Change it Up!

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my design of the week for Dies R Us!  Here are two designs using the same dies and stamp! Do you ever make a card and then wonder what to do with the dies you purchased? Well, just change the colors and paper!

I started with the Memory Box Tupelo Circle but you could use Memory Box Catalina Wreath using two different papers. The butterflies, cut from complimentary paper, are  Oriel Butterfly and Lunette Butterfly,  from Memory Box.

The card was finished a "thank you" sentiment from Memory Box; pearls and nail heads embellish the wreaths.

Stop by Dies R Us, we're always adding new companies and dies! Don't be left out of Special purchase discounts or new arrivals…sign up for our newsletter today!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

What a difference a flower makes!

Hello, friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful week & have already been inspired by our design team posts from earlier in the week!  I'm here to add my little bit of inspiration using 2 dies from the fabulous new Sue Wilson line.  I can truthfully say I am madly in love with every one of them.  It isn't many times you love every single die in a line!  If you haven't checked them out, you should!  Here is the card I made for today's post.  I wanted something really pretty to send when you just feel like surprising someone with a little treat in the mailbox & this should do the trick nicely!

This was such a simple card to make, despite how complicated it looks!  The dies do all the work! I began with the Sue Wilson Cordoba die & layered on the Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves, topped with the beautiful Magnolia Doily Flowers.   It's hard to see the detail on these dies in this shot, so here is a closeup of the beautiful embossing they give you.

And finally, I may be the only person who does this, but somehow I'm guessing you ALL do it too.....whenever I get a new die in the mail, I immediately cut it out to see how it looks & do a "trial" run on a plain card, which is what I did below when these came.

It looks like a totally different card, doesn't it!  Adding the flower just changed the entire card which is what I love about dies!  By layering different dies you can create totally different versions of the same card!

I hope I have inspired you to take a look at all the new dies in the store!  And we are also adding stamps from time to time as well, so keep an eye out for those too!  As always, we have the cheapest shipping around & any domestic orders over $35 are free shipping!!  The same for international orders over $50!

Check out both blogs & I will see you back here next week!

Happy crafting!!!!

All-In-One . . .

Happy Tuesday Friends!
Darlene here!  And, it's my turn to create something to hopefully inspire you in using your die cuts.
Here's what I've come up with.

How pretty is this??!!!
And created using only ONE DIE SET!!

I recently ordered the Sue Wilson Designs 'Spanish Collection-Seville' die set from our Dies R Us store and immediately thought that the largest die in the set would make a beautifully shaped base card.  Then I just kept building from there.  Now mind you, this would be EVEN BETTER had I taken the time to switch over to my embossing mat and really pulled out all the beautiful detail in this die set ... but I was just playing around and actually was thinking this was just going to be a prototype for cards to come so I didn't take the time (MY BAD!).  Should have known it was going to come together beautifully and taken that extra few minutes!!

The ONLY thing additional I added to this card besides the die cuts, is the white panel behind the sentiment panel, my stamped sentiment and the pearls.  That's IT!  Everything else was cut with this ONE beautiful die set.  There are several other gorgeous die sets available in this Sue Wilson Designs collection ...

Unfortunately the one I'm showcasing today is currently OUT OF STOCK!  But not to fear ... by simply clicking on the 'Put Me On The Waiting List' option, you will be notified as soon as it comes back in stock and available for you to purchase.  I know you're probably saying ... "Oh sure, I'll do that and never hear back" ... well I'm here to tell you you're wrong ... because I've had to do this myself and before long I receive an email telling me the die I've been wanting is back in stock.

I hope you'll come check out all the fabulous dies available at the Dies R Us store and also come join in our Dies R Us Challenges.  New challenges go live on the 1st and 15th of each month (with a prize for the winner!).

Well that's it for me today!  Now I have all these ideas swimming around in my head on how I can use this die set ... best get back to work and get them OUT of my head and down on paper!  LOL!

CAS Card - Remember This Story

Hi everybody! Mikha is here!
Happy Monday, and happy holiday!! :)
Yes, it's national holiday in Indonesia, and for some of you aI guess it's summer holiday! :)

We're still bringing you new inspiration here, at Dies R Us Inspirational Blog :)

Sooo... Today I'm gonna share you a card I made with Freebie from All Dress Up. You could get this by being a member of Kit and Clowder!
And there was coloring competition using this image.

I used:

Do you know when you cut the biggest Spellbinders - Nestabilities - Opulent Ovals, it would leave you a beautiful frame that I used to frame Lily? :) it also has some texture you'd adore!

Here's what I did with Lily, I coloured her using copic.

This is the picture before adding frantage.

I hope you enjoy the post! :)
And don't forget to visit our store! We have new stamp to be adopted, you know :) :)

Have a wonderful day :) :)

Do What Makes You Happy

Greetings Dies R Us friends.

