Plaid Happy Birthday

Hi there,
Shona here with you again today to share a different kind of card for me, i.e. no glitter or flocking!

The die I used today is a fraction of it's original price. So grab it now if you can! I hadn't realized that when making this card. It is much bigger than I had thought it was too.

First, I stamped the plaid background from Concord & 9th in Versafine Clair Charming Pink. I used my Stamp Platform to do this to get good coverage.

Re-inking and stamping three times, gave a nice even result.

Once it was dry, I die cut the Die-Versions Happy Birthday Solo Sentiments die from the middle of it, being careful that I didn't lose any of the little negative pieces. Then I ran black cardstock through with the same die.

A piece of Super Adhesive Tape was stuck to the back of the plaid negative piece and the black Happy Birthday outline was placed in the sticky space. The little plaid pieces were inserted into their respective spots. I neglected to take a photo of that ... my bad!

The plaid piece was then popped up with little mounting foam strips, but I moved it all slightly intentionally to the left.

Another "Happy Birthday" was die cut from another piece of black cardstock that would be used as the layer on top of the card base. This was then taped again slightly to the left so that it achieved more dimension.

The black piece was then layered to a white card base and then the focal panel was taped on top. A piece of black and white cord was tied around the top of the card to finish it off.

Here are the products that I used in my project today:

Concord & 9th Plaid Background Stamp
Super Adhesive Sheet
Mounting Foam
Black and White cord

Sweet Love Card

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a lovely and easy Valentine's Day card or just a love card.

I only used dies and a bit of ink to create this card - which makes it easy to make multiples if needed.

Here's the card I created.

I gathered all the dies, cardstock and specialty paper. I die cut all the components for the card.

I then used Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage to color the stems of the blooms. Next, I used Distress Oxide in Tattered Rose for the buds.

I trimmed one of the buds off the stem. I will use this stem for my hearts.
I  adhered the hearts to the stem.

Next, I adhered the lattice to the pink cardstock panel.
Now, I am ready to adhere the blooms to the panel.

I start by tucking the first bloom at the bottom left of the panel. Then I follow with the heart buds and then I finally trim and tuck the last bloom.

Next, I adhered the sentiments die cuts to the top right-hand corner of the panel. I then adhered the card front panel to the card base.

For finishing touches, I adhered a few Jewels in red, pink and white.
Now, the card is complete.

Boxy Love

Vicki here again this week! Did you know we only have 2 weeks before Valentine's Day?

My teammates make the most amazing cards with dies, but I'm more simple with mine and this one is no different.  I made A2 cards and just layered the mats and carefully glued down the die cute image. Super simple and no time at all. These turned out more masculine than I had planned, but they will work perfectly for the guys in my life.

Here's the link to the die: Cheapo Dies Stacked Love

Loads of Love Card

It's Julie with you today, and my husband loves old trucks, so when trying to figure out his Valentine's card for this year, an old truck seemed like a good choice:

This old truck is by Cheapo Dies and is called Loads of Love.  I also used a set of stitched snowdrift dies from Lawn Fawn.

Here's all the supplies and papers I used:

Here's everything die cut.  I cut out extra wheels and hubcaps so I could keep the best 2 to use on the truck. Gluing small things together can be tough for me, so I gave myself extra chances :)

I thought the truck could use some rust, so a little metallic wax did the trick:

I used a hot foil machine and a foil stamp to achieve the background on this card.  I really like the look you can achieve with hot foil:

I used Stick It Sheets to adhere the letters to the card.

I wanted to make sure you've heard the exciting news!  Dies R Us now has a sister store located in Canada called Didi Crafts.  With warehouses in both the US and Canada, it will ship both to both countries.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as Dies R Us, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to pay huge taxes or large shipping costs.  How great is that?!?!

I hope you check this blog every day for wonderful inspiration!  The design team is so creative, you don't want to miss anything.  Then, join in the challenges at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  Here's one last link to the Dies R Us Store for you, too!

Christmas Robins

Hello crafting friends. Lena here today sharing a couple of Christmas cards made using the same die.  I know, it's only January, but I make Christmas cards all year 'round. That way there is no mad rush in November to complete a bunch of cards to send out 😀

I always enjoy making a few cards that look like I spent a while making them, but in fact  were done in about 15 minutes each.  And what took the longest was placing the tiny gems all around the images! 😀  As I'm sure you know by now, I love pretty background dies. When you're in a pinch, they serve to make beautiful cards in very little time.  As you can see on the above photos, both cards use the same dies, except that I changed the direction and the colours on the second card.  The only other things I added were the gems and the four poinsettias.  This die is beautiful for any occasion and for any time of the year.
The bird images are both from a cutting sheet, called
Christmas Robins by Marianne Designs, but you can use other images, your stamps or dies. The possibilities are endless!

I kept the inside very simple.  I cut out oval mats using Spellbinders Oval dies and stamped the greeting.  Then added a small stamped holly for a little extra special touch.

Here is the list of the few supplies I used, each linked to the
Dies R Us store for your convenience.

I'd like to remind you  that our sister store is now opened.  Didi Crafts has warehouses located in the USA and Canada, and although it carries some of the same products as Dies R Us, you will also be able to purchase a huge variety of crafty supplies for a variety of crafts.  Having this sister store means that our Canadian crafting friends won't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees.  Isn't that great?!  Go take a peek and be pleasantly surprised!
