Time for Tea

Happy Halloween to all of my Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is courtesy of the postman who delivered a pack of new dies from Dies R Us, just in time for me to sit and have a play! One of them was this gorgeous Poppystamps Teacup Stack. I also found along the way that I have a new favourite die too!...

Dies used include:

Eureka Stamps Tea Cup 9701

I used a Eureka Stamps classic tea cup digi to match with my beautiful designer paper. After colouring the image with Copics I fussy cut it and framed it with the Spellbinders Label 1. I dry embossed the frame and swiped it with some shimmer chalk. Here is a close up of the detailed stamp.

I cut out the Poppystamps Teacup Stack in two colours so that I could add the pink hearts and dots as highlights. I used the same blue cardstock for the Cheery Lyn Designs Zig Zag Ric Rac which is my new favourite die as it is quick, easy and visually very effective. I love that now I can easily match some ric-rac to my cards without the hassle of having to colour it in with Copics!

To finish it off I wrote a simple sentiment with the Cheery Lyn Designs Label 1 and added some twine, a cute little tea pot button and some Liquid Pearls.

There is a brand new challenge starting tomorrow over at the Challenge Blog. Challenge #13 is a 'Thankful' challenge. So think about Thanksgiving, Thankful, Give Thanks, Thank You. Be sure to check it out tomorrow as there is some exceptional DT creations from the talented Team A. To be in the running for the $10 voucher at the Dies R Us store simply use a die in your challenge entry.

Fall is in the Air

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with another inspiration for Dies R Us; your super store of everything dies! There is definitely a touch of Fall here in SoCal, finally…OK, it's still in the 80's but the mornings are 60! I'll take what I can get right now, LOL.

This simple die, Pinecone Frame from Memory Box, inspired my design for the week. This die makes two cuts at once, one is a frame with branch and the other is a background with pine cones.  I cut once with a neutral paper and again with a dark brown paper. The neutral paper was then stamped with an all over pattern; I then stamped the pine boughs down the length of the branch, layered the stamped paper onto a polka dot brown cardstock and then "inlayed" the dark brown frame and branch.
Check out the many dies carried by Dies R Us, seriously huge selection! Plus shipping is free with a purchase of $35 or more, can't beat that. You have no excuses for not finding "that" special die.

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Sticky Fingers!

Hello, again friends!

Can you believe it is already "hump" day and the week is half over?  And Christmas Eve is only 8 Wednesdays away!  Which means you are probably doing the same thing I am....working on Christmas cards!  Today I'm sharing a card made with some of my favorite dies & one of my favorite digi stamps. The digi stamp is from Mo Manning & is actually called "Sticky"........probably because of the sticky fingers he will have from this giant candy cane!

The dies I used on this card are as follows: Impression Obsession Fir Trees, Spellbinders Decorative Labels 27,  and Memory Box Pinecone Corner.  I cut the Pinecone Corner twice.  The first time in green & the second time in brown.  By just cutting the pinecones away from the brown version, you can easily glue them over your green die cut which will give you an additional depth to the corner.  I also used a Wink of Stella clear pen on top of the pinecones for some extra glitter & interest.  I added some red Stickles to the candy cane too.  You can never have too much glitter!  ha  ha

I hope you are now pumped up to try your hand at a card of your own!  If you do, be sure you check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog as we offer a new challenge on the first & the fifteenth of each month.  The lucky winner will get a gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store!   I don't know of anywhere you can shop & find a bigger variety of companies all under one roof!  Check it out!

Be sure to check the blog daily for inspiration from our terrific design team too!

Until next week, happy crafting!

Fabulous Feathers

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is all about my favourite animal: the peacock.

Dies used include:

I'd had this stunning image from Some Odd Girl called Peacock Kaylee for a while but had never done anything with it, until now. I didn't have just that right paper to go with this so I had a look through my impressive digital collection and found a kit called 'Pretty as a Peacock' by A-Manda Creations. Because its a digital kit I was able to tweak the colour tones so that they matched my image and printed them out on matt photo paper on my home printer.

