Hello everyone.

There is 6 months (less) to Christmas Wow 2020 has flown by.

I wanted to share with something for everyone.  Lawn Fawn came out with a new line in June 2020.
Fairytales.  We all want to grant you something different in our lives.  Fairytale is something we wish to come true.  Today I want you wish upon something new.  This amazing set is something to dream upon.

The stamp set from Lawn Fawn is Little Dragon stamp & Tiny Fairy Tale remember I also used the matching dies.  Tiny Fairy Die & Little Dragon Die.

Merry Christmas in July

Merry Christmas in July, friends!

It's Nancy, from The Nickel Nook, back with a new project share!

This week I'm sharing a fun Christmas card,
made with some really fun dies!

Shaped cards are so much fun to make!
This die set from Yvonne Creations includes several layers,
as well as many fun elements.

I layered my base cut with some pretty Christmas paper.
Then I added a lovely oval die-cut shape,
to which I added some pretty decorative elements,
along with a stamped sentiment.
Finally, I added some Nuvo drops for the berries.

Products Used:

Yvonne Creations - Holly Jolly - Card Set

Home Decor Heart

Hey there!
It's Judy here sharing a home decor piece
that anyone can create using a variety of dies.

I started by gathering some supplies:
9 x 10 x 3/8 inch chipboard heart
12 x 12 inch printed card stock
white and pink printer paper
nesting flower die set

I die cut several pieces of the printer paper in various
sizes with the flower dies.

I layered the flower pieces, poked a hole in the center
and spritzed with water.

Taking 1 layer at a time, I "scrunched" each
layer up to the center.

These are the 3 flowers I created.
Using the various sizes and varying the number of layers
gives each flower a unique look.

I traced the heart on the backside of the printed card stock and cut.
I painted the edges of the heart with white acrylic paint,
adhered the printed card stock with decoupage medium
and added a piece of pink picot edge ribbon.

I decided I wanted to add a little texture to the heart base,
so I used a frame die and a honeycomb die
and cut and trimmed, in what I thought looked good
and added the effect I wanted, before adhering to the heart base.

I added the flowers and die cut some foliage and butterflies
to complete my design.

Underwater Scene Shadow Box

Hey everyone, Anne here from Anne-Made and today I'm sharing a shadow box card I created for the Dies R Us Inspiration team.

The following dies were used to create this fun shaker card:

Even though there are dies that will die cut a shadow box for you, I needed one to be large enough to showcase my tallest die, the Coral Reef Scene. Therefore I created my own. For this shadow box, I needed two pieces of cardstock that were 10"x3.75". Score both on the long side at 3" and 7". Using the Oval, cut out the center of one of the pieces.

For the back panel, I adhered patterned papers and I blended Distress Oxides for the front panel.

Next, I began die cutting the Coral and Coral Reef Scene from white cardstock and then added colors and glitter.

Once everything was colored, I began to assemble the back half of the shadow box. Using some strips from the same patterned cardstock, I created my anchors to hold the die cuts and adhered them down.

After this step, I decided the patterned cardstock needed something more, so I carefully stamped a few seahorses and swirly ferns to the each side. I definitely recommend doing this step before adhering the bridges, but as you can see, it's not impossible to do this step afterwards. 😀

Next I stamped and fussy cut my sea turtle and added him to a piece of clear acetate so that he looks like he's swimming in the ocean. I adhered this bridge toward the front of the shadow box.

Then I placed a middle bridge to hold my Coral. I added a few pieces of Coral this and have it behind the sea turtle. Now I'm ready to assemble the box. Each piece is shaped like a "U", so you can slip the back piece inside the front piece and adhere the two side pieces together. SO easy.

I also stamped another sea horse, fussy cut him out and adhered these to the front of the shadow box.

Here's one final look at the completed project:

I hope you've enjoyed today's project.  Head back to the Dies R Us Blog tomorrow for more fabulous inspiration from the DRU Inspiration design team.

Wacky Window Backgrounds

Hello craft friends,

Mary here with two different sized card backgrounds using the Wacky Window Card Panel die.

The A2 (4.25 x 5.5) card was quick and easy to make.  After I ran the die through, I kept all the inner windows in place adding tape to the back of the panel, because I didn't want any of the inner windows to move while I brushed inked on them while holding the die over the panel. Inking the windows this way was faster, kept the card cleaner and gave each inner window a tiny white border.  Next I mounted the panel on black and then onto the card front.  I finished the card with a black card stock die cut Happy Happy Happy by Frantic Stamper and a black card stock die cut Flower Wish by Tutti Designs.

The slim (3.75 x 8) card took a little longer to make, but it was the first one I made.  I cut a piece of card stock (I used mixed media paper) a little wider and longer than the 3.75 x 8 size I needed and ran the die through the first time die cutting the top of the slim panel.  Next, I measured how many more inner windows my slim card would need length wise and aligned the die for it's second pass, this time positioning the top cutting plate away from where I didn't want it to cut into any of my previously die cut areas.

Unless you are going for a very clean look, don't worry is your partial die cutting leaves blemishes or marks, in most cases, you'll be able to hide them with other elements you'll be adding to your card.

I used a rainbow selection of Distress inks for my inner windows and finished the card with a couple of black card stock die cuts Happy Happy Happy by Frantic Stamper

Unicorn Picnic

Hello Everyone..

I hope all of you are enjoying your summer, staying safe and healthy.

Lawn Fawn has come up with so many new items this release.   Oh I was so excited.
My daughter and granddaughter absolutely love unicorns so making this card I had them in mind.

Using all the new release it was fun to make.  I love the Magic Iris Camera Add-on  along with the Magic Iris Camera Pull-tab Add-on die.  Isn't the Unicorn Picnic Stamp and Unicorn Picnic Die.

For the pull up photo I used the Magic Iris Camera Pull-tab Add-on die.  I have also made this card with the Insta Camera photo that you take.

For the background of the photo I used the Starry Sky Stencil with Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers & Fresh Lavender inks.

I hope you really enjoy this card and have a great time making this.

Thank you

Alycia
XOXO
