Smile

Hey there!
It's Judy here with a colorful card design
using a technique I was inspired by
Jennifer McGuire to try.

This technique can be created using any frame or nesting die sets you may have.

I chose to use
Tutti Designs Stitched Hexagons

I taped the set of 7 dies together and cut 7 times
using bright colors of scrap card stock.

I glued the die cuts onto plain copy paper using
each of the 7 colors and trimmed to create 7 different hexagons.

Next I made a white 5 x 6.5 inch card base
and layered some of the colors used for the hexagons.

Next, I chose 3 of the hexagon pieces and
trimmed 2 of them.
The 2 trimmed pieces were added to the card base.

The 3rd whole piece was layered on top of the trimmed pieces
in the center of the card.

I chose a word die set
Gemini Smile Dies

I cut the background piece in white and the Smile in black.
I added the word die cut with foam tape to the center of the card.
And, at the last minute decided to add some flowers and leaves using
Karen Burniston Flowers & Bees Die Set

I still have all the other hexagon pieces
that I can use on future projects!

I hope I've provided some inspiration for you to
play and create with your dies and we'd love for you
to come and join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.
There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.