I framed the image with Spellbinders Modern Stationary and embossed the image, which I then trimmed so that the border wan't as wide compared to the next size up in die.

I had THE PERFECT DIE to embellish this card and that was with the Spellbinders Jewel Fantasies on some bright cardstock to emphasize the hair & feather colour. After layering my card together I still felt that there was something missing so I reached for one of my trust favourite dies, the Cheery Lyn Designs Alison's Ribbons to add a simple, yet elegant decorateive ribbon.

I finished this card off with my trusty Wink of Stella, a few rhinestones & a splash of Liquid Pearls. Done. Simple, stylish, colourful & elegant, just like a real peacock!

There is still time to play along over at the Challenge Blog. Challenge #12 will be running through until on October 28. The theme is 'Halloween' so get your spook on & join in the creative fun! There is a great variety of awesome DT creations from the talented Team B. To be in the running for the $10 voucher at the Dies R Us store simply use a die in your challenge entry. So get your craft on & make something something spooky over the weekend!

I hope you've had a chance to check out the other amazing creations from all of the other members of the Dies R Us Design Team. Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of us again and until next week, happy crafting!

"Trick or Treat"

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with another inspiration for Dies R Us! Only a few days left before Halloween so this is my last Halloween design for this year, boo hoo!  But we still have our "Halloween" challenge going on at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog; stop by and look at all the great designs from our design team and everyone who has posted in the challenge gallery! You still have time to submit a Halloween design for our twice monthly challenge!
I decided to use several dies to make this fun card; I have listed the dies used at the end of my post. After layering my Happy Halloween onto the lime green background paper I cut a circle and backed it with a swirly orange paper. The edges were sponged along with the edges of the moon. Next I added the Manor House and backed it with the same swirly orange paper, added the Grand Willow Tree, the Trick or Treat Border (super cute), the ghost in the door and lastly the bats.
The tree was cut down to fit my card, so don't ever hesitate to trim your die cuts to suit your design!

Dies used:
Happy Halloween Border - Memory Box
Manor House - Memory Box
Trick or Treat Border - Cheery Lynn
Ghost Trio - Memory Box
Grand Willow Tree - Memory Box
Bunch Of Bats - Memory Box

Be sure to sign up for the Dies R Us newsletter to stay up to date on pre-orders, new arrivals AND sales! Dies R Us is your one stop shop for everything dies plus shipping is FREE when you spend $35 or more!

The Star of the Show!

Happy Wednesday, friends!

I'm sure a lot of you are working on your Christmas cards right now, aren't you?  Me too!  I found this adorable digi from Sassy Cheryl that I just couldn't pass up!  I'm sure he is the star of the show among all the other snowmen.  I fell in love with his happy face & knew he would make an adorable Christmas card.

I used the following dies on him:  Taylored Expressions Picket Fence, Memory Box Beloved Stars, Spellbinders Marvelous Squares, & Impression Obsession Evergreen Trees.

All of the additional stars were from the Memory Box Beloved Stars die! I have to admit, I originally purchased that die to use on Fourth of July cards, but quickly realized that there are so many Christmas stamps that include stars in some way and it was the perfect addition to those cards! Don't limit your dies to one holiday or one type of card!  Learn to think outside the box & you will realize just how versatile all your dies are!

Be sure to head on over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog!  Right now, our challenge is Halloween and there is still time to enter YOUR creation for the chance to win a gift certificate!

Don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Store too!  They have so many amazing dies, stamps & embossing folders you will be drooling before you are halfway through the first company!  We also have the best shipping deal out there! Spend just $35 and domestic shipping is free.  International shipping is free over $50 and even if you don't spend that much, regular shipping is just $3.95!  AMAZING bargain!

Catch you all again next week!  Don't forget to come back here tomorrow to see what amazing project Robin has to share & again on Friday to check out Alicia's inspiration!  I'm sure Mikha & Darlene have already given you a lot of good ideas with their earlier posts!

Happy creating!

