Sending my Love

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is going with the season of love, and every girl's favourite... flowers!

Dies used include:

I used the 'no-lines' technique to colour in the Magnolia 'Lady Tilda' stamp before framing it with Docraft Xcut Rectangle Parenthesis 2. I layered her over some designer papers and used the Docraft Xcut Tags & Bookplates to cut out the sentiment. I've then embellished it simply using both Lala Land Cherry Blossom and the Memory Box Cherry Blossom in the corner.

A brand new challenge starts this weekend over at the Challenge Blog. Challenge #19 is also going with the season of love and its a 'HEART' challenge. So that could be anything such as using a heart die, heart paper. or a heart stamp etc.To be in the running for the $10 voucher at the Dies R Us store simply use a die in your challenge entry.

Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of the ladies on the  Dies R Us team. Until next week, happy crafting!

All You Need is LOVE!

Happy Die R Us Thursday everyone! Robin here with another Valentine's design using a few of the many dies from Dies R Us! I think Valentine's Day is such a sweet (no pun intended) day to remember your sweetie! Not to mention the next day just happens to be my birthday...are you listening DH?
My card starts with a white side fold card base, A2 in size. I then cut a sheet of polka dot card stock slightly smaller and set aside. The fancy heart is Die-Versions Fancy Love Heart and was cut from red card stock. Then I covered the heart with VersaMark and used clear embossing powder to give it a shinny appearance. The bottom heart strip is Hearts Border from Tailored Expressions that I cut from white card stock and adhered to bottom of dotted paper. I cut the same die again, this time using red card stock and inlaid the hearts into the strip. I glued the fancy heart onto the background paper and then adhered the entire background to my card base using foam tape.

I stamped my sentiment and cut it out using Taylored Expressions Tag Stacklets 1. I added an enameled brad and adhered the tag to my card using foam pop ups.

Be sure to check out Dies R Us, not only is it a GREAT store but they have an Inspiration Blog AND a twice monthly Challenge Blog! Don't be left out!

Until next Thursday, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Just a Happy Little Note!

Hello, friends!

Can you believe it is already the last Wednesday for the month?  I hope you have been enjoying the daily visits by our design team & getting lots of ideas for your own creations!   I wanted to sneak in a little note card today as a break from all the Valentines we have been bombarding you with.  lol   I try to keep a stock of blank cards with no sentiments that I can grab for a quick thank you.... how are you feeling....what are you up to kind of card.  We have tons of gorgeous flowers in the store that would work for this card, but I chose Poppy Stamps Bountiful Sunflower, along with the Poppy Stamps Bountiful Sunflower Background and Poppy Stamps Classic Ribbons.  Here is the result.

Who wouldn't love to get this cheerful card in the mail?  I wish my photography skills were better so you could see the Wink of Stella accents on the leaves, stem & center, but I think you can get the idea. This card took almost no time at all & you could easily change the sentiment to Happy Birthday, Get Well, or any other greeting you needed.

Be sure you head on over to the Dies R Us Challenge blog!  We have new challenges beginning on the first & fifteenth of each month with chances for you to win a gift voucher to the store!  There are so many new dies coming in daily, that you really need to check back often so you won't miss anything!

Don't forget to check out the rest of this week's designers & I'll be back again next Wednesday!

Happy Crafting!

"All You Need is Love"

Do you remember that 'song que'???

Happy Tuesday Dies R Us Friends and thanks for stopping by!

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE by the Beatles was a huge hit (now I'm showing my age, lol)
and I can't hear that phrase without playing the song over and over again in my head!  LOL!
Click on the song title to hear it for yourself (if you dare!  lol)

ANYWAYS . . .
Darlene here with my design team card to hopefully share some inspiration with you.
It's design is pretty simple but yet quite striking I think.

I have used two die cutting sets on today's card:

Spellbinder's Shapeabilities 'Royal Lace'  #S4-438
Spellbinders Royal Love dies
Cheery Lynn Designs 'Love'  #B227
Love (Set of 2) - B227

This Spellbinder die set comes with three little addition dies to add as embellishments to you card ... hearts, butterflies and flowers.  All the appropriate 'extra touches' for a love card.

I wanted to add just a little 'something' to the inside of my card and, when I was die cutting the hearts to add to my card front I noticed how nicely they were embossed around the cut.  SO, I decided to die cut the top corner of my inside panel ... perfect!

You'll want to be sure to stop over at the Dies R Us Store for all your upcoming card creations!  We have an amazing list of die companies to choose your dies from and the shipping rates are exceptional.

Please remember to come join in the Dies R Us Challenges too!
There's a new challenge posted on the 1st and 15th of each month and you could be the lucky winner of a gift voucher to the store!  Come take a peek then play along ... we'd love to have you!

I'll be back next Tuesday but you need not wait that long for inspiration!  My team mates create the most amazing creations to share with you each day Mon - Fri.

Remember, anytime your mojo is 'not what it should be' ... you can always pop over here to be inspired.  Feel free to leave a comment while you're here ... we'd love to hear from you!

Petal Blossom

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is inspired by this gorgeous Art by Miran Facebook 'progressive challenge' image 'Petal Blossom'.

Dies used include:

I've used this stunning Art by Miran image called 'Petal Blossom' and have coloured her with Copics before framing her with the Spellbinders Label Thirty Six and aging it with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink and some Frantage. I layered her over some choice papers and the Cheery Lyn Victorian Pickey Fence.

Here is a close up of the beautiful image.

I've embellished the card with Memory Box Cherry Blossom and Magnolia Doohickey Hellebores over the Magnolia Doohickey Leaf & Swirl. Here is a close up of some of the dies used. The sentiment was also cut with the Spellbinders Label Thirty Six.

If you haven't already popped over to the shop swing by to get all of these dies (& oh so much more!). And if you are like me you will love the free shipping on all orders over $50 for international shipments and just $35 for all domestic ones too. You will also receive 1 reward point for every dollar you spend. For all of the rewards information see here.

Be Mine!

Happy Dies R Us Thursday everyone! It's time to start thinking about a new year of holidays coming our way...yes the next major card giving day is just around the corner! February 14th, Valentine's Day, in case you forgot!
My Valentine card starts with an A2 card base in an off white, Bazzill Walnut Cream. I used the same paper to cut Poppystamps Woodland Oval die and MFT Die-namics Hearts a Plenty (scalloped).  From a designer Valentine paper (4 x 51/4)  I cut a negative space with the Woodland Oval die and adhered another heart paper on the back. I then glued the Woodland Oval into the negative space. After adding my heart ribbon to the bottom I used foam tape to add to my card base. I stamped my sentiment (Avery Elle) onto the heart, lightly sponged the edges, added a glitter heart and attached the heart with foam pop ups.

Be sure to stop by the Dies R Us store, they have many of the new releases in stock, just waiting for YOU! Shipping is FREE on orders $35 or more!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Happy Retirement!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I hope you have been browsing all the wonderful ideas our design team has posted so far this week & are planning to check out the rest of the week as well.  The wonderful thing about dies is that sometimes you "pass" on a die thinking you would have no use for it or it doesn't appeal to you and then you see a card that someone has made with it and suddenly it is a "must-have" die!  I have to admit that I have ordered a lot of dies I had "passed" after seeing a card by one of our talented design team members!

I know we are all concentrating on Valentines right now, but I thought I would take a break & share a retirement card today.  At this time of year, a lot of people are retiring and coming up with a perfect card is never easy!  This particular one is for my daughter's boss, who is such a sweet guy I had to make him something special.  I've used the following dies on this one:  Impression Obsession Plane With Banner, Memory Box Golf Club Landscape, Memory Box Puffy Clouds & Frantic Stamper Golf Companion.
This card would also be great for a birthday card as well!

I generated the sentiment on my computer to make it personal, but you could just as easily use a stamp.

There is still time to head on over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog & join in on the challenge for a chance at a gift voucher to the fabulous store!  I think we really have the most complete line of dies anywhere, and don't forget the embossing folders & stamps while you are there!

I'll be back again next Wednesday!  Enjoy the rest of your week & I'll see you then!

Happy XOXOXO Anniversary

Happy Tuesday Dies R Us Friends!
It's time once again for me, Darlene, to share an inspirational creation using die cuts carried at the Dies R Us Online Store.
Even though it's getting close to Valentine's Day and we are all concentrating on making those 'loving' creations, I know there are some people who actually choose that date for their wedding day so I felt an Anniversary card was in order.
What do you think?

