Haunted House Treat Box

Hi crafty friends!
Stacey back with you today to share a project that I created using some fabulous dies and stamps that can be found in the Dies R Us Store

Today is my last post as a design team member for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog. It has been fun and a big Thank You for allowing me to be a part of the team!

I decided to make a adorable little Halloween treat tote for my last project.
It cut out all the pieces that I thought I might use from the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Treat Box die and the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Treat Box Haunted House Add On Die.

After all the pieces were cut out, it was simply a matter of putting the box together and adding all the fun little pieces to decorate the box and turn it into a haunted house.

Here is my finished result:

This is the front of the box. I cut the ghost out of vellum to give it a more "ghostly" feel. You can see the little ghost much better in person. I tucked it in a little bit behind the door, almost like he is welcoming you inside. I added a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Costume Party Stamp Set and popped that up with foam tape onto the roof. I added a fun little bow to the top.

This a a look at the back and one of the sides. For the web and spider, I used the Lawn Fawn Cute Cobweb Die set. I added a bit of sparkle to the spider, bats and windows.

Here is a look at the other side. I think this turned out so incredibly cute!! It is waiting to be filled with some yummy treats!!

Here is a quick peek (with links) at the products that I used on my project that can be found in the Dies R Us Store.

Backyard Tree

For my inspiration card this week, I have chosen to stick with a fall card.  I decided to make it a clean and simple card that you can make in an hour of your time.  I used dies from the Dies R Us store to complete it.
To make this card, I used these dies

Impression Obsession - Dies - Picket FenceIO Picket Fence DIE 206
Memory Box - Dies - Arboscello TreeMemory Box Arboscello Tree

I cut both dies and then put some flower soft on the leaves of the tree.  Do you remember flower soft?  It comes in many colors and I chose the one that looks like fall leaves.  I created a sun in the background with a sponge dauber and some yellow and raspberry ink. With my copic marker  I sketched in some ground for the tree and also put in some fallen leaves there.  Next the fence is popped up with some foam squares.  A simple, Hello makes it useful for any type of card.  That is it!  Clean and Simple.

Hello Pumpkin!

Autumn is just around the corner!  Vickie Y sharing an autumn pumpkin card today.

The white cardbase is a standard A2 size card, layered using brown, dark yellow, and designer paper for the top layer.

I die cut the Cheery Lynn Lacey Pumpkin Corner Flourish using artichoke green cardstock then again using a scrap piece of orange cardstock for the pumpkin inlay.

After punching out the pumpkin pieces I flipped the green flourish over and inserted the pumpkin pieces into the backside so I could secure them using a piece of clear tape.

I use a liquid white glue dotted onto the back of the flourish before adhering it to the top of the card.

I die cut the Frantic Stamper fishtail banner and the Elizabeth Craft Designs hello to complete the card design.

Close up of the pumpkin inlay:

Dies used from the DRU online store:

Halloween "Slots of Tags"!

It's my last Monday up on the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog as my Design Team term comes to an end.  I've had a wonderful time working with the Dies R Us Store and a great group of fellow team members.  Many thanks for having me the past six months! Best wishes to the new team members about to embark on their terms.

With Halloween not far away, I decided to make my last project a Halloween card.  I hope you like my "Slots of Tags" using the Memory Box Straight Slider Grooves and Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Tags die cuts.

"Happy Halloween"

This 6 inch square "Slots of Tags" card even has a tag for personalized greetings!

I kept the slider grooves attached to one another and turned them to a vertical position.

The green matting shows the areas cut using the Straight Slider Groove dies.

I used one size of the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Tags for all 3 of the tags.

The staggered tags before the final embellishing!

A chipboard ghost with a little glitter, a skeleton, and a tag for personalizing complete the card!

Trick or Treat

Hi, everyone! Halloween is on the way and I am creating like crazy!  It was only in the low 50's today, dreary and rainy, so it was a perfect day to hang out and create; after the football game, of course!  I paired one of those crazy birds with a brand new die. I hope this inspires you to get started on your Halloween crafts! And I do hope you are having better weather.

What I Used to Make my Card:
White Square Card Base (5 1/2" x 5 1/2")
White, Black, Purple and Orange Card Stock
Tutti Designs Spiderweb Window, #TUTTI-376
Tim Holtz Bird Crazy Stamps, #CMS212
Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bird Crazy Dies, #660954
Tim Holtz Crazy Talk Stamps, #CMS236
Googly Eyes
Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Embossing Powder, White, #WhiteEP2
Embossing Ink
Distress Ink in Carved Pumpkin
Derwent Inktense Pencils

I began this card thinking my window would be orange, but changed my mind.  Instead, I die cut the window out of black card and inserted it into the negative space left from the orange cut.  I then used carved pumpkin to edge the design.  I then cut a piece of white card with the intention of layering it behind the window, but I set that aside. I needed to choose a character to peek out of the window first!

I have quite a stash of images I've already colored in and I chose this crazy bird out of that pile.  I did use Inktense Pencils to color him; I'm getting smarter, I wrote it on the back of the image what medium I used to color it.  After that, I added the googly eyes (mostly because this is what I look like when I see a spider!) and positioned the bird where I wanted him to be.  I glued him in place and trimmed the rest of the image.  Then I added the white card to the back of the window.

Lastly, I chose a pretty purple card out of my card stock, stamped the phrase with embossing ink and heat embossed the sentiment with fine detail white embossing powder.  I assembled the entire card and there you go! I am thrilled that I got this die. Even though it is geared toward Halloween, I can see no reason why I can't cut the webs out of it and use it all year round! Thanks for reading and please visit some of the Dies R Us blogs (enabler alert - the store is having some awesome sales!) and don't forget to enter the challenge, there is a new one on the first and the fifteenth of every month! ~ Fondly, Christi

Candy Corn Halloween Card

Hi crafty friends!
Stacey back with you today to share a project that I created using some fabulous dies and stamps that can be found in the Dies R Us Store

I'm really looking forward to Halloween so I felt the need to make a Halloween themed card. It's my favorite holiday to craft for. What's yours? I also really love all the candy involved with Halloween if I'm being honest haha! It's a definite bonus!! We typically buy candy pretty early here and then are so tired of it by the time the big day arrives that one lucky trick or treater normally ends up with whatever is left in our bowl at the end of the night.

When I saw these cute Candy Corn Add On's for the How You Bean set from Lawn Fawn, I knew they needed a special place in my house. Here is the card that I created to share with you today:

This was so super simple to put together and really quite easy which would make it pretty great if you had to mass produce them. I created my A2 card base with some black cardstock and added some fun orange polka dot paper on top. I used the Stitched Journaling Card die from Lawn Fawn and cut out a piece from white and black cardstock, cut off a strip of the black and adhered it to the white to give the illusion of a shelf/counter. I stamped out that fun little mason jar from the How You Bean? stamp set and added the candy corns from the How You Bean Candy Corn Add On to the center. I wrapped some baker's twine around my jar and added it to my card front. I used the Scalloped Treat Box Haunted House Add On to cut out a couple of bats to add to my card. I heat embossed my greeting in white onto some black cardstock, notched the end and popped it up with some foam tape. I added an enamel dot to finish it off. I love how it turned out!! Candy corn with no guilt or calories?? Win!

Here is a look at the products (with links) that I used on my card:
