Poppies Die Card by Melinda

Happy Saturday Dies R’ Us friends,
Melinda here with you today and it is my turn to share, so….. I created this pretty card.

My card is a standard A2 size card. I started with a white cardstock, top folding base. From there I added some layers of red cardstock. All of the pretty patterned papers are from the Simple Stories Snap Color Vibe paper pad.

The little star of the show is the pretty poppy flower die from Memory Box. I cut it out from some plain white cardstock. I then used my Copic Markers to color it in. The base layers are cut from the scallop stitched rectangle die set from Tutti Designs. For the top mat, I lightly inked some white cardstock with some blue and green cat’s eye ink pads.

I finished off the layer with a cute bow of some extra thick twine in a similar color to the leaves.

Here is one last look at my finished card. I purposely left it with no sentiment as I wanted it to be available for the right occasion and the right moment.

Dies R Us - You're Fintastic with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies

Hello and welcome!  It's Angie here today with a fun fishy card using products from Lawn Fawn available in the Dies R Us store!

I used the brand new dies from Lawn Fawn, Stitched Wave Borders.  I love how you get 3 dies in this pack so you can really have a variety of wave patterns, especially if you use them to make a card that is 4.25" across.  This is because you can move the dies around and use different parts on the panels to add variety.  I used lots of different blue card stocks and cut them all then arranged them from dark to light on a card base.  Next I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Fintastic Friends set in black ink at the top.

Then I took some white card stock and using the same Lawn Fawn Fintastic Friends stamp set, I stamped lots of images then used the Lawn Fawn Fintastic Friends die set to cut them all out.  I colored them in kind of crazy colors with my Zig Clean Color markers, then added them to the card front.  Lastly I added some stamped bubbles directly on the card and then put Nuvo Jewel Drops in Sea Breeze on each of the bubbles.  (One tip, the drops will run together if they touch, so I did only one of each of the doubled up bubbles and let them dry before I added the second bubble.)

Here's a couple more pictures up closer so you can see the detail:

I really love the look of those dies, they really look like water waves!

And one final picture:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Step-by-Step Tutorial
Start by Die-Cutting the Poinsettia Flowers and Petals and stack as shown.  Bend each petal over a Stylus tool to shape the flowers and add depth.

Die-Cut your die striped and kraft panels as shown, then adhere and layer starting with the Mirrored gold frame.

Then Die-Cut 3 panels from the Stitched Lattice Frames and adhere for creating the card base.

Your Card Base and Lattice Frames are now ready.

Next, Die-cut the sentiment multiple times and adhere as shown. Also measure and cut a rectangular red glittered panel to place behind your lattice frame panel.

Add the red glittered cardstock piece under Stitched Lattice Frame panel (which is backed with foam adhesive tape for dimension).

The Lattice Panel layers will be stacked and adhered as shown. (multiple layers give your project depth)

Finally, adhere the  die-cutsentiment and poinsettia flowers.  Options are the added golded ribbon and ultra-fine glitter sprinkled over the flowers for extra sparkle.  I've topped off each flower with a golden button.  Here is the finished product photographed from a different angle.
That's it! Happy Crafting!

Butternut Squash Soup Recipe Page

Colleen from Scrappin Granny here today sharing a recipe page with you.  I am making recipe books for each of my grandchildren and my hopes is to give it to them at a Bridal Shower so I still have lots of time to get them done.

I started with the background paper and went into my scraps to find some papers to add behind.

I used two different dies for this page.

I used the Cutter Bees Dies set-Mason Jars by EK Success to cut our the jars.  I love this set because it is so very versatile and can be used in many different ways.

Secret Garden Flower 4 by Dee's Distinctively was used for the flowers.

Everything was adhered down using the Best Glue Ever.

The beads along the top and down the sides were ones that I melted down.

Vellum Beach Bags

Donna Phelan back again.

Today I have decorated 2 Vellum Envelopes turning them into Treat Bags.

I created my shells first.  I die cut the large Scallop shell using the Die Versions Whispers Scallop Shell and the smaller ones using the Cheery Lynn Sand Dollar Starfish
I sponged Oxide Inks in various colors on to the white card stock designs.  I then splattered water on to the ink to lift some of the color up, while the card stock was still wet I also sprinkled some White Embossing Powder here and there, heated to seal it in.  You get  a weathered,  aged look, or possibly the look of barnacles.  It makes for an interesting look.

I stamped the shell border in Raven Black ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I then added some Heat And Stick Powder, heated that and doused it all over with a Dazzling Diamond Glitter, then reheated it all to seal it in.  It sparkles!!!

Wrapped each bag with twine 3 times and threaded a few pearl beads on to it.
Layered my shells together and adhered them to the folded lip of the bag.  Adding an Adhesive Pearl to the Sand Dollar for accent.

'Randomly' glued Orange and Yellow Sequins all over.

Check out those barnacles lol

Here's what I used:

Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Fired Brick

Die-Versions - Whispers - Scallop Shell

Cheery Lynn Designs - Sand Dollar & Starfish

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~
