Thinking of You

Colleen here with a card that we should all have in our card stash.  This was so much fun to make and it just made me smile the whole time I was making it.

This is the Whispers Die by Die Versions and makes it so easy to make.  There are actually four different owls you can make with this one die and when you use your imagination there could be even more.

I also used the Words Set 1 by Karen Burniston die for the greeting on the card.  This die comes with 6 different dies.

Scrolly Heart Valentine

Donna Phelan back again, sharing an easy Valentine with you!
I used the inlaid die technique and you can really see the detail
in this gorgeous Tutti Designs Scrolly Heart die....it POPS!

I cut the beautiful and detailed Tutti Designs Scrolly Heart from White card stock.  Then I placed it back in to the panel for that inlaid look.  I also backed it with a pretty Pink card stock, in this way all of the details are easily seen....soooooooo pretty!

I then cut out the Penny Black Heart String die in a deep Pink
and draped it over the top focal panel.
Sentiment stamped in Melon Mambo ink.  Adhesive Pearls and sheer Ribbon for accents.
Valentine Designer Paper from my stash.
Oooh La La Love Is In The Air.
Here's what I used:

Hello Friend

Hi, it's S@ndy Diller here with you today.  I have a colorful Tag Book with a message that can be used any time of the year.  I've used the Karen Burniston Tag Book Pop-Up to create this card.

The cover is totally deceiving because it looks like any ordinary tag but just look what happens when it is opened.

Now I think you will agree, this is fun and unexpected.
I have a photo tutorial for you below but you can see a complete step by step video from Karen by

Die cut the cover of the tag book - shown in red -  you will need 2.
Cut one hinge.
Cut the support pieces - you will need 4 of each.
Cut 2 inside pieces shown in yellow above.
Join two outside tags together using the hinge.

Cut all decorator pieces for the inside of card - they are included in the die set.

I like to decorate my card while it is flat.

Join the two inside sections together using the tabs in the center.
Add to outside card base lining up the rounded sections.
Add support pieces.

Add the two rectangles using the decorator pieces in coordination colors.
Using the Just A Note word set, add words to front.

Using the Flowers & Bee die set, add decorations to the front.

Using the Greeting Word Set, add Hello Friend to inside panels.

Using the Flowers & Bee die set, decorate the inside of the card as desired.
As a finishing touch, some twine was added through the tag holes.

Don't forget to check out the video HERE.

This is a fun card to make, easy to put together with lots of impact, I hope you will try it.
See you next week.
S@ndy

Valentines Day Card by Bev

Hi .. How are you today. This DT project for Dies R Us showcases a Valentine card made using lots of die cuts and super fun layers for depth and dimension.

Supply List:
Machine/ tools: Big Shot Express, Misti
Other: ScraPerfect Best Ever Glue, Cardstock, Pion To My Valentine Paper

To start my card I cut the die  pieces I thought I'd like to use along with the many layers of background papers with matting. Also for this one I cut from the paper a border trim accent.

Starting from the bottom moving forward I glued down the pieces. The Love sentiment was placed in the frame with image from the Pion paper line. I add some gem stones for accent.

The border is behind, a fun heart cluster is added and the upper and lower corner die in accenting colour are added. What a fun but easy card to make for Valentines Day.

Happy Wishes . . .

Hello Dies R Us Friends!
Darlene with you today sharing a shaped card that is perfect for that Ballet dancer on your card list.  I must confess, I was a dancer (in my youth) ... my sister & I took ballet & tap for 13 years.  Must also confess we were both better at tap dancing then ballet!

I rarely make shaped cards but after seeing this beautiful Amy Designs die set in person, I knew exactly what I wanted to create and share with you today.  I hope you find inspiration in my creation.

Dies used are:

Amy Design - Dies - Wild Animals - African Circle

Cheery Lynn Designs - Arabesque Ballerina

Impression Obsession - Dies - Greeting Set

My card began by die cutting the large outside die 'slightly off the fold of my A6 card' to create my base card.

Next I die cut a panel using the same die but from beautiful bright pink foil paper.
The next largest die was cut from white card stock and
the ballerina was cut from a lighter pink foil paper.

Although not photographed, I die cut the body of my ballerina
from a scrap of glitter paper and did a little fussy cutting to create
my ballerina's dress.

After adhering the doily panel to the background foil panel,
I added dimensional tape to the back of my ballerina before adhering
her to the front of my card.

Lastly I added the sentiment (also die cut from the sparkle paper) and white
Nuvo crystal drops.  Viola!

I hope you've enjoyed what I've shared today!

Snow Adventure card

When I think of my friends back home in Wisconsin this cold winter, I think of the fun that they have when the snow falls.  There is sledding, tobogganing, skiing, skating and snowman building.  After the outside activity, there is hot chocolate inside to warm up.  That is what inspired me to make this card to send off to a friend that maybe enjoying these activities.  As for me, I headed to Florida for the winter.

I die cut the forstyvilleborder twice.  Put one border on the left of the card and cut pieces of the second one to add to the upper and lower corners.  Then I added glue and glitter.
This card sparkles with glitter and snow.  I also included some of the outdoor and indoor activities.

After die cutting the sled, I colored it with markers to look like a wooden sled.  I needed to add some snow to it so that it would look like it had been used in the snow hills.  Before that, I used silver embossing powder to the top to look like metal and then added the snow with Viva pearl pen, Ice White and sprinkled glitter over the top.

Then I simply die cut the cup and used the same Viva white pen to add the whipped cream on the top of the hot chocolate.  A few dashes with my white gell pen to add some interest to the cup,
Here is a look at how it glitters and shines. The sentiment is computer generated.

Here are the dies that I used for this card.
I hope that I have given you some inspiration today to make a card.

Be sure to check outall of the new supplies at the Dies R Us Store.  My last order included papers and Stickles.  They are not just Dies.  There is so much more.