Hi everybody!!

It's Monday again, means Mikha is here, bringing  you new inspiration for Dies R Us Inspirational Blog ;)
I'm showing you another birthday card!
Guess I have too much birthday card to make. LOL. And actually, this is my birthday month too, I just had it last week ;) hehe...

This one is for Monica.
I used Teddy Bear Love from Magnolia which totally perfect for her because of her love of Teddy bear :)

Sadly right now both of them are out of stock.
If you're interested, you could just click "Put Me On Waiting List". We will contact you as soon as they're back in stock!!

I coloured Tilda in black and white, using new copics I get as my birthday present from mom and dad ;)
Somehow I love how it turned out ;)

Been a while since I used any pins, and here they are, back in my card, hehe..
And yes, flowers, doily and pearls are the must!

I'm using Tim Holtz Vintage Market alphabeth to cut the name. Yes, it's beautiful ;)

And that's it.
I wish you come back again tomorrow. Our Darlene's gonna show you something interesting you want to try ;)

Don't forget to pop on the STORE, we just have new arrival of Cheery Lynn and some other new brand dies!!

Thinking of You

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us was requested by my husband. Earlier this week he asked me to create a card for a long-time work colleague who's pet dog sadly died. I had this perfect stamp to use to represent her loss and was able to put this together quickly for him.

Dies used include:

Magnolia Tilda with Puppy Present

I kept this card very simple as I wanted to be able to see the sweet designer paper which inspired my colour pallet. I coloured 'Tilda with Puppy Present' in with Copics and double framed her with the Spellbinders Label Thirty Six

I used the Memory Box Macarena Corner and the Die-Versions Viney Heart to give some subtle feature and dimension to the card and added my sentiment with a Docrafts Xcut Tags & Bookplates tied on with some seambinding ribbon. Add a swipe of Vintage Photo Distress ink and a sprinkle of Frantage Shabby Pink embossing powder and the card was finished.

Magnolia Tilda with Puppy Present

Witchy Shoes

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration of the week for Dies R Us! Check out Dies R Us for all your die shopping needs.
I think Halloween is my favorite holiday and this card just says it all! I fell in love with Taylored Expressions The Witch Is In die set; lots of options for shoe style and leggings, LOL. I stamped my sentiment, from Taylored Expressions and used Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Rectangles  to cut it out along with a contrast scalloped rectangle. The witches hat is from the Spellbinders set Witches Brew.
After wrapping the purple scalloped rectangle with ribbon I added my sentiment with foam pop ups, glued the witch's legs between the layers and added it to my card with more foam pop ups. The hat was added along with the purple nail heads on the witches shoes!

By now we are all into Halloween on the DRU Challenge Blog! Stop by the blog and see how easy it is to enter…you just might win a gift certificate to Dies R Us!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

I'll Have A Blue Christmas!

Hi, friends!

Wednesday again & time for a bit of inspiration from me today!  I don't know how many Elvis fans we have out there, but today's inspiration from me was inspired by his beautiful song, "Blue Christmas" so I decided to go with blues for my card.  I think we are all programmed to think of Christmas cards as mostly reds & greens, but some of the non-traditional colors are gorgeous too!

I used the following dies for this card: Poppy Stamps Small Luxe Poinsettia Background, Poppy Stamps Small Luxe Poinsettia Outline, Spellbinders Labels Twenty, Poppy Stamps Heart Lattice Background, & Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves.

To get this gorgeous background effect, I cut a piece of white cardstock the same size as my card front & placed my Spellbinders Labels Twenty die directly in the center.  I kept the center portion to use at a later time & grabbed the cutout & set it aside.  When I cut this card, I used blue cardstock to eliminate one extra layer. By cutting out the Heart Lattice Background and gluing that directly on top of the blue card, I just had to add the final layer I made with the Labels Twenty die.

I bought the poinsettia dies to layer separately, but decided at the last minute to actually glue them together only to make them easier to mail.  The rest of my cards will have the leaves separate and shaped with my stylus for a totally different look.  Try both versions to see which YOU like! That's the fun thing about dies, there is no wrong or right way to use them!

