You're Mermazing!

Welcome back Dies R Us friends!
Darlene with you today sharing a 'mermazing' creation!
Summer is in full swing and the beautiful blue waters of the oceans are calling!  LOL

I have used two die sets from the Dies R Us Store today.

Impression Obsession - Dies - Mermaids

Little B - Dies - Mermaids

I have also used Tim Holtz Oxide Distress Inks  to create my background water.
Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Broken ChinaDistress Oxide Ink Pad - Cracked PistachioDistress Oxide Ink Pad - Peacock Feathers

I created my 'water' panel using the oxide inks, watercolor paper & water.
For the rocks & seaweed, I die cut the entire die using green card stock then scribbled some brown onto a scrap of white card stock using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and die cut just the 'rocks' portion ... snipping off any of the seaweed and gluing the rocks over top the green die cut panel.

Next I started creating my scene, die cutting a few other little fishies from the Little B set.

There are several mermaid sets in the store ... just type MERMAID in the search block and choose the one that works best for you.

Thanks

Hi Dies R Us Fans!  Lori her today with a Thank you card for you!

For this A2 card I made the base of the card using Neenah Desert Storm paper.

I took a piece of Neenah Desert Storm paper and ran it through my Xyron machine and then I took the Frantic Stamper Quilt Rectangle die and the paper and put that through my Big Shot.  I took a piece of Merlot paper and the quilt die cut with the adhesive on back and stuck all the pieces down except for the center square, I kept that piece out.  I took some Green paper and the Impression Obsession Gingko Leaf die and cut the leaf out and added that in the center square.  I took a piece of Vellum patterned paper, the Thanks stamp and Versamark and stamped that onto the Vellum and I heat embossed it with Rose Gold embossing powder. I ran the Vellum strip through my Xyron and wrapped it around the Merlot paper and added that to the card base.

Celebrate

Tracy here today with a celebration card. Everyone seems to be celebrating something lately,
so I like to keep a few on hand for these special occasions.

I decided to try something new with this buttercup frame from Precious Marieke. It's a large die so this is a pretty big card at 5 1/2 x 6". The die only cuts the flowers on one side and I wanted to cut them on both sides. This took some time and finagling.  I cut the first side and then had to line it up and position it so my die cutting machine wouldn't cut the straight edge. It took a while but I finally got it to work.

Then it was time to cut the other oval die cuts.

To put it together I used a light purple cardstock for the card base that showed through the cut flowers beautifully. Using some ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever I glued the white flowered piece down and then decided I didn't like all the white so I added a strip of the purple cardstock down the middle. I stamped and embossed the sentiment and then added the two die cut stitched ovals along with a punched butterfly. I decided it needed something else so I broke out some Nuvo drops in crushed grape and carnation pink and added them randomly around the flowers.

Supplies Used

Precious Marieke - Dies - Timeless Flowers - Buttercup Frame

Tutti Designs - Dies - Nesting Stitched Ovals

Best Glue Ever

Nuvo Crystal Drops - Gloss Carnation Pink

Nuvo Crystal Drops - Gloss Crushed Grapes

Thank you Heart Card

Greetings, fellow crafters!  It's Julie with you from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers today.  Do you ever take advantage of the pre-orders and specials offered through the Dies R Us Store?  There are some awesome things to take advantage of!  I recently discovered Birch Press Designs during one of these pre-order events.  These dies are awesome!  Be watching for them!  Or better, yet, sign up for the newsletter and you'll know about them for sure.

I used all 3 layers of the Birch Press Designs Amour Arch to create this:

I used 3 different shades of pink -- a light pink, mauve, and eggplant to create the layered arch.  I was concerned it might be difficult to line up, but I lined up the 2 small hearts on the outside, and that lined up the whole thing.  It was really easy!  I glued all the layers together using Scraperfect Best Glue Ever and the medium No Clog Writing Cap.

The sentiment I used is by Crafter's Companion, but is similar to this one, by Poppy Stamps.  I like the look of sentiments that are die cut, then have a shadow layer behind them.  I used Stick It Adhesive Sheets on the sentiment and the layer behind it.

I added some Liquid Pearls to the card for a little more Bling.  Dies R Us carries many great colors of Liquid Pearls.  The ones on this care are White Opal.

Here's a picture of all the supplies I used.  You can see what the package of the Birch Press Amour Arch dies look like.

Here's all the die cuts once they are cut out, but not yet assembled:

Supplies used on this card from the Dies R Us Store:

I will leave you with one more picture of the finished card:

A Great Big Thanks

Hi everyone!! Dawn here with you today and I have a A Great Big Thanks card to share with you.

The first step is to stamp the images you want to use onto some white cardstock:

Next you want to color the images.  I chose to use Copics.

Next, using the dies that came with the stamp set, cut out the colored images and also the circle die cut out of some green cardstock:

Next assemble the card as you please. I used some foam tape to adhere the green circle die cut to make it look 3d.....

Below are the supplies that I used to make the card:

                 Stampendous - Stamp/Die Set - Elephant
