Love Is In The Air

Good morning Dies R Us fans!  Birgit back with you today with a lovely card for your Valentine.
Love is in the air!  Just in time for that special someone for Valentine's day.

I started by cutting out the Impression Obsession LOVE die out of a piece of white card stock that had double sided adhesive over the top so I could add some Elizabeth Craft Silk Microfine Glitter in Basic Black.

I used the same glitter treatment on two of the Memory Box Small Flock of Doves, except I used Antique Silver.

This fabulous heart is Cheery Lynn's Lattice Heart & Vines.  Just look at the amazing detail!  This cut perfectly with one pass through my machine.

Here's all the parts to my card.

I added dimension to the card by using a piece of chipboard under the embossed panel and foam squares under the doves.

Here's a list of die I used that can be found at Dies R Us:

    Perfect Poppies

    Good Monday Morning!
Donna Phelan back again to share a pretty Poppy card with you all!
I must say I just bought this beautiful Row Of Poppies die by Memory Box and this pretty Border Edgers die by Penny Black in mid November and this is the first time I am using them and now they are no longer available, I am writing this post on December 6th.
Things move QUICKLY through our Dies R Us Store, so my advice to you is, if you see something you like BUY IT!!!  Do not dilly dally!
There are many dies that you could use to get this very same look, here are a few:
    Tutti Designs
    Heart Flower Garden

    Impression Obsession
    Floral Heart Strip

    Cheery Lynn Designs
    Southern Charm Valance

    Memory Box
    Albana Border

After die cutting my flowers from water color paper I water colored them using inks in Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi.  I use my regular ink pads and a water brush, this technique works perfectly for me.  I also cut them from a piece of Black card stock and placed them into the negative space, being careful to replace any and all of the Black card stock.  I think this 'inlaid' look is very appealing.

My corner die is Lace Corner Deco H by Cheery Lynn.  A little strip of Designer Paper on the edge and inside for accents and my card is complete.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

    Enjoy~~

    It's a Wrap!

Hello, Janice here with you again to share my latest make

Something a little different from me today - A Chocolate Bar Wrapper!
I think it's nice to give as a small thank you gift to someone or maybe to cheer them up.

I first cut a piece of paper to the size of the chocolate bar - 8"x 6" ensuring the two
edges overlapped to stick together, on the underneath.

Next I ran a green Promarker along each long side and wrapped it around the
chocolate bar, using double sided tape to join together at the back.
With the Sue Wilson Designs - Petite Peony Cluster die, I die cut the larger die in
cream card and the peony die in plum card. This I did twice.
Next I glued the plum peonies behind the cream ones on the flourish.
With the second set, I did exactly the same, but this time I snipped off the foliage.
Using 3D foam pads, I attached them to the flourish.

Next, using the Sizzix - Framelits 'Hello' set of dies and stamps, I stamped
the 'for you' and die cut it with the smaller die of one of the pairs of frames and cut the
larger die in plum card to matt it.

Lastly, I added a couple of punched butterflies and some diamantes to finish.

Here are the dies I have used:-

    Pink and Silver Love

Ann here with a card that can be used for Valentine's Day, a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or to cheer someone up who is sick.

For the background, I cut the Sue Wilson Canadian Collection Background die on silver mirror board.  All those tiny pieces within each flower popped out with just a rub of a finger.  This is what the background die looks like; it comes in two parts -- the larger outer frame and the smaller inside panel:

Sue Wilson Canadian Collection Background CED6201

The Dies R Us Store doesn't currently carry this background die but this one would look nice too.

I layered the background die cut on top of a sheet of pink designer paper.  Then I cut a white rectangle and adhered a piece of the same pink designer paper on top of that.

The "Love" die is the Frantic Stamper Handwritten Love You FRADIE09314.  This die is not currently available in the Dies R Us store but there are several others I could have used.

The tiny hearts are from the Cheery Lynn Designs Special Occasions.  I like the two framed hearts so I cut three of each, adhered them on top of each other for more dimension, then filled in the smallest heart with the center that cut out with it.

    Cheery Lynn Special Occasions B242

This made for a very quick card that I think I will be sending to my parent's for their anniversary.

Remember to check back daily for inspiration from the other design team members.
