Hello, Alicia here today with a slider card. I began with a Distress Oxide ink background. I used several colors then went over the entire surface with Black Soot leaving some color visible. I sprayed shimmer spray and used a Wink of Stellapen to create stars.
Next I die cut the center with the Lawn Fawn Slide On Over Wave die. In the meantime, I had already die cut the space ship and alien from the Karen Burniston Space Charms. I cut the alien into pieces to fit into the space ship. I added a layer of acetate on top of the alien there is a special die for this in the set. I cut the other piece from silver metallic card stock. I added gems in the light holes. I used a pen to color the eyes and lips of the alien and tires of the ship using the embossing area of the die. I used the basic penny method to add the spaceship to the wavy slider cut.

Hello, crafty Dies R Us fans! Leslie here from Love To Scrap 2 and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a fun masculine card for that boat lover which features the amazing Twisted Rope Background Die from Tutti Designs! I love this die - it makes the BEST masculine cards!
Okay, so let's get started!
1. Die cut the twisted rope background from kraft cardstock and set aside while you cut all the other pieces and parts you'll need for your card.
2. Cut a landscape top-folding standard A2 size card base, an inside layering panel and a narrow embellishing strip for the inside from kraft cardstock, along with front and inside layering panels and a narrow embellishing strip for the inside cut from navy and red cardstock.
3. For the front panel, adhere the twisted rope background die cut to the navy cardstock panel with spray adhesive (the easiest and fastest way I've found to adhere 'lacy' type die cuts) and then adhere the panel to the red cardstock layer. For the inside panel, adhere the blue, red and kraft embellishing strips down the left side, then adhere the panel to the blue cardstock layer and then to the red cardstock layer.
4. Stamp the front sentiment in blue ink, trim, and layer on red cardstock. Adhere the sentiment to the front panel and add a red anchor brad. Stamp the inside sentiment in blue ink.
5. Adhere the panels to the card base. And you're finished! ;)

Hi Guys! I'mDebbie fromDebbie J’s Crafting Corner, here today sharing how I used the Tropical Backdrop Die from Lawn Fawn to frame an ocean sunset background on my card.
I love showing the process when I’m creating. I hope my tutorial and video help you see that, if I can make it, You Can Too!
I used the following stamps and dies fromDies R Us:
Check out the video showing how I created this fantastic card!
I’ve been wanting to use this frame die for a while but never found the right idea to create. Then I thought, “What if I made a sunset view from the beach?” (I think “what if” are every crafter’s last words. LOL )
Anyway, this card design is pretty simple and would work with ANY tropical scene card… I think this would even work on a ‘Congrats on your new home’ card… I live in Florida, and we have LOTS of palms… I can’t get my hubby to stop planting them. We are starting to have a jungle… hmmm… that’s another idea! A jungle card!
I started by cutting the frame from some black cardstock.
Then I “tested” it with a sunset card panel that I’d done earlier. (if you want to see how I’m creating these cool ocean scenes, check out this video.
I have to admit, this new one is my favorite… so far.
I want it to look as if we are watching the sun go down from on the beach. And I think the trees look a little 2 dimensional… Let's fix that!
I used the other dies in the set, the ones for the trunks and for the fronds, and cut them out of brown and green cardstock respectively.
But they weren’t dark enough for a sunset scene.
Easy Fix! I just grabbed a dark green and a dark brown marker and colored the edges.
Perfect! It gives the illusion of dimension.
After testing it out on the first set of leaves, I colored the rest of the pieces and adhered them behind the trees with Art Glitter Glue.
OK… one more test…
Fantastic.
Before I start adhering everything together, I’ll add a sentiment. I took the “Enjoy the beach life” sentiment from the Color Layering Waves stamp set (from Hero Arts), and heat embossed it below the trees on the right side.
This is where the fun (NOT) started.
I got it stamped with no problem. (I used Versafine Onyx black ink for this… I’ve been having issues with my clear embossing inks)
Then I accidentally covered that with WOW! Clear Embossing Ink!
I had intended to use White detail embossing powder from Recollections.
It’s fixable.
Since I had already heated it, I just re-stamped and used the correct powder… It took a few layers, but you can now see the sentiment.
Oh… and of course, I spilled my white embossing powder in the process.
Next I adhered this frame to the front of my sunset with Art Glitter Glue, making sure to keep as much sky as possible… I love the sky at sunset! Don’t you?
The sunset panel is a little larger than my frame, so I trimmed it down with my Fiskars paper trimmer and added it to the front of an A2 card base.
Here are some photos of the finished card.
Thank you so much for dropping by. I hope you enjoyed this project and would love to hear what you think of this card.

Diane here with a new card for inspiration. I am happy to share with you a lovely card using a few fabulous dies from Dies R Us. This card can be used as an Engagement card, Wedding announcement, Congratulations Wedding or maybe even a Happy Wedding Anniversary card. I am using Cross Stitch Nesting Hearts and the Fancy Dancing Couple dies from Tutti Designs available at Dies R Us.
I am really please with how this card turned out and it was so easy with the Tutti dies from Dies R Us. This card measures 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 (US Standard A2 sized card). I used black card stock for my base. I cut it at 4 1/4 X 11 and scored it at 5 1/2 to make a top fold card. The background paper is a Graphic 45 Journaling card from the new "Elegance Collection". I took some pink paper from the Graphic 45 Elegance patterns and solids and cut the middle sized Cross Stitch Heart. Then using the Dancing Couple die, I cut it out from Gold cardstock. For the small heart, I took some of the Elegance patterned paper and glued the Couple's die to the paper making sure it covered the heart. Then I fussy cut around the small heart. I use the same process for the dress. This time I took some white glitter paper and I glued the couple to the white glitter paper. I then fussy cut around the outline of her dress. I added some tiny flat back pearls to her vail. To finish the front of the card I added the "Beautiful" sentiment from the Graphic 45 "Elegance" die cut assortment pack.
To finish the inside of my card, I took a Graphic 45 Journaling card, one with lines, and place it on the inside of the card to have a place to write my message. I hope you enjoyed this post today. Be sure to visit Die R Us for these dies and many others that are available.
