Delights

Hey everyone, Anne here from Anne-Made and today I'm sharing another slimline card I created for the Dies R Us Inspiration team.

Before we get started, I wanted to let you know there is one more day to apply for the DRU Inspiration DT Call. All the details about the call can be found HERE.

And now, for today's project. The following dies were used to create this slimline card:

This slimline card is a bit wider than the dies that I had, so I created my own based on the width of the Ocean Waves die.  I started out by die cutting the Palm Trees from black shimmery cardstock and then paper piecing the moon and the branches.  For the moon, I die cut a piece of double sided adhesive and covered it with glitter.

The Ocean Waves die is a layering die, so I die cut it from two different shades of blue. This is a rectangular shape and I wanted a curve at the top, so eyeballed it and cut it with scissors. I also wanted sparkle underneath, so using the die cut as a template, I cut a piece of double sided adhesive, adhering one side to a piece of cardstock and adding glitter to the other side. I then adhered the die cut waves on top.

I stamped and fussy cut out several fairies from the Lavinia stamp Three Dancing Fairies. I also stamped the dolphin onto grey cardstock and fussy cut him out. (Any of these dolphin dies would also work.)

For the sentiment, I wanted a belly band sort of look. My sentiment is half of a stamped image called Dreams and Delights and by masking the "Dreams" part, I was able to stamp the part I wanted onto the belly band. It looks like I really messed up my stamping, but the stamp actually was designed this way. 😁 I heat embossed it using Hero Arts White embossing powder.

I hope you've enjoyed today's project.  Here is one final look:

Happy Birthday

 Hello crafty friends,

Mary back with a masculine birthday card today.   I know most of us struggle to come up with ideas for guys cards.  If your guys are anything like mine, simple is best, so I've learned to keep my cards for them fairy basic, but with an eye on design.

When I do cards for guys I tend to reach for bold dies that cover most of the my card front.  I feel this allows me to "get away" with little effort (product) on the card, but still giving the card a bold look.

For this card, I started with a per-stamped (Penny Black Birthday Candles) slim card front panel I had on my desk.  I adhered two fussy cut "happy" from the Die-Versions Solo Sentiments Happy Birthday die, across the stamped candles.  On the card's inside, I stamped another row of candles and adhered a full Happy Birthday die cut in the center.

If you're wondering about the color/ink... I will admit, I tried splashing some gold ink (to match the gold letters) on the finished card and it totally didn't work.  I ended up making an inky mess! But I worked through my mistake and created a "grungy" look I could live with.

Here's a close up of the inside:

I believe

 Hello Everyone

This is Alycia from My Craft Addiction here with you today for a little Christmas Cheer

I used this really cute Snowmen Snowglobe die  and framed in a tree die.  This is so much fun and brought me joy.

I do believe this will bring you magic in making this card.

I really found that when you use the Sticky Specs is extremely useful for the delicate dies.

Snowflake background was so much fun to make.  I used white embossing powder from Hero arts on Velum.  Be careful when using velum and heat tool.  I totally recked the first two backgrounds I made LOL

Have a great day and enjoy

Whimsical Love Tree

 Happy Wednesday, everyone!

It's Nancy, from The Nickel Nook, back to share some inspiration.

Just before I get started on my card,
I wanted to remind you that Dies R Us is having a DT Call!
You'll find all the details by clicking on the link in the sidebar.

Here's my card:

I began with a cream colored card base,
to which I added a panel of blue cardstock.

I die-cut the tree out of the same cream cardstock,
and then cut just the butterfly area out of more blue cardstock.

Once the tree was adhered to the card,
I fussy cut the blue buttrfly, and adhered the body only.
I bent up the wings to give it some lovely dimension.

Finally, I added several drops of Bisque Liquid Pearls to the butterfly body.

This is a really fun die to play with.
There are several elements that can be cut out and layered.
There are also multiple options for embellishment.
It would be a lovely card for any occasion!

Bright and Happy Birthday Card

Hey there!

It's Judy here with a birthday card design

that is bright and happy!

I used a variety of dies from the

I chose my papers and made a 5 x 6.5 inch card base.

Decided which dies to use

Die cutting came next

I layered yellow, green and white card stock
on the card base. 3 banner shapes where layered
and I decided to add a narrow strip of patterned paper
behind, which is the other side of the brick pattern.

The border piece which is layered with 3 colors
was place over the banners and the foliage and flowers
were added next.

I added the die cut sentiment to the lower right corner.
Pink pearls were added for accent.

Luna

Hey everyone, Anne here from Anne-Made and today I'm sharing a slimline card I created for the Dies R Us Inspiration team.  I love making these long, slim cards. 😀

Before getting started, I wanted to let you know that the DRU Inspiration team is having a DT Call. All the details about the call can be found HERE.

Now more about today's project. The following dies were used to create this slimline card:

Memory Box: Big Splash Border
(Any of these wave dies would work but this Frantic Stamper die or this Joy! Craft die are the most similar.)

I started out with white cardstock and die cut my slimline focal point.  Then I die cut the waves border and adhered it to the cardstock, making sure to not adhere the actual curly cue waves.  VersaFine Clair inks were used to create my background.  Next I die cut the mini sea shells and the sea birds to get ready to add them to my scene.

I stamped the Moon Fairy by Lavinia stamps in the upper right hand corner of the card. Since the moon portion of the stamp is open, I added white paint within the border of the moon and once that was dry, I added yellow marker.  I also added white paint to the large stars on the stamped image.

I stamped Luna, the whale onto a piece of white cardstock and fussy cut her out so I could position her under the ocean waves and looking up at the moon.  (This Poppystamps die would also work well.)  The Berry Wreath stamp (also by Lavinia) and more VersaFine Clair ink was used to stamp on the ocean floor.

I wasn't quite happy with everything and decided I needed a few more stars in the sky.  I reached for the Stars Miniature stamp from Lavinia and stamped them with Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink.

I adhered my focal piece onto a purple layer and then to the black card base.

Hello Paris

Mary back today with a cheerful greeting, which is sadly not coming to you from Paris, but once this pandemic is over my plans to visit Paris will be back on track and all the dies and stamps I purchased to document the trip will get lots of used in my Paris Travel Journal.   In the meantime, I will showcase the dies and stamps on my cards here and on my blog.

For today's card I used distressed inks and an stitched oval die to create a front shaker card panel.

I placed a white glitter die cut La Tour Eiffel die by Frantic Stamper in the center of my oval window and a white glitter die cut hello die by Spellbinders along the top left arch of the oval.  Here's a link all the hello dies currently available... I'm off to find a French hello die :)

Let's build a house

 Hello Everyone.

It is my, Alycia, from My Craft Addiction.  Today I bring you Let's build a house.

This die is Winter house pop up easel set by Poppy Stamps. This die set has so many potentials.  Choosing a winter scene was something I could use for my Christmas card collection. I used the background stencil from lawn fawn but you could use the Heffy Doodle Brick by Brick stencil.  I used the Pumice Stone Distress ink by Ranger.

I would use any glitter paper for the snow die from this set.  You could also use any type of glitter with some liquid glue.  Cosmic Shimmer glitter would work wonderful with the Quickie Glue Roller Pen.  Using the glue will allow for as much or as little glitter you want.  I love adding ALOT of glitter on a Christmas Card

Thank you for crafting with me.

Have a wonderful day
