Saying Hello and Goodbye!

News to share!
We sadly must say GOODBYE to our Monday Inspiration team member Mikha!  Life can sometimes get in the way of our having fun but we do what we need to do!
The Dies R Us family wish Mikha the BEST of LUCK and HAPPINESS in her life's endeavors!

Taking over the Monday Inspiration Spot will be new team member
LESLIE MILLER - Running With Scissors

You will also see Leslie's creations shared on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog - Team B.

Here's a little bit about Leslie ...
I'm an Oregon coast gal loving all things stamping, garden, and Golden Retriever.  I live here with my retired husband, Rich, and my two Goldens, Wally and LuLu.  Speaking of retirement, that's me after 31 years on the job and now it's time to have fun!  I've been stamping for more years than I can remember and I've never stopped enjoying it.  I love to color and play with designer papers, embossing folders, ribbons, dies, and pretty much anything I can use to dress up a card and still fit it in an envelope.  Cute, funny, pretty, shabby, earthy, you name it -- I love it all!  I share my crafty life on my stamping blog, Running With Scissors... and my garden and two beautiful Goldens on another blog, Goldens and Garden.

WELCOME Leslie and BEST OF LUCK Mikha!!

Garden Tea

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is another request for a bride-to-be. Although they are not the same brands, I love this combination of stamp and die, they go together so well.

Materials used include:

Docrafts Xcut Parenthesis 2
Magnolia 'Little London Afternoon Tea' stamp

I used the cute Magnolia 'Little London Afternoon Tea' stamp and masked it with the wooden bench (from CC Designs) before colouring with Copics. I framed her with Docrafts Xcut Parenthesis 2 before distressing the edges and adding some Frantage.

My twisted easel card has some wonderful designer paper layers and is embellished with Poppy Stamps Teacup StackMemory Box Pretty Pumps and Dies R Us Butterflies.

Here is a closer look at the Poppy Stamps Teacup Stack and one of the Dies R Us Butterflies. This butterfly die is one of my favourites as it cuts out 11 individual butterflies in one cut! I also love how all of these little butterflies are all different shapes and sizes too.

And the lovely embossed sentiment, embellished with Memory Box Pretty Pumps.

I hope you've had a chance to check out the other amazing creations from all of the other members of the Dies R Us Design Team, especially Mikha's final amazing creation this week as she is stepping down from the Dies R Us team. Sorry to see you go, you've been an amazing inspiration to so many people but understandably life constantly moves forward. Goodbye and good luck!

To all of the wonderful Dies R Us fans, please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from us again and until next week, happy crafting!

Happy Colors

Hello and Happy Thursday to you!!
My card today is called "Happy Colors".
I named it that as the colors just make me "HAPPY"!

I cut a Cheery Lynn Designs Pinwheel Doily from white card stock.
It comes with an "angel wing"...
but I didn't use it this time.
If you are not sure what an angel wing is,
it's a "solid" cut of the doily to place underneath.

I stenciled Memory Box Florina stencil with Persimmon chalk ink.
Then I placed a circle die on using
Memory Box Open Studio Stitched Circle Layers.

The flower was made with
Sue Wilson Finishing Touches Open Petals.
Make sure to look at all the Sue Wilson Flower dies in stock!
The paper is Ken Oliver Watercolored Memories.

I finished with a few flying butterflies and a stamped sentiment!

Make sure and visit the blog Monday thru Friday to see all the
inspiration the DT offers..it is fabulous!

Don't forget to visit (and join in) our challenges at the
You will see more fabulous inspiration there.

Visit the Dies R Us store often, there are always new dies coming in.

Thank you for visiting with me!!

Love & Happiness!

Hello again, friends!

Can you believe June is only a few days away?  And, of course, June is traditionally a month for brides!  Keeping that in mind, I had to share a wedding card today.  With the multitude of amazing dies available at Dies R Us, you can create gorgeous wedding cards in just minutes!  The beautiful card I will share today was created with just 3 dies!  I used Die-Versions Whispers Wedding Canopy, Die-Versions Whispers Garden Gazebo & Spellbinders Bow Elegance.

