Happy 2019!

Hello and welcome back crafting friends. Lena here wishing you and your loved ones a magnificent 2019.
With it being New Year's Eve, I would like to share this card I made for this special occasion.

It was very easy to put together but not so easy to photograph :-)
Lots of shine and I really do hope there is no such thing as "Too many pearls" or I'm in trouble :-)

Like I said the gold shiny card stock was really hard to photograph so please excuse the glare.
There really isn't much to share as far as a tutorial goes, dear friends, because it was very easy to put together.  I cut out the Baubles Frame and the Holly Wreath, both from the Amy Design's Christmas Wishes collection, out of  vintage gold card stock and adhered them to the hunter green card stock. The ivory card base measures 5.5" x 5.5".  I've never had any problems with having to use extra postage for this size card.
Next, I fussy cut the image and layered it using adhesive foam dots. When I placed it on the centre of the Holly Wreath circle, I noticed that it blended in too much with the gold and the green, so I  die cut the second to smallest circle of the Pinpoint Scalloped Circles by Memory Box and adhered it behind the image. Once this was all done, I made a little mat for my greeting and went a little crazy on the pearls :-)

Here is another view that shows you the beautiful and detailed cuts of these dies, the shine of the card stock and the layering of the image.  To finish off the card and tie it in altogether, I  die cut another Baubles Frame out of the green card stock and adhered it to the inside, to frame the message.

That was it! Easy peasy and it only took me about 15 minutes to put this card together but I think it came out very pretty :-)

Now for a quick recap of the materials I used:

Holly Wreath - Amy Design

Pinpoint Scalloped Circles - Memory Box

Happy New Year!!

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a New Year card.
I think everyone would love a card to ring in the new year.

This card is a die cut inlay design.
It's pretty easy to make and you can cut all your paper ahead to create lots of the same card just in case you have lots of friends and family you would like to send these out to!

Let's get started!!

First, I die cut the Flute glasses, champagne bottle in the ice bucket from white cardstock, holographic foil paper. I also die cut the champagne bottle in the ice bucket from red glitter cardstock.  Making sure to save all the pieces.

I trimmed white and black cardstock to A2 panels.
I then trimmed the white panel down by a 1/8" so to create a border around the card front panel.

Next, I adhered the flute glasses and the champagne bottle in the ice bucket to a black cardstock card front using the white cardstock I die cut the items from for placement.  I then used the red glitter die cut to place the labels on the bottle and the bow on the bucket.

Then, I added foam adhesive to the white cardstock and place it onto the card front panel.

Next, I die cut the words Happy New Year 2 times from plain black cardstock and once from Black glitter cardstock. Using some adhesive between - I stacked the words. Adhered them to the card front panel on the top left.

Next, using some dimensional silver stars I added some in two clusters for a finishing touch.
Then, adhered the front panel onto a card base.

Now, the card is finished!

Merry Christmas!

Hello and welcome back!
All of us here at Dies R Us hope you had a merry Christmas.

Lisa back with you today to share an easy but beautiful Christmas card with you.

Here is a close up:

I cut the Wintertide Frame from blue foil paper. I adhered it on patterned paper using the Best Glue Ever. I cut my sentiment, Merry Christmas,  3 times from white cardstock and used the Best Glue Ever to adhere that as well.

These are the products I used:

Happy New Year card with Memory Box

Hi Everyone & Happy Holidays! I hope you're surviving the craziness which is this season. Now that Christmas is over I'm quickly doing up some New Years cards to send out next week.
I knew that I either wanted to do a shaker card with this die, or an ink blended background. Since I was making multiples of this one I went with ink blending.  Here's how it came together:

I started by tracing my die outline on Bristol Smooth cardstock so I didn't waste ink blending where I didn't need it.

Next, I created a galaxy type background using 3 different colors of distress ink

To create even more dimension, I spritzed the sheets with water and sopped up the droplets with a paper towel, followed by flicking on some gold watercolor paint.

To start the final assembly, I cut the die out of multiple pieces of card stock. Each card got two stacked on top of one another, with the top one being embossed with an embossing folder.

My sentiment was printed with my laserjet printer and then heat foiled. After adhering everything together, I mounted the finished card panel onto an a2 sized note card.
And there you have it!

Winter bear

I do hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas!  Kristina H here with some wintery cuteness to share with you today.

Gosh, this was just so fun to make!  I used the Creative Expressions Stitched Collection - Christmas Characters die set.  Let me tell you, there are a lot of dies in this set!

The good news is that they include a handy dandy guide for all the pieces!  That way you know what you need for each character and where to find them!

I located all of the different pieces I needed for the bear and frame.  I then picked out all of the papers I wanted to use and got to cutting! Fast forward a little bit (LOL) and I've got a tiny pile of paper bits.  I went to the handy guide and started piecing everything together.

For the purple scarf I did add a little detail with a Copic marker that matched.  For the bear's cheeks I added a touch of pink marker and the ears a little bit of gray.  I cut a piece of heavy, white cardstock to an A2 top fold card base.  I glued on the blue patterned paper.  Then came the white frame.  I did add foam tape to pop it up.  Then I slipped in the hanger at the top and went over it with Wink of Stella.  I added a glitter enamel dot on top of it.  Then I carefully tucked the bear into place.

For a little bit extra detail, I went all around the outside of the bear with a T3 gray, Copic marker.  This helps to give it a shadow so it looks like there is another layer.  That's it.  This die set looks a bit overwhelming but I promise it was super easy!