This week I challenged myself with my first monochromatic card
(with a little pop of blue because of that perfect button!)

I've used the gorgeous Sassy Studio Designs Latte Momma image and coloured her with Copics and framed her as well as on the sentiment with Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, and added some Liquid Pearls too.

Here is a neat tip for you: I wanted to add a bit of bling but did not have the right paper, but I did have the right washi tape (coffee colour & oh so glittery!) so I layered a few strips of the washi tape next to each other on some cardstock then used both the Spellbinders Classic Petal Edgeabilities and the Memory Box Macarena Corner dies.

If you haven't already popped over to the shop swing by to get all of these dies (& oh so much more!). And if you are like me you will love the free shipping on all orders over $50 for international shipments and just $35 for all domestic ones too.

Until next week, happy crafting!

Hello!

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration design of the week for Dies R Us; your online super store!

This card was inspired by the word bubble paper I found last week and a design just popped into my head, LOL. I used Lawn Fawn Speech Bubble Border Die to cut my paper and the black contrast. The cute script word, Hello, is also from Lawn Fawn; it's their Scripty Hello Die.  I layered the bubble onto kraft paper that I had stamped with a Hero Arts background stamp.  The sentiment is also from Lawn Fawn.

Just a super easy card that can be altered in so many ways!  With just a change of paper and/or word die you can create a card in no time at all!

Just remember if Dies R Us is out of stock on a die you would like, put your email on the notification list; as soon as they are back in stock you will be notified.  As always, FREE Shipping when you spend $35 or more!  That's a deal!!

While you are here, click the Dies R Us Challenge Blog button and check out all our entries for the "Day at the Beach" challenge.

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Happy Retirement!

Welcome back friends!

I hope your week has been fantastic & you have already stopped by to check out the other awesome posts! Our gals are doing such an amazing job of providing all of us with inspiration, aren't they?

My post this week will be a retirement card.  My daughter needed one for a gal and she said most of the cards she found were the humorous variety & not suitable for a business to send.  I decided to see what I could come up with & this is the result.

I began with the beautiful Memory Box Delicate Butterfly Arch.  To fill in the sides, I added 2 of the gorgeous Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco H dies.  My sentiment was computer generated and cut with the smallest die from the Spellbinders Reflective Moment set. And finally, I added one of the beautiful Cheery Lynn Exotic Small Butterflies.

The sentiment on this card could easily be changed to Happy Birthday, Get Well or just about anything else which makes it even more versatile.

I hope this has given you some ideas!  If you stop by the Dies R Us store, you will get even more!  We now carry over 30 different brands of dies and are adding more all the time. Check us out! We also have incredible shipping rates!!

Don't forget to join the fun on our challenge blogs too!

See you next Wednesday!  Have a terrific week!

You Must Have Hope...

Happy Tuesday Dies R Us Fans!
Darlene here with you once again, in hopes of sparking your mojo to create using die cuts.  By all means, be sure to pop over to our store to see all the new and amazing dies available!  And, not only are the prices fabulous ... but the shipping is so reasonable too!!!

I have a friend who could really use a bit of uplifting right now, so this card was created with her in mind.  I had fun creating it and I hope it helps her over this rough patch!

Dies R Us product used:
Memory Box Stencil - Bubbles (MBD-88574)
Cheery Lynn Designs - Add A Flourish (B456)

I began with a simple piece of 'water' patterned paper and using white craft ink/sponge dauber, along with the Memory Box 'bubbles' stencil to create a little added dimension to this water paper.  You could also use several other stencils available in our store to add this fun dimension.

The uplifting verse I chose for today's card is from the Our Daily Bread 'Anchor' stamp set.  And, I thought the Spellbinder in'spire 'Anchors Away' die was the perfect touch!

I hope you've been stopping by frequently to see what my fabulously talented team mates have been creating to inspire you!  Remember ... something NEW each & every day of the week (excluding weekends).

Are you playing along in our Dies R Us Challenges?
New challenge posted on the 1st and 15th of each month with a chance to win a Dies R Us gift voucher for the store ... and/or be chosen by the DT as their 3 Top Picks!  Please come join us!

I'll be back next Tuesday with another die cut creation!
Until then . . .

Purple Magnolia Tag

Hi guys! :)
It's Mikha again, with Monday post for Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.
You must be come back here after seeing Alicia's stunning inspiration last Friday, eh? :)
I made a simple tag with Magnolia image. I just go crazy with Magnolia lately. LOL.

And I used:
Cheery Lynn - Pretty Bows (the small one)

Today is really simple. I just cut the image, and put it on Docrafts - Scalloped Circles, coloured it with copics, then added flowers and sentiment.
And as the finish move, put Cheery Lynn - Pretty Bows and cherry charm.