I normally use a plain white card for my base, but I had a package of gorgeous Recollections brand cards I bought on sale at Michaels.  They have an embossed frame edge and as you can see, they were the perfect base for my beautiful dies.  A small bow and some pearls were the only embellishments I needed to add.

If you are wondering where I got my wedding couple, I simply made a couple of cuts to the beautiful Wedding Canopy die and slipped the couple from beneath the canopy.  Never be afraid to use just portions of your dies as it gives you so many more options!  For instance, the beautiful canopy in the original die also has two topiary trees which you could cut out to use beside your window or door dies!

Don't forget to check out the daily and challenge blogs!  And if you haven't been to the store since last week, you will want to check it out again!  We are adding new products daily!!

See you again next week!   Go create something wonderful!

"I Do!"

Hello Dies R Us Fans!
Darlene here today to share another inspiration sample with you.
I had a request for a wedding card using a purple & white color scheme.  She didn't want a lot of layers or fussiness so this is what I came up with.

The dies I chose for this card are:
Marianne 'Tiny's Love Birds'  LR0298

The only 'fussiness' I added to my card was the 'pearl necklace' and diamond Stickles on the birds wings and the brides dress.  I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to color in the brides face/hair.  The pearls are actually purple though they look black in the photo.

This is a true showing of how quick & easy a wedding card can be created with just a few die cuts.  You will find dies available at the Dies R Us Store to cover a large variety of occasions.  Please be sure to pop over and have a peek.  I'm sure you'll find exactly what you're looking for!  AND at a very reasonable price!!!

A quick reminder that you still have a few days to participate in our 1st Anniversary Challenge at the Dies R Us Challenge BlogYOU could be one of our FIVE winner's ... HURRY!!

Please stop back tomorrow when Sherri will have an ADORABLE card to share with you.  And, don't forget Diane will be here on Thursday and Alicia on Friday.

I will be back next Tuesday ...
Till then ...

Sassy Steampunk

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is a wonderful Sassy Steampunk card. If you thought that the 'Steampunk' style was difficult, all you need are a few dies and a fantastic image!

Dies used include:

I started off with this Sassy Studio Designs Josephine Steampunk Frame image and coloured her with Copics before fussy cutting around it. I layered her over some coordinating designer papers and used the Cheery Lyn Designs Burlap Border to add some texture. This was the first time I used this die and I just love it.

I then cut out the Kaiser Craft Clock in a coordinating bold colour to highlight the gorgeous teal in the designer paper. And what it can't be a steampunk card without gears/cogs. So I used the Memory Box Antique Gear Set on glitter cardstock to add some extra embellishment to the card.

If you haven't already popped over to the shop swing by to get all of these dies (& oh so much more!). And if you are like me you will love the free shipping on all orders over $50 for international shipments and just $35 for all domestic ones too. You will also receive 1 reward point for every dollar you spend. For all of the rewards information see here. And if the die you want is 'Out of Stock', simply click on the 'Put me on the Waiting List' and you will be notified when it becomes available.

Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of the ladies on the  Dies R Us team. Until next week, happy crafting!

Bearded Iris

Hi All!
Diane here with you on this Thursday before the
Memorial Day holiday in the US
with a card using one of the new flower dies in the
Dies R Us store!

I started with a background paper that I softened the color
by machine stitching vellum on top.

The Iris  die is by Frantic Stamper and called Mix and Match Irises.
If you are not familiar with these, they are flower dies
that you can mix and match with Frantic Stamper Stems.
There are several other flowers to choose from, too.

You purchase the stems and the flower heads separately.
I think these dies would be pretty cut in white card stock,
then colored and shaded in with your pens and/or watercolors.

I also used a butterfly by Wild Rose Studio called Little Butterfly!
I love the detail and the size!
When in the Dies R Us store, enter in the word "butterfly"
and you will be amazed at how many different ones there are
to select from in various styles and sizes!!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow
to see Alicia's inspiration project!
There is also an anniversary party going on at the
with 5 prizes given out to five lucky entrants.
All you have to do is enter the challenge with an anniversary card!

Thank you for visiting with me.
Have a safe and fabulous holiday!

Have a Sweet Birthday!

Hello, friends!