Be sure to check out the Dies R Us Store for the most complete variety of dies, stamps & embossing folders you can find anywhere!  As well as the lowest prices AND lowest shipping rates!!

For even more fun, head on over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog where a new "Halloween" challenge is starting today!  You could be the lucky winner of a gift certificate!

Check out the other designers here too!

See you next week!  Until then, be sure you spend at least one day creating something beautiful!

Blue Birds singing . . .

Love Because You Can!

Hello Dies R Us friends and welcome back to our Inspiration Blog.  Our team is here to inspire you Monday through Friday, showcasing some of the FABULOUS dies available for your purchase at our Dies R Us Store.

Sue Wilson Designs - Spanish Collection - BackgroundMy card today uses a variety of fun dies and, I based the entire card around this beautiful image I found over on Pinterest recently.  The gorgeous background die is one of the Sue Wilson Designs dies from Creative Expressions ... Spanish Collection Background 'CED1201'.  Isn't it just gorgeous?  And since you can't see the center portion, here's a closeup of what the die looks like.  These dies are all so pretty you almost hate to cover them up with anything else!

Behind my bird image I had die cut the Cheery Lynn Designs 'Mandy Doily #DL276' in white card stock then die cut a blue panel using a Spellbinder Classic circle die.  Another blue panel was die cut with a Spellbinder Scallop circle die, cut in half and positioned on the bottom of my image panel.

Now that I'm looking at this background die image ... and my finished card ... I could have very easily cut the entire center part out and used it on another creation!
Dang!!!  Oh well ... I'll remember that for next time!

OH and at the last minute I decided I needed to add this fabulous Memory Box 'Party Music' #98757 panel on the front to pull out the music background of my image.  There!  Perfect!
I few added pearls and ribbon and my card is ready to send off in the mail!
To finish the inside, I've used a few more dies available at Dies R Us Store.  A 'portion' of Spellbinder 'Fancy Lattice' #S5-152   and Cheery Lynn Designs 'Happy'  #B226 and 'Birthday'  #B231

So there you  have it!
With all these amazing dies available at the Dies R Us Store, you can make a beautiful card inside & out in no time at all!  Be sure to pop over and check out the growing list of dies available to you.  And if by chance it's out of stock ... simply click on the 'Put Me On The Waiting List' tab, add your information and you'll be notified as soon as it's once again available (which usually isn't very long at all!).

Just a quick reminder also of our DIES R US CHALLENGE BLOG!  A new challenge goes live on the 1st and 15th of each month with one lucky winner receiving a gift prize to the Dies R Us Store.  Won't you come join in the fun!?!

Live Laugh Love

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

Wow, what a week its been. Sorry everyone for my late inspirational post, I've been stuck on a forced extended holiday due to car problems (how bad can that really be?...) I've missed my studio very much and as soon as I got home and unpacked I headed straight in there to make this card for a dear friend who move interstate to be with her family.

Dies used include:

This sweet digi is from QKR Stampede and I've coloured it with Copics. I cut the image and cardstock with the same Spellbinders Label 1 die. I embossed the image before trimming the embossed edge to give a narrow border when layered together.

To bring out the beautiful blue in the designer paper, I matched some cardstock and used both the Cheery Lyn Southern Charm Valance and the Memory Box Macarena Corner on the same cardstock I layered the designer papers on. To finish I used the Docrafts Xcut Tags & Bookplates with a simple, sweet sentiment. Add a splash of Wink of Stella on the shell image & some gems & its complete!

If you haven't already popped over to the shop swing by to get all of these dies (& oh so much more!). And if you are like me you will love the free shipping on all orders over $50 for international shipments and just $35 for all domestic ones too. You will also receive 1 reward point for every dollar you spend. For all of the rewards information see here.

Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of the ladies on the  Dies R Us team. Until next week, happy crafting!