Not to forget to add doily and lace :))

Thanks for visiting us today! :)

Enjoy Life's Moments

Greetings Dies R Us friends.

This weekend we are celebrating my grandmother's 90th birthday and this is the card I've created with much love for her.

Dies used include:
Die-Versions Crochet Lace
Docrafts Xcut Rectangle Parenthesis #2
Memory Box Cherry Blossom
Magnolia Doohickey Swirl
Magnolia Doohickey Doily Flower

I've created this card as a center step fold card to showcase the stunning image 'Braid in my Hair' from A Day For Daisies which has been cut with Docrafts Xcut Rectangle Parenthesis #2. I've framed the center step with the Die-Versions Crochet Lace.

Here is a closer look at the image. I've coloured with Copics and highlighted with both real and Liquid Pearls.

I've clustered the Memory Box Cherry Blossom and Magnolia Doohickey Doily Flower on top of the Magnolia Doohickey Swirl and added an antique brad with some seam binding ribbon.

If you haven't already popped over to join in the fun of our Challenge Blog, the current theme is 'A Day at the Beach'! There are plenty of awesome DT creations from the talented Team A, and it is open until July 28.

Until then, happy crafting.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my Dies R Us inspiration of the week! I have been trying to create a stash of cards for all occasions, so I can calmly go to the stash, pick out a card and send it on it's way. As you know life is not that simple, so here is an anniversary card I designed for my Aunt and Uncle, not quite at the last minute but darn close!
This simple card uses a background stamp from Penny Black and the music stamp is from Kaiser Craft. The Happy Anniversary sentiment is stamped on a Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklet 1. The blue sprigs are cut using Nature's Song by Penny Black. I used Glossy Accents on each of the sprig ends to add texture.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget, for all your die needs go to Dies R Us!  Huge selection and shipping is FREE when you purchase $35 or more!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Yum!

Hello again, friends!

It's Wednesday already, and you know what that means! Time for another dose of inspiration from me!  This week I decided to go with an adorable digi image from Saturated Canary as my base for a birthday card.

This was a fun card to put together.  I framed this cutie with Spellbinders A2 Polka Dots and added a border with Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two.  Memory Box supplied the Happy Birthday Garland.

I hope this has you thinking of ways you can use these dies for some cards of your own!  If you still need ideas, be sure to check out the other gal's inspirations for the rest of the week too!  We have some really awesome designers!

Don't forget to stop at the Dies R Us store too!  We are adding new dies daily & carry most of the major brands all under one roof!  Free shipping on domestic orders over $35 and on anything over $50 for international orders!  Life doesn't get much better than that!

Catch you next Wednesday with another inspiration!  Happy crafting and cutting until then!

Happy Birthday to me ...

I know ... call me crazy!
TODAY'S MY BIRTHDAY and I'm a HAPPY LADY!!

Good Morning Dies R Us Fans!
Yes, today's my (ssshhh 64th ... I know! How'd I get that old??) birthday and since it's also my turn to share an inspirational card, I decided to make a birthday card for myself!  LOL!!  And, since it is for 'yours truly', I also made it in my favorite color ... purple!

Today I've actually used two dies I've had in my collection that I've never used before!  And thought I'd share a little tutorial on how I did the center flower.  So easy and would work with any of your 'outline' dies.  Here we go . . .

(BTW ... there is a background die that goes along with this Peony outline die [Memory Box Lovely Peony Background] ... I just totally forgot to order it so had to come up with my own rough version, LOL!)

Step 1:  Die cut your outline die using black cardstock.  Using a strong adhesive spray such as E6000 spray, adhere it to a piece of white cardstock, glossy paper or vellum.
HINT:  Hold your die with a pair of tweezers inside an old box to apply the spray.

Step 2:  Color with the color medium of your choosing.  I love my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  The outline die will keep the colors from running into each other and really makes them POP!

Step 3:  Once fully colored, you can either cut your image into a square and mat it with a coordinating color OR you can do as I did and fussy cut it with scissors or swivel craft knife, then pop it up on your card front.

JUST AS SIMPLE AS THAT!  And, I love how it looks!  I've used a dimensional to pop it up in the center of my card which also left me room for my birthday sentiment and gem.

Here are the dies from our Dies R Us Store that I used today:

Cheery Lynn Designs - Cathedral Lace Frame (DL148)
Cheery Lynn Designs - Happy (B226)
Cheery Lynn Designs - Birthday (B231)

Why not give this a try?
It was on a whim that I did and I'm sure glad I did!
Now I'm going through my dies to see what other dies I might have that would work with this technique.  OR maybe I'll just have to do a little 'shopping'!  There are SO MANY fabulous dies available at the store, I'm sure I'll find something I just can't live without!
Bet you will too ... pop on over!

Do you get our newsletter?  NO?  Well then you missed this announcement ...

Christmas Angel Kisses

Seasons Greetings Dies R Us friends!

