Hello and Goodbye!

Happy Weekend Dies R Us Fans!
Before the Inspiration Team begins sharing a new week of inspirational samples, we wanted to let you all know about a little 'change' in the team line up here at the DRU Inspiration Blog.

Effective March 1st ...
Team mate Robin will be stepping down from our Inspiration team due to new obligations in her crafting life. HOWEVER, we are happy to say you will still be seeing Robin's fabulous designs as a member of the Dies R Us Challenge Blog design team!  So she's not left us completely!  Whew!

Filling Robin's Thursday time slot here at the Inspiration Blog will be someone you may already be familiar with.  Please welcome Diane Hover (Nellie's Nest) to the Inspiration Team.  Diane is already a member of the DRU family by holding a spot on Team B at our Dies R Us Challenge Blog.

Shine YOU are Fabulous!

Happy Friday Dies R Us friends!

For my inspirational DT card for Dies R Us this week I started with my coloured image and a single doily die - the beautiful Cheery Lyn Canadian Kaleidoscope Doily , and shortly after it morphed into this creation.

Dies used include:

My wonderful image is the current February Art by Miran Facebook group's progressive challenge image called 'Gem'. I've coloured her with Copics and framed her with Taylored Expressions Label Stacklet 1. I tucked the Cheery Lyn Canadian Kaleidoscope Doily which was cut using a bold blue foil paper under my image and a sheer ivory ribbon. Here is a close up of 'Gem'.

I needed to add some more interest so used the Sizzix - Tim Holtz - Rosette, topped with a sequin and rhinestone (for just a bit more sparkle!) and added the Magnolia Doohickey Twisted Swirl as a flourish filler. My sentiment is cut using Docrafts Xcut Nesting Circle.

I hope you've had a chance to check out the other amazing creations from all of the other members of the Dies R Us Design Team. Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of us again and until next week, happy crafting!

A Special Baby Card

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration design of the week for Dies R Us! This week will be my last weekly post for the Dies R Us inspirational blog but I will continue with the Dies R Us Challenge Blog! In my place will be Diane Hover, who is a great designer and I am sure her projects will inspire you!

My design for this week started when I received this beautiful die set, Spanish Collection-Cordoba by Sue Wilson!
I created an A7 top fold card base from white card stock. Then cut with the two larger dies from the set using white card stock. I then cut, from a pink polka dot paper, using the largest die only, to create a background for my white die cut. I adhered the die cut to the background using liquid glue. I then embossed a piece of white card stock, cut slightly smaller than my card base, using Spellbinders EG-002 embossing folder and added to my card base.

I made a three loop bow, added to my die cut and adhered to my card base with foam pop ups. The sentiment is stamped onto the oval from the side set and added to card with more pop ups. To finish the card I added pearls to my sentiment tag. I hope you will check out all the Sue Wilson dies...they are to die for!

Be sure to stop by the Dies R Us challenge blog, they have a new challenge starting the 1st and 15th of each month! It's easy to enter and you just might win a Dies R Us gift card!

See you on the challenge blog, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Birthday Wishes!

Happy Wednesday!

Can you believe this is the last Wednesday in the month already?  I don't know about you, but I'm counting the days until Spring and knowing that March is this close means that Spring can't be far behind!  I decided to share a cheerful little birthday card today made with a darling Wild Rose Studio stamp.  I just adore this little guy and I'm hoping he will be a hit with the person receiving this card. And gals (and guys), you don't need a ton of dies for this one.  I used only one die on this, Spellbinders Nestabilities Oval Bliss (which is currently out of stock, but should be back in soon).  There are SO many gorgeous dies that would work just as well & we carry them all! Check out the AMAZING selection at the Dies R Us store!

Be sure you stop by to check out the fantastic posts from Robin and Alicia tomorrow & Friday.  And don't forget to go back to Monday & Tuesday's posts as well if you haven't checked out Mikha & Darlene's cute cards!  We also have a couple of days left in the current Dies R Us Challenge Blog, so be sure you head over there too!