Fall Blessings

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration of the week for Dies R Us! You really should stop by the shop and see how many new dies have arrived for the holidays!
My card started with the Thicket Wreath die from Poppystamps. I cut the wreath from a tone on tone polka dot dark brown card stock. This die does double duty as a stencil, great idea Poppystamps! By leaving the paper in the die I was able to color the leaves quite easily! I used the Paper Smooches Dot & Dashes to create the stitched edge on my sentiment banner.
The little Fall tag is accented with a leaf from Impression Obsessions Small Leaf Set, too cute! The card is finished with a few wraps of twine, small twine bow and a button!
Just a quick reminder, shipping is FREE when your order is $35 or more! I think that is the lowest minimum on the web! Be sure to check out all the Design Team members inspirations for the week on our Dies R Us Blog!

And, our Challenge Blog will have a new challenge starting next week; the theme is "Halloween".

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

It's Your Day!

Hello, again!

Yes, it's Wednesday already!  I know as the summer disappears, it seems the days are already getting shorter or maybe it just feels that way because we are all getting busier!  I've been busy concentrating on my holiday cards this past week, but wouldn't you know it, I had to stop to make a birthday card right in the middle!  The card I ended up with was a simple card to make and one you could easily make ahead to keep in your emergency stash.  I took a simple image & really dressed it up with the beautiful lacy dies I chose. The dies I used for this card are as Spellbinders Decorative Labels One, Magnolia Doohickey Cute Corner & Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterfly Small.

There are 3 butterfly dies in the Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterfly set I used and they have been favorites of mine for years!  They are all different sizes & shapes & at least one of them is always perfect for whatever spot I need one.   If you haven't stopped at the Dies R Us Store recently, you are missing all the new products we carry now!  At last count, I think we carry around 42 different companies along with the European dies that we carry quite often.  Be sure you are signed up for our newsletter so you won't miss anything!  You won't be sorry! And you won't find lower prices OR lower shipping rates anywhere else!  Take it from a die "addict"....I won't shop anywhere else!

Once you are finished shopping, head on over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog & join in for a chance to win a gift certificate!

Until next Wednesday, happy crafting!

Christmas is coming . . .

. . . are you working on your holiday cards??

Hello Dies R Us Friends!
Darlene here today with an easy yet elegant holiday card that you could make in just a few minutes!!

Using:

TIP TODAY:
I have found using the E6000 Spray adhesive on these intricate, open dies works best.
You can find this product in most of your larger crafting stores.

My background panel was created using an older Sizzix Swirl Embossing Folder but you could use several of the newer Sizzix embossing folders now available at Dies R Us.  After embossing my background panel I 'edged' it using a Gold Pilot Marker, giving the illusion of a mat without the bulk and red Stickle ornaments gave my fancy flourish tree a more festive look.

If you haven't popped over to the Dies R Us Store yet, you really owe it to yourself to do so!  They are adding more and more companies to the list of already fabulous companies providing you a wide selection of dies as well as embossing folders and stamps now available!

And just a reminder of the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  Offering a new challenge on the 1st and 15th of each month with a Dies R Us gift voucher going out to one lucky winner each challenge.  The design teams do an AMAZING job of creating to inspire you and we'd love to have you come join in the fun!!

That's it for me today and I look forward to sharing another fun creation with you next Tuesday!  But in the meantime please feel free to stop back ANY DAY OF THE WEEK for NEW inspiration from my team mates!  Until then ...

And this is how it looks when I took the pict using different point of view.
You could see it too from here.

Loads of Fun!

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week my husband celebrated another birthday and this is the card I made for him. The image made me giggle a bit cos both of our kids constantly hang off him like this all of the time!

This cute image, sentiment & digital paper are from Doodle Pantry and was really useful to put this card together quickly. After colouring the image with Copics and layering the squares onto solid mats I used the Memory Box Antique Gears to add some dimension to the card.

I layered the Poppystamps Simple Banner in red over some glitter cardstock to add some sparkle to the card, and some more sparkle with the Die Versions Sweet Petite Socket.
