Hello Everyone!
Darlene with you today and have a fun creation to share!
I must admit it's actually something that's 'outside my wheelhouse'!
(I'm more of a foo-foo, vintage kind of gal, lol)
See what I mean? LOL ... no vintage foo-foo here!
But again ... it was fun to 'think outside the box' to create something new & fresh!
To
be totally honest, I had a new order of dies on my table that had yet
to be put away and I thought I'd just pull a few out and see what could
be created with them. The dies I've used are . . .
Memory Box 'Garland Greens' #99229 (presently OOS)
OKAY
... so while I was typing up this post and looking at my card more
closely, I decided I didn't like how the 'greenery' was just popping up
out of no where so decided to see how I could 'fix that issue'. Here's
what I came up with ... what do you think?
Do you like the original or the 'fixed' version??
I grabbed another new die from the pile called 'Grass Border' by Precious Marieke (#PM10002)
and die cut a piece from the same garden green card stock. Well,
actually I ended up cutting two pieces. Once I attached the first strip
(which didn't go end to end), I decided to cut another and fill in each
end so it went across the entire bottom panel.
Of course I couldn't leave well enough alone!
Then decided to grab my Spectrum Noir GB10 alcohol marker and
give this 'bottom grass' a contrasting color.
So there you have it ... the final version of the front of my card! LOL!
(What can I say ... it was a work in progress! LOL)
BUT
WAIT ... then I saw the original teal blue 'bubbles' I had cut (which
looked horrible on the front) and decided they would be the perfect
accent for the inside of my card! Why not! Right! You can't just
throw away perfectly good bubbles!! LOL
Thanks for sticking with me through this long post!