What a great week of Christmas inspiration from all of the talented Dies R Us Design Team! And to round the week off, here is my little Christmas Angel.

Dies used include:

I've coloured CC Designs Sugarplums Christmas Angel Emma with my Copics with the 'no lines' technique. This is my first effort at that technique and I just love how she turned out! I then fussy cut her and 'sat' her on the gorgeous Cheery Lyn Southern Charm Valance die.

I needed her to stand out a bit so I added the Cheery Lyn Waltzing Matilda Lace Doily behind her to give a bit of contrast. Finally I've added the Die-Mensions Curly XOXO sentiment and some glitter and gems for some sparkles!

There are a couple of days left to get your entries into the Dies R Us Challenge blog. The Christmas in July theme ends on July 13th, so be quick to join in the fun (and make sure you have a die cut on your card!)

Seasons Greetings and Happy Crafting.

Christmas Collage

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration design for Dies R Us!  Back in the first of June Mikha, one of our design team members, thought it would be fun to have a week of Christmas in July! Why not? I'm sure most of us could use a little push to start thinking about our holiday cards.

This card uses Taylored Expressions Color Block Cutting Plate.  This die set comes with ELEVEN dies, wow!!! There is an overall grid die, which is the white outline in my card, and the rest of the dies all fit in the grid.  You can mix and match to your hearts content.

Don't forget, if you see a die you like and it's not in stock, just put your name on the waiting list; you will be emailed as soon as it's available!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Christmas In July

Happy Hump Day!

Wednesdays roll around really fast don't they!  I hope you have already checked out the beautiful inspirations from Monday & Tuesday already.  And be sure to come back for the rest of the week's great offerings too!

Today I have a Christmas card to share.  The first part of the month challenge at Dies R Us this month is Christmas in July, so we thought we would all join in.  Here is the card I'm sharing with you today.

The dies I used for this one were Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco B, Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor, Poppy Stamps Small Blooming Poinsettia, Impression Obsession Twig Wreath & Memory Box Tiny Bow.

I cut out 2 of the Impression Obsession wreaths & layered them for a fuller look.  After cutting the poinsettias I layered those as well & added pearls for the centers.  Add a plush bow and your wreath is done!  The sentiment was cut with the smallest of the A2 Valiant Honor dies.  And of course, the final touch was the addition of the Lace Corner Deco B corners.

I love cream or white cards as they always look so "special" and I just had to try that for my Christmas card!

Be sure you stop at the store to check out all the wonderful new companies we have added!! And don't forget to join in this current challenge with a Christmas card of your own!

See you next week!  Happy Crafting!

Happy Holidays - DRU Style!

Hello Dies R Us Fans!
Well, it's Tuesday and it's me, Darlene, here to hopefully inspire you!  Did you see Mikha's awesome holiday creation yesterday?  WOW!  A shout out to Mikha for coming up with the idea to have the team do a week of Christmas in July creations to help us all get started on our holiday cards and, it ties in with our current challenge at our Dies R Us Challenge Blog, which is 'Christmas In July' .  It runs through Sunday, July 13th.

Hard to believe Christmas is Less Than 6 Months away!  Yikes!  So, all week the team will be sharing Christmas flavored creations with you in hopes that we can help get you inspired to get those holiday cards started!  LOL!   Thanks Mikha!!

Here's what I've created for you today!

Dies used are:
Memory Box - Frostyville Border #98146

The design paper I've used is Graphic45 'Twelve Days of Christmas'.  Though difficult to see in the photo, I've used waterfall Stickles on the snowflakes and border to add sparkle ... so pretty IRL.  I've also cut the Cardinals and Holly die twice and did a little fussy cutting to achieve the red cardinals on the branch.

A few points of interest ...
  • Have you seen the new Memory Box & Poppy Stamp releases at the store?
  • Did you know by playing our challenge you have a chance to win a gift voucher from our store?
  • Did you know that if you find a die you'd like but it's 'out of stock' you can just click on the 'Put me on the Waiting List' and you will be email notified when it is restocked?
  • Did you know from time to time the store has Minimum Time Offered Pre-Orders on dies from companies that they don't routinely stock?  Be sure to sign up for our Newsletter so you don't miss out on these sales!!
That's it for me today and I hope you find inspiration in my holiday creation.  I must admit, it was a little difficult to think of 'snow' & 'Christmas' when it's 90 degrees outside, lol!  But at least I've gotten my long list of holiday creations started!

I hope you'll pop back tomorrow to see the amazing creation Sherri has to share with you!  And, be sure to tell your friends about Dies R Us!  Maybe they need a little inspiration too!

I will see you again next Tuesday.  Please come back tomorrow to see what Sherri has created.  OMG it is GORGEOUS (I peeked, lol)  ... till then, Happy Cutting!