I'll see you next Wedneday!  Enjoy the rest of your week, everyone!

Heart of my Heart . . .

Hello Dies R Us Fans!
It's Tuesday and that means that it is time once again for me Darlene to hopefully inspire you with a new card sample using dies available at our Dies R Us Store!
I am loving all these new 'heart' dies (and have added several to my stash, lol) but today I'm using one I've had in my collection for awhile now.  I just think it's gorgeous and can certainly be used for a variety of occasions.

SEE!
Isn't it beautiful!!
This is the Cheery Lynn Designs 'Lattice Heart with Vines' #B368 die and I've paired it with another GORGEOUS die set from the Creative Expressions Sue Wilson 'Spanish Collection - Cordoba #CED1206 for the background panel.  I actually die cut all three of the Sue Wilson dies at the same time then proceeded to use each panel on a different card.  How cool is that!!  And time saving too!

Both panels have been popped up onto the background panel, Kaiser pearls added to the corners then it was time to add a few more embellishments.  I decided a touch of organza ribbon and a 'floral bouquet' were in order.  So, to accomplish my bouquet, I turned to my Cheery Lynn Designs 'Sweet William Strip' #B307 to create today's flowers.  A few sprigs of flourish from Marianne #LR0157 and a touch of sparkle to the floral centers ... VIOLA!  bouquet was complete.

I do hope you've found inspiration in today's creation.
And, OMG have you been following along with all the amazing creations my team mates have been sharing??  Well if you haven't, you really need to pop in any day Monday through Friday for a fabulous dose of inspiration using so many of the amazing dies available at our store!!!

Here's a peek at the inside . . .
. . . using the following dies:  Cheery Lynn Designs 'Margarita Border' #B432,
Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' #30036

Don't forget to come join in the challenge fun too!
A new challenge is offered on the 1st and 15th of each month!
You can get all the details here on our
Hope to see you there!  There's still time to join in our current challenge ... it runs through the 28th.

ALL details can be found on my blog.
Thanks for stopping by today ...
I'll be back again next Tuesday ...
Till then . . .

Lucky Shamrock

Happy Dies R Us Thursday everyone! Robin here with my Thursday inspiration of the week for your one stop shop for dies, Dies R Us! Valentine's Day has come and gone, so on to the next holiday St. Patrick's Day!

For this card I started with a side fold A2 white card base. My flourish was cut from white card stock and green card stock using Die-Versions Shamrock Flourish. I cut out the individual shamrocks, glued them to the white flourish and added diamond dust to them. I stamped my sentiment onto a polka dot green paper and added the flourish. I layered the flourish panel to green card stock and added to my card base with foam tape.
To finish the card I added a few round satin rhinestones. To make this card even more simple you could color the shamrocks using a green marker.

Monday thru Friday the Dies R Us Design Team have some amazing inspiration for you! So be sure to check out the DRU Blog for more creative ideas.

Dies R Us has a new challenge on the 1st and 15th of each month, see all the details at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog! You might be the next winner for a Gift Voucher!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by...Robin

Fluttering Butterflies

Hello again, everyone!

Another Wednesday has rolled around already & we all made it through Valentine's Day!  If you are like me, you are thinking of all the other cards you need to be catching up on & today's post may be just what you are looking for!  Sometimes it's nice to send a "Thinking of You" card....something to let the other person know they are in your thoughts and maybe give them a bit of cheer for the day.  We all like surprise cards in our mailboxes instead of the usual bills & junk mail!  With just two dies you can create a beautiful card just perfect for this purpose.  It's the perfect way to stay in touch!  The two dies you need are Memory Box Fluttering Corner & Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterflies Small.

I fell in love with this Memory Box butterfly corner the minute I laid eyes on it!  I'm already planning a lot more cards using this gorgeous die!