The dies used on this creation are:
Impression Obsession 'Layered Hearts' #DIE056
Impression Obsession 'Cupids' #DIE125
Cheery Lynn Designs 'Happy' #B226
Happy (Set of 2) - B226
Anniversary Mix and Match Words - B243

The 'heart' and the 'cupid' have been die cut twice ... once in white and once in red.
After using E6000 Spray Adhesive to attach my heart die cut to a lighter red panel, I filled in the full hearts with those die cut from the deeper red paper.  A white Gelly Roll pen was used to add the outline dots.  For the cupid I offset the white cupid atop the red cupid to give the illusion of a shadow then popped it up with dimensional tape.  I love how this came together!

If you are new to DIES R US, here are some important links you'll want to check out . . .

Remember to come join in our challenge fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  Our current challenge is to use your die cuts along with an EMBOSSING FOLDER (which I have actually done on my card today).  Hope to see you there!!

Hope you're stay warm and safe inside playing with all your new Christmas dies from the Dies R Us Store!  Weren't those some AWESOME SALES ... WOW!

Happy Day Everyone ... I'll be back next Tuesday but please stop back tomorrow to see what Sherri has created for you!  Till then . . .

Spreading Some Love

Hi friends :)
Happy Monday :)
Today I'm gonna post something for Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.

I made a quick card, lol. I'm such a deadliner. I played too much this week, teehee...

I used:

Spellbinders - Nestabilities - Teardrops Circle

I coloured Tilda with Distress Ink. I haven't used it for a while, so please forgive me for the result, lol.
Then I put laces as her lower dress, added pearls. And somehow, I love the result :)

Then I added much embellishments.

That's it for today :)

Don't forget to join our challenge over Dies R Us Challenge Blog. We would love to see your creations with dies and embossing folder :) Wait you there!!

Have a nice day.

Lots of Love,

Mikha Adriani

Sweet Six

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is a card for my darling niece who is turning 6 today! We've spent some time with my sister's family on a short holiday recently where my niece was fascinated by me colouring this image with my Distress Markers, so I thought she would love it for her birthday.

I stamped Lala Land 'Dress Up Marci' on some thick weight watercolour paper and coloured her with my Distress Markers. I framed her with Docraft Xcut Rectangle Parenthesis #2, and layered her over some ruffled seam-binding ribbon and the Impression Obsession Floral Heart Strip. Isn't she just adorable!

I 'dressed up' the card with the Poppystamps Antique Lamp Post and Memory Box Pretty Pumps before adding a cluster of 6 Impression Obsession Layered Floral Set flowers in the corner. I finished it off with a few glittery rhinestones too.

A brand new challenge starting yesterday over at the Challenge Blog. Challenge #18 is to use and Embossing Folder. Be sure to check it out as there is plenty of exceptional DT creations from the talented Team B. To be in the running for the $10 voucher at the Dies R Us store simply use a die (and Embossing Folder) in your challenge entry.

Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of the ladies on the  Dies R Us inspiration team. Until next week, happy crafting!

Much Appreciated...

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my weekly design for Dies R Us, your online super store for dies! This card started with the Sue Wilson Designs Daisies dies. I enjoy creating with flowers so...
Create an A7 (5x7) card base. Cut a pale designer paper to 4 5/8" x 6 5/8", distress the edges and lightly sponge the edges with a complimentary ink. From white card stock cut the beautiful Austrian Collection Background, from Sue Wilson Designs, and adhere to your designer paper.  Add to card base with foam tape.
From a light pink card stock cut the flowers using Sue Wilson Designs Complete Delicate Daisies; lightly sponge the petals. From white card stock cut flower outline using Sue Wilson Designs Open Delicate Daisies, glue to solid petals and adhere yellow prills to centers. Cut the foliage using Cheery Lynn Olive Branches. Cut out tag using Spellbinders Back to Basics Tags, add sentiment (Tailored Expressions), pearls and adhere to card with foam tape. Arrange greenery and daisies.

Love

Happy Wednesday, friends!

It's hard to believe this month is already half over.  Are you counting down the days until spring?  I certainly am!  Winter is NOT my favorite season!  I'm glad we have Valentine's Day to break up the winter & give us an excuse to make cards & eat chocolate!  Lol

Here is another quick & easy Valentine made with just three dies:  Memory Box Cupid Heart, Impression Obsession Cupids & Poppy Stamps Heart Lattice Background.

This lattice background is amazing & I've found I use it on all kinds of cards, not just Valentines!  If you want a versatile background, think about adding this one to your collection!  It's beautiful in white or pastel shades too & makes a perfect backdrop for floral cards as well!

Don't forget to check out the new challenge beginning tomorrow at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog! Join in on the fun for a chance to win a gift voucher to the store!

I'll be back next week with another bit of inspiration for you!