It's Wednesday again and time to share in another celebration!  We all have lots of birthday celebrations in our lives & a handmade card is always a special treat to receive.  Today I used a darling digi image from Tiddly Inks.  I fell in love with this sweet face and knew she would be perfect for two of my newest dies.
I used Wild Rose Studio Olivette Corner and Spellbinders Pierced Ovals for this fun card.

I LOVE this Wild Rose Studio Olivette Corner! It not only cuts a beautiful corner design, but extra flowers that you can use to stack on the main flower for a whole new look!  As you can see from the image below, I also cut the corner in the purple polka dot and added it to the inside sentiment.

If you haven't been to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog yet, be sure to head there!  We are having a month long celebration of our one year anniversary and there are lots of prizes to be won!

Until next Wednesday, have a fantastic week!

The Perfect Age To Be!

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is for a great friend's wonderful milestone celebration!

Dies used include:
Memory Box Curly Ribbon
Taylored Expression Champagne Flutes
Kaiser Craft Lacey Borders

I used Jade Dragonne's 'Champagne' as the centerpiece for my card and coloured her in with Copics. I framed her with the Taylored Expressions Label Stacklets 1 before layering her on some simple designer papers. I used the Docraft Xcut Tags & Bookplates to frame my 'Perfect Age To Be' sentiment.

To get into the spirit of the celebration, I used x3 of the Taylored Expression Champagne Flutes, Kaiser Craft Lacey Borders and Memory Box Banner Parade. I also added the Memory Box Curly Ribbon for that little bit more celebration flare!

If you're looking for a celebration to join in with then come over to the Challenge Blog as we are halfway through our month-long 'Anniversary' challenge. Challenge #25 will be running through until on May 28. There is some brand new 'Anniversary' inspiration from the DT's. To be in the running for the $10 voucher at the Dies R Us store simply use a die in your challenge entry.

Stitched Memories

Hi there!
It's Thursday and my time to share a card with you
using a few fun new dies I just received!

I make lots of fancy and fussy cards,
but today I went an entirely different route!
A bit more clean and simple and easy to mail!

on white card stock using
TH Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade and Peacock Feathers.
I cut out a circle with Memory  Box Stitched Circles layers.
This one is no longer in stock, but did you know if you
typed in the word "stitched" in the search box
many more will come up to choose from?
You can do this with any word and it is amazing how many fun dies
you can find that way!

My sentiment was stamped on with Versamark,
then embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle Black Detail EB powder.
The stamp is a Magenta, if interested.

From scrap paper I cut Memory Box Surely Stitched Circle.
A few little flowers from my stash were added.

Don't forget to enter our Dies R Us Anniversary challenge.
It is all month long celebrating Dies R Us 1st Anniversary!!
There will be FIVE lucky winners chosen to win a gift certificate...
hurry and join in for a chance to win!!

See you next Thursday!!

Congratulations Grads!

Happy Wednesday!

Since I have already had requests for graduation cards, I'm sure a lot of you are in the same boat!  It's that time of year again, isn't it?  And thankfully, Dies R Us has the perfect dies for your cards! When I first saw the selection of graduation dies I had an easy time deciding which ones I wanted.  I have already made a lot of cards with them, but will only share 3 of them.  Once you see how easy it is to create graduation cards you will be amazed!  I used just 3 dies on these cards and one embossing folder which we also carry! How easy does THAT make your shopping!!  The dies are Impression Obsession Grads Jumping, Impression Obsession Grads Tossing, Impression Obsession Congrats  and the folder is Darice Photo Frame.

This first die is perfect if you want to make several ahead as it could easily be used for either a guy or a gal!

This cute gal is just one of the two dies in the Grads Jumping set.  The guy is below!

I created mine in black, but you can easily change to school colors if you know them as well.

Don't forget to join in on our month long anniversary celebration!  The Dies R Us Challenge Blog is giving away gift cards!

Until next week, have a wonderful week & create something wonderful!

Vintage Mercedes

Welcome Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is a throwback to the 70's!