Head on over to the store & see what other amazing dies we have gotten in!  And remember, we also carry stamps & embossing folders too!  Check it out!!

Until next Wednesday, have a wonderful week & find some time to create something beautiful!

Butterflies and Flowers

Hello Dies R Us Friends!
Darlene here!  And, I don't know about you, but I am SO READY for butterflies and flowers!
Hence, the inspiration for today's card creation!

I've used the following dies from the Dies R Us Store on today's card creation:

I just love both of these butterfly dies!

Both are so delicate looking and I really love how the tiny butterflies at the top of the corner die are cut in such a manner that you can lift the wings for dimension!  I've added a touch of diamond Stickles to each little butterfly on the corner die for sparkle & texture.

The Devine Butterfly was actually cut from a scrap of the design paper used for the background on my card.   I then sponged on a bit of Tim Holtz 'salty ocean' & 'picked raspberry' distress inks to achieve the color.  And, lastly covered it with diamond Stickles.  SO PRETTY IRL!!

It's amazing how quickly (and beautifully) a card can come together with just a few die cuts!  Be sure to pop over to the store to find all the new release dies available for purchase.  And remember, if by chance it is 'Out of Stock', just click on the Put Me On The Waiting List button, add your information and you'll be notified by email when it's back in stock.  It truly doesn't take long at all!!
All the fine details on these cards can be seen on my personal blog found here.

OH and won't you please come join in our fun challenges!

Ladybug Birthday

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is for a special little ladybug who will be celebrating her first birthday later this month.

Dies used include:

I used this sweet CC Designs stamp 'Lil Bug Emma' and coloured her in with my Copics. I framed her with the Spellbinders Label Nine before layering her over the Kaisercraft Lace Border.

Because I die cut the Die-Mensions Birthday Balloon on black, I needed to lift it from the designer paper, so I simply traced around the outside of the die and fussy cut it out giving me a perfectly shaped backing! I added the Cheery Lyn Designs Lace Corner Deco B for some interest in the corners and added a couple of lines of chevron washi tape and just a single little wooden ladybug (hiding in the top left corner  :)

I hope you've had a chance to check out the other amazing creations from all of the other members of the Dies R Us Design Team. Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of us again and until next week, happy crafting!

Wreath Filled with Love

Happy Dies R Us Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration of the week for you! Day after tomorrow is Valentine's Day and there is still time for you to make a few cards.
My design starts with an A2 top fold card base which is layered with a dot pattern embossed piece of card stock. The wreath is Memory Box Bloomington Wreath that I cut using white card stock. What I love about this die is it also acts as a stencil! If you leave your card stock in the die you can easily sponge colors of your choice onto the wreath. By just a change of color this die can be used for any occasion or season. This die is one to have in your arsenal.
Another multi-use die is the Love Border Word die from Impression Obsession. This word die cuts on the edge or you can cut it down, like I did here, to suit your design.  The wreath was added to my card base using foam pop ups and love was added with liquid glue.

Don't forget to sign up for the Dies R Us newsletter! Stay up to date on sales and new products! Also check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog featuring two challenges per month!

Wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day! Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Love Grows Here!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

It's almost time to finish up those Valentine cards you have been working on & I have one more idea to help you with a quick & simple one today.  I'm sure you all have a favorite Valentine image (or sentiment) that you go back to again & again & for me, one of them is this Penny Black set of hedgehogs.  I knew exactly which die I wanted them to go into too, but unfortunately, the image was just a hair bigger than the inside dimensions of my die.  No problem!  I just fussy cut the image out after I colored it & mounted it on top of my beautiful die.  You can do this with any image or sentiment yourself & still create a beautiful card.

The dies I used on this one were the Cheery Lynn Sweetheart Frame and Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two.  I think both of these should be must-haves for anyone who crafts!