Princess Feathers

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us was built around this gorgeous dream catcher die, however upon completion I realised that this die is currently 'hidden' in the store due to sales and stocktaking. However there are other similar ones currently available or contact the store to find out if they can get it for you.

Dies used include:
Taylored Expression Dream Catcher

Sassy Studio Designs Princess Feathers Portrait

I coloured in Sassy Studio Designs 'Princess Feathers Portrait' with my Copics and framed her with Docrafts Xcut Rectangle Parenthesis #2 before adding some Antique Ivory Frantage and a swipe of Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I layered her on some designer paper which had also been swiped with ink and distressed before stitching down. Here is a close up of the beautiful image.

Sassy Studio Designs Princess Feathers Portrait

I then used the Taylored Expression Dream Catcher to tie in with the image & the lovely designer papers. Here is a close up of this stunning die.

I hope you've had a chance to check out the other amazing creations from the rest of the members of the Dies R Us Design Team, they are certainly a talented group of people! Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of us again and until next week, happy crafting!

Teacher's Thank You!

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my design of the week for Dies R Us!  Have you seen the new die releases? NO!! Well stop by Dies R Us and you can pre-order the latest and greatest dies for 2015!

It's always nice to have a few teacher thank you notes in your drawer; you never know when you might need one. This card started out as an A2 white card base and then I added a fun striped paper.  The banner is cut using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Party Banner Die , matte silver brads were added to the corners and the banner was added to the card with foam tape. I stamped the chalk board and sentiments (Lawn Fawn) with white ink onto black paper and cut out using Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Rectangles. The chalk board was added with foam tape. The cute heart shape, stamped with an apple, is also from the Stitched Party Banner Die set from Lawn Fawn.

Be sure to check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for our twice monthly challenges! Lots of fun and you could win a gift card to the shop!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Hearts, Hearts & More Hearts!

Hi, again everyone!

Wednesday has rolled around again & it's my turn to share another card to give you some inspiration. I have so many Valentine ideas rolling around in my head based on the amazing dies that Dies R Us has in stock & I want to share another card with you today.  This is a pretty simple card.  Nothing very fussy and EXTREMELY easy to do!  You only need 2 dies for this card, Memory Box Floral Heart and Impression Obsession Mini Heart Row.

I began by cutting a piece of 5 1/2 inch cardstock (the same size as my card base) and laying my mini heart row die along the bottom edge.  I then centered the Memory Box Floral Heart die and proceeded to cut both out at the same time.  I glued my ribbon around the card before adhering the white cardstock to my red card.  Once it was in place, I glued the Memory Box Floral Heart cutout into the negative space it left in the original cut.  Presto!  The card is done!  It's so easy & yet so beautiful.

I hope you have already checked out the inspiration from Mikha & Darlene and don't forget to come back tomorrow & Friday to check out what Robin & Alicia have in store for you!  These gals all have amazing talent & you will get some great ideas!

Check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog too!  A new challenge just started on the first & there is still time to enter for a chance to win a gift voucher to the awesome store!

I'll catch you again next week!  Happy crafting, everyone!!

Snowman Time of Year ...

Hello Dies R Us Friends!
Darlene here to share a new creation with you today and even though we don't have any snow on the ground here in Ohio at the moment ... I KNOW IT'S COMING!!  LOL!

I'm still working at using up the left over holiday pieces & parts that were laying on my work table and by simply adding a few of the fabulous die cuts from our Dies R Us Store, I've created this fun 'wintery' card.

The dies I've used today are:

Wild Rose Studio 'Snow Flurry' #WRS032

As you can see in the following close-up, I've actually cut the 'snow flurry' die into two pieces and positioned one part UNDER the mittens and the remainder on TOP of the mittens die cut.  I've also popped up the mittens for a little dimension.

It's fun to 'think outside the box' with your die cuts!  Just because it cuts in a STRIP ... that doesn't mean you have to use it in just a that long strip form.
Try looking at your die cuts in a new way this year and see 'what else' you can do with them.  Then of course we'd love to have you come share your creations with us at one of our Dies R Us Challenges!  A new theme is posted on the 1st & 15th of each month.

ALERT!   Have you seen all the *NEW* release items available for pre-order now in the store?  GO check it out!  Memory Box ... Poppy Stamps ... Impression Obsession ... Elizabeth Craft ... and more to come!  Hurry ... get your order in!!

Be sure to stop back here each day for new inspiration from the team!
Have a fabulous day!