Dies used include:
Spellbinders Curved Rectangle

I've coloured up Simply B Stamps 'Mercedes' with Copics and framed her with Spellbinders Curved Rectangle, and embossed and chalked the edges. I've layered her over some gorgeous designer papers  (there is actually a Magnolia Doohickey View Master die which would have matched my DP perfectly - alas it is not in my collection...yet!) I then replicated the roses in the image up in the top corner using individual dies from the Impression Obsession Spiral Flowers and Impression Obsession Layered Floral Set. The sentiment was framed with the largest Cheery Lyn Designs Tags 1.

I hope you've had a chance to check out the other super creations from all of the other members of the Dies R Us Design Team. Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of us again and until next week, happy crafting!

Happy May to You!!
Diane with you today...my goodness, doesn't it seem like
I was just here...lol...where does the time go?

Spring is definitely in the air in Michigan.....
It's all about flowers and birds singing right now.
I can't seem to stop myself from making flowers..
they just make me happy.

So, today I have a  pretty watercolor card to share with you.
I used newly released  Ken Oliver watercolor paper

Finishing Touches Delicate Daisies Complete Petals
cut from the watercolor paper
and
Finishing Touches Open Petals cut from white card stock.

I just love these sets of dies.

You can use them in so many different ways.....

I haven't seen any hummingbirds yet this year,
but I added one to my card cut from

A Day at The Beach!

Happy Wednesday!

Can you believe it is already May?  And almost time for trips to the beach!  I couldn't pass up this adorable image from Tiddly Inks.  She is obviously ready for a fun day in the sun!

I had the perfect dies for her:  Cheery Lynn Dutch Scallop Square, Spellbinders Oval Regalia, Impression Obsession Beach Chairs & Impression Obsession Sailboat.

I have a tip you may like for cutting your dies.  I cut them  in white cardstock and then color them with my markers so they match whatever I am coloring.  It's so much easier than trying to find the perfect color match with your paper stash!

Be sure you all visit the Dies R Us Challenge Blog!  We are having a month long celebration of our one year anniversary with lots of chances to win gift cards!

Until next week, have a wonderful week & create something wonderful!

Good Surprises!

Hello Dies R Us Friends!

Darlene here!  YEP ... We're Excited!  It's Dies R Us First Anniversary and the party has already begun at our Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  We are having a Month Long Challenge in celebration and at the end of that month we will be drawing FIVE (5) lucky winners to receive a $10 gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store.  We hope you'll come join in the fun ... easy, peasy!  Create an Anniversary Card using Die Cuts and link up at the challenge blog by May 28th to qualify for a prize!!

You will be seeing some Amazing anniversary cards from Teams A & B over on the challenge blog throughout the month so today I'm sharing a Birthday Card with you.
Here's the story behind today's card . . .

I've been busy making Tissue Box Covers for my Spring Craft Shows and since I didn't want to waste any of the beautiful designer paper I've been using, I decided to turn all the scraps into a variety of cards.  (You can pop over to my blog HERE to see the coordinating tissue box cover if you'd like.)
By using die cuts with your scrap designer papers, you can create some of the most amazing cards.  I will share more along the way but this is one of my favorites!

The dies I've used today are:
 Spellbinder Celebrations 'Pierced Rectangles' (#SCD-012)
(sorry, rectangles no longer available but there are squares, circles & ovals!)

"Love, love, love these background die sets!!!"

By making my background panel from the patterned paper then overlaying the background die, it's so easy to hide any imperfections in matching (or not) your patterns.

Another little tip is:   By cutting a panel of patterned paper that would fit the inside of a card ... THEN cutting the 'Heirloom Legacy' oval panel for the front of my card from that piece.  I was not only able to use the oval background for the sentiment on the front of TODAY'S card creation . . .

but also the inside sentiment panel for another card (as seen above). The butterfly die used on this inside panel is BoBunny Dies 'Flutter' also available at our Dies R Us Store.

I hope you have found these little tips and tricks helpful and will give them a try on your cards.  There are SO MANY beautiful dies available at the STORE!  More and more new releases are being added all the time so be sure to stop over and have a look at all the DIE CUTTING GOODNESS available in one location.  Over 40 die cutting companies represented!

That's it for me today, be sure to pop over to the PARTY, I'll be looking for you!!
