Shine! You are Fabulous!

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

I've had a bit of a clean out of the studio & found 3 (thought to be lost) Lala Land stamps! Score!!!
So I did what one would naturally do with an old-but-new-again stamp, I used them - but with a twist. I played again with the white embossing technique :)

I also combined my old-but-new-again stamp with an old-but-rarely-used die the Spellbinders Heart Circle.

Dies used include:

I stamped & embossed in white Lala Lands 'Dress Up Marci' before colouring her with Copics. I framed her (with a little bit of fussy cutting to make the hat overhang the frame) with the Docraft Xcut Rectangle Parenthesis #2 and a swipe of shimmer blue chalk. I layered Marci over a couple of strips of designer paper before tucking in the Spellbinders Heart Circle at the bottom of the stack.

I embossed the 'Shine' sentiment with metallic blue powder and added a pennant too. I still felt like it was off balance so I used the Die-Versions Crochet Lace & the Doohickey Doily Flower to add a little more detail.

Our last challenge closed yesterday over at the Challenge Blog, however our 9th challenge will be starting on September 1. The theme will be 'Back to School'. There are plenty of awesome DT creations from the talented Team A. To be in the running for the $10 voucher at the Dies R Us store just use a die in your challenge entry. So get your craft on & make something over the weekend!

Until next Friday, happy crafting!

A Touch of Fall

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration of the week for Dies R Us, your on line super store for dies! Maybe I was just wishing but when I went for my walk this morning I thought there was a touch of Fall in the air. Who knows; maybe I just want this drought we are having finally OVER!

I started with a tall vertical card base with a bottom opening. The beautiful tree die I used is Memory Box Yorkshire Tree and Yorkshire Tree Background. The tree was cut from kraft card stock and I used a pattern paper for the leaves. After adhering the the two parts of the tree together I placed the tree on a contrast green card stock that I machine stitched along the edges. The tree layer was placed on the card base using 3D foam. I stamped the sentiment on a homemade label, added bakers twine and finished the card with nail heads.

I hope you have enjoyed my design for the week and please visit all our Design Team members weekly inspirations.

Don't forget our bi-monthly challenge!!! You have the opportunity to win a gift certificate to the Dies R Us shop. Just go to our Dies R Us Challenge blog and see what our next theme will be, make a card or paper project, up load it to our gallery and who knows, you might be the next winner!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Home Sweet Home

Hello Dies R Us Fans!
Darlene here and today I'm playing with one of the many new Darice Embossing Folders now being carried at our Dies R Us Store.  SO many to choose from, they emboss BEAUTIFULLY and the price is unbelievable (most under $5)! At these prices, I'm thinking these will be a perfect holiday surprise for a few of my crafting friends!!

Today's card has no ink, no markers, no design paper, no digi images, no stamped images ... but what it does have are these fabulous items from our STORE:

I am in need of some 'Welcome Home' type cards for my upcoming craft shows and I think this will work quite nicely!!  Maybe even the same style in various colors ... red for 'Cardinals' ... yellow for 'Gold Finch'.   These embossing folders emboss so beautifully I really hated to cover up any part of the beautiful image.

Please be sure to pop over to the store to see ALL the new companies/product that has been added to our inventory!  And while you're there, be sure to sign up for our Newletter (if you haven't already) so you don't miss out on the latest additions, sales and special orders that are sometimes only public to those receiving the newletter notification.

And REMEMBER ... there's still time to play along in our current challenge at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog!
Hope to see you there!

I'll be back next week to share more die cutting inspiration fun.
And, one of my team mates will be here each weekday to share THEIR creative style with you!
So until then . . .

You Make My Heart Sing!

Greetings Dies R Us friends.

This week's inspirational card I've tried out a new technique!

Here is my gorgeous image, which was simply stamped with white embossing powder prior to colouring with Copics. After embossing just colour as normal. I just love this effect! It give such great highlights & contrast.