Remember to check out both of our Blogs!  The daily inspiration blog (where you are at now) and the Dies R Us Challenge Blog that posts new challenges on the first & fifteenth of every month for a chance to win a gift certificate to the store!  I don't know of any other company who carries as many different die companies as we do or has better shipping rates either!  Check it out & don't forget to sign up for the newsletter so you won't miss out on special offers!

Catch you back here next Wednesday with something I think you will love!

Happy Crafting!!

For the Men . . .

Hello Dies R Us Fans!
Darlene here to share an idea for masculine card creations.
I know a lot of us struggle making cards for the men in our lives and hopefully this little idea will be helpful to you.
I have used one particular die set on ALL three cards.

This die set is one of the NEW release dies so if by chance it is Out Of Stock, simply click on the Put Me On The Waiting List button, fill in the information and you'll be notified via email as soon as it's back on the shelf.  It's usually a pretty quick turn around so don't hesitate to utilize this fabulous option.

This die set is so versatile.
As you can see, my first card utilizes the banner's with the letters popped out ...
my second card utilizes those POPPED OUT letters.

AND, since I could only use 2 banners on my second card,
I created a third card using the other three banners from the set.
On this third card I also used the Memory Box 'Sea Side Treasures' #99107 die set as embellishment as well as making it more 'personal' by adding the Cheery Lynn Designs 'Grandpa' #B287 die.

All the fine details on these cards can be seen on my personal blog found here.

When you have such fabulous die cuts available for purchase at our Dies R Us Store you can go crazy creating ... whether it for men, women or children ... there is something for everyone available ... come check it out!!  NEW ITEMS being added all the time ... you won't want to miss out!

Speaking of missing out!
Have you been playing along in our Dies R Us Challenges?
NO?!  Well then you must pop on over and join in the fun!
YOU could be the winner of a Store Voucher or be picked among our Design Team Favorites!
You still have a couple days to join in the current challenge!
New challenges are posted on the 1st and 15th of each month.

I will be back again next Tuesday ... but be sure to pop in each and every week day to find inspiration from my team mates!  We all have a different style so I'm sure you'll find some fascinating and fun ideas!  Till then ...

Two for One!

Happy Dies R Us Thursday everyone! Robin here with my design of the week! Valentine's Day is one of my favorite days to give cards so I hope I'm not overdoing this "heart" thing but I can't stop myself!

My card base for both cards is an A2 ( 4 1/4 x 5 1/2) top fold card. Since I wanted a red and white card I cut each image twice, once from red and then from white card stock.  The dies I used are both from Tailored Expressions, Postage Stamp Stacklets and Love Tree.  The cute postage stamp die has stitching around the edge...love this! I used spray adhesive to attach the trees to the postage stamp, added ribbon to the bottom, then added foam tape to the back and added to my card bases. The love die cut was added to the bottom with liquid glue and the card was finished with smooth rhinestones on the tree.

Be sure to stop by Dies R Us and see all the new products! This IS your one stop for everything dies! As always, shipping is FREE on orders $35 to more!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Some Bunny Loves You!

Hi, fellow crafters!

Once again, Wednesday has rolled around & it's time for my turn to share a bit of inspiration.  I know it may be a bit early to begin on Easter cards, but if you have been to the Dies R Us store lately, you know how many absolutely incredible dies they are carrying.  And not just for Easter, either!!

My Easter card for today uses only two dies & goes together so quickly you will be amazed.  The two dies are Die-Namites Spring Egg Scene & Spellbinders A-2 Fancy Ribbon Threader.

I love the look of this beautiful "egg" matted with the Spellbinder die.  You can change the look of this card entirely by switching to other colors or using contrasting ribbon.  If you have no ribbon to match, you can just as easily cut a narrow band of your paper & thread THAT through the slits! That's a trick I have used many times.

Don't forget to check out the rest of our great design team posts this week too!  Our gals have so many wonderful ideas that you are sure to find something that inspires you!  And remember, the Dies R Us Challenge Blog just began a new challenge on the first!

Enjoy the rest of your week & create something fantastic!
