Embossed Heart Butterflies

Hi there, Shona back to share with you a monochromatic card, using the Memory Box Large Circle Burst die and the Poppystamps Embossed Heart Butterfly.

Here are the two dies I used today:

I had a piece of purple card stock laying on my desk that I had die cut with the Circle Burst last week. I was thinking monochromatic for my card today and I was thinking pink, so instead of using it as a die cut, I used the piece as a stencil. Using a finger dauber, I applied Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick through the stencil.

I then die cut the Embossed Heart Butterfly and after cutting, I ran it through the machine again with an embossing pad to emboss the hearts. Leaving the die in place, I daubed the Worn Lipstick to the little raised hearts. I repeated this three times.

Fuchsia metal antennae were attached to the back of the butterflies with tape. The sentiment from Sparkle N Sprinkle set Pansies was stamped with Versafine Claire Morning Mist. I used my stamp positioner for this, to be able to stamp a couple of times to get a clear impression.

The sentiment was then heat embossed with  Sparkle embossing powder.

The three butterflies were attached with foam tape for dimension.

Below are the products that I used on my card today:

SNS Pansies Set 826
Sparkle (EP107)
Fuschia metal thread
Mounting Foam

I hope you've enjoyed your visit today!

Dreams Soar Slim Line Card

Hello Crafty Friends - I am here with a watercolor slimline card featuring

I fell in love with is Octolady. She is just so interesting.
I wanted an underwater scene without a lot of extra items distracting for the Octolady.

I stamped the image onto some Strathmoore Bristol Smooth cardstock with
Ranger Embossing Powder: Super Fine Clear. I heat set the image.

Next, I used my Arteza Real Brush Watercolor Markers to apply a base coat to the
AALL + Create Stamp: Octolady.  Then, I used my Artist Loft: Metallic Watercolor paints and applied a topcoat. Next, I filled in the background of the panel with blue watercolor paint. I did a few splatters with the metallic paint and Imagine Crafts: Sheer Shimmer Spritz: Frost.

Then, I trimmed the panel down and matted it with a piece of medium blue cardstock followed by another mat of cardstock in purple. I adhered the panels to the slimline card base. I stamped the sentiment onto some of the purple cardstock and adhered it to the top right-hand corner. For a finishing touch, I adhered some sequins in opalescent under the sentiment and the bottom left-hand corner.

Cowboy Up

Vicki here again this week! I live in the country and have sunrises and sunsets just like this. It's God's Country!

This was such a simple card to make and so fast! I created a background with die inks and a torn sheet of paper helped create the hills and field. I stamped a horse and foal grazing in the field and used black card stock to cut out the die. It's a gorgeous card and will make great Father's Day cards.

A Little Birdie Told Me Thank You...

Hello, friends!  It's Julie with you today from Muddy Paws and Inky Fingers.  I never seem to have enough thank you cards on hand, so I made another one for today, using a die set from Spellbinders.

Here's all the supplies I used:

Here's a picture of everything die cut, and the bird inked with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink, and the sentiment inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink:

There are many birds in the Dies R Us Store that would workout this one by Memory Box would work particularly well.  This "Thank You" sentiment from Dee's Distinctive Designs is very similar to the one I used, but of course, a whole different sentiment would work just as well.  The stitched rectangle die is from Lawn Fawn.  The bird and letters were glued in place with The Best Glue Ever.

I want to invite you to join the Dies R Us Challenges.  They run every 2 weeks and have easy themes to follow. I also want you to check out  our new sister store, Didi's Crafts, specializing in European crafts, and shipping to Canada!

Here's one last view of my card:

I hope you check out this blog everyday for inspiration!

Batman Birthday!

Hello crafting friends.   Lena here today sharing a fun Batman Birthday card I made for my son-in-law.

I used the Flap and Closure die by Karen Burniston to make the card closure.
The word "Celebrate" is also one of Karen's dies. The batarang is from Google 😊

When  you open the card ... Batman pops up.
I used the Surprise Ball pop up die, also by Karen Burniston.
To make the ball pop-up I used thick black cardstock and a #12 soft stretch rubber band.

By using a brad before you adhere the "ball" to the card, you can make the "ball" spin :-)

I cut the bits and pieces to make Batman's mask by googling various images,
picking one and then adapting it to the ball pop-up.

The ball flattens when the card is closed.  Since it doesn't add a lot of bulk, it's easy to put in the mail.

Please click on the links for the video tutorial by Karen Burniston.  She shows you how to put both die sets together on this one video tutorial.

And here is the list of products I used, each linked to the Dies R Us store for your convenience.

Fairy Dreams

Hi there,

Shona back with you today to share a sparkly little card featuring one of the fairies from the Tutti Mini Fairies die set along with the Memory Box Large Circle Burst.

I began by cutting the die with the MB Large Circle Burst. The sentiment from an old Sparkle N Sprinkle set Dream Catcher Maiden was then stamped in Versafine Clair Monarch using the stamp positioner. This was then heat embossed with Sparkle embossing powder.

I then applied Versamark to the entire white front and heat set with Sparkle embossing powder, this gave the card front a sparkly, fairy dust look! (It's hard to catch with the phone - I'm still not back on my desk computer and so can't use my digital camera).

I found an old home made background, which I had made using Perfect Pearls, Pearlescent Pearl and Violet Color Burst and thought that made a magical kind of background, so foam mounted the white circle panel on top. This was then taped down to a white card base.

I die cut the little fairy from black cardstock, applied Versamark and heat set with Sparkle embossing powder, to add some shimmer to her too.

She was then foam mounted to the front of the card.

Hope you've enjoyed seeing my share today. Below are the products I used in my card today:

Dream Catcher Maiden Set 865
Piece of Homemade Cardstock
Versamark
Sparkle EP107

Little Kindness Card

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a cute and easy card featuring Poppy Stamps and Dies.

Let's get started!

I gathered all the materials for the card.

I die cut all the components and trimmed my cardstock and pattern paper. I die cut the trees twice.
I stamped my sentiment onto white cardstock. I matted the light blue cardstock onto the yellow pattern paper.

Then, I adhered the green hill to the panel. Next, I adhered the light green trees onto the dark green trees. I wanted a lighter feel to the tree.

Next, I put the little sheep together. I used foam adhesive on the back of the sheep's body. I inlayed the head of the sheep. Then, I attached the legs with a bit of liquid and foam adhesive.
Next, I adhered the hair and ears.

Then, I used the Gelly Roll Pen in glitter to make small u shapes and dots on the sheep's body.
I used a white Gelly Roll pen for the eyes.

I removed the backing from the adhesive and pressed the sheep into place.
I adhered the card front panel to the card base.

Next, I adhered the flowers and the sentiment to the card panel.
Then, I added a drop in each flower center of Nuvo Crystal Drops in pale gold.

Now, the card is complete!

Materials Used:
Poppystamps -Dies - Simple Sheep

Poppystamps - Dies - Sloping Hillside

VersaFine Clair Ink Pad - Nocturne