I've frame Tilda with the Spellbinders Curved Rectangles and layered over some coordinating papers. I've ruffled/pleated some black washi tape before layering up.

I've used a double cut of the Poppystamps Simple Banner with some glitter cardstock to make the colours pop, and finally I've used the Memory Box Pretty Pumps with one of the Impression Obsession Spiral Flowers to match the image.

If you haven't already popped over to join in the fun of our Challenge Blog, our 8th challenge is currently running. The theme is Stitching (real or faux). There are plenty of awesome DT creations from the talented Team A, and it is open until August 28. To be in the running for the $10 voucher at the Dies R Us store just use a die in your challenge entry.

Until next Friday, happy crafting!

Simply Elegant

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my weekly design for Dies R Us, your online super store! I am amazed by all the background dies we have to choose from.

This die does it all! No need to embellish or add much to finish this elegant card! The Elliana Background die, from Memory Box was cut from a dark brown CS and then lightly sprayed with Pewter Perfect Pearls. I glued the die cut to a complimentary piece of printed paper, attached a simple grosgrain ribbon and adhered to my kraft paper card base.

A simple floral element was stamped along with my sentiment, A Special Wish and then both were cut out using Spellbinders Classic Ovals. I can see using the Elliana die for so many occasions; it would be beautiful for a white on white project!

Please check out our challenge blog, we have two challenges a month with different themes. The theme for this month, challenge two, is Stitching. Don't be left out, send us an image of your card that uses dies and stitching, you could be one of our monthly winners!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

A Little Head Start!

Hi, there friends!

Another Wednesday has rolled around again and today we are going to get a head start on Christmas! If you are like me, I always have great intentions of starting my Christmas cards early enough to be done well before December even arrives.  With all the amazing new dies out there, it is finally easy to create beautiful cards in the blink of an eye!  Here, for example, is a great card created with just three dies:
Cheery Lynn Merry Christmas Sentiments, Memory Box Shining Candles & Spellbinders Mystical Embrace.

I wanted a country feel to this card, but you could just as easily do it in beautiful, glossy or embossed papers.  The great thing about dies is you get to decide the final look!

I hope this has given you the urge to make a few Christmas cards of your own! Check out the store as you will find endless choices at the best prices anywhere!

Don't forget to check out the Challenge Blog too! We would LOVE to have you enter & play along!

Until next week, happy crafting!

A Dies R Us ... Merry Christmas!

Hello Friends and thanks for stopping by!
Darlene here and it's my turn once again to share an inspirational creation with you using dies & etc. from the Dies R Us Store.  I've recently received some of the fabulous new Christmas dies available so that's the direction I took for today's card.

The items from the Dies R Us Store are:

The background panel was done on white cardstock and sponged using Memento 'Bamboo Leaves' green ink over this beautiful Memory Box Christmas stencil.
The bells were actually cut 3 times.  Once in white so I could color the ribbons/holly with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, 2nd time with blue shiny paper for the bells and the 3rd time with silver shiny paper for the inlays on the bells.
SO MANY things you could do with this die!!

Have you started your holiday cards yet?

Spring Goddess

Greetings Dies R Us friends.

This week's inspirational card I've focused on all things feminine (ribbon, roses and pearls).

Dies used are:

Rick St Dennis Spring Goddess

I've used the 'Spring Goddess' image from Rick St Dennis and coloured her with my Copics. I framed her with the Docrafts Xcut Rectangle Parenthesis 2 and layered her on a couple of coordinating designer papers. The papers and ribbon have been stitched and the gorgeous Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms have been added to highlight the roses in both the image and the papers.

Rick St Dennis Spring Goddess

I've finished the card with a splash of Liquid Pearls in some swirls (although they are a little difficult to see) and some other larger pearls, placed randomly over the card.

If you haven't already popped over to join in the fun of our Challenge Blog, there is a brand new challenge starting today. The new theme is Stitching (real or faux). There are plenty of awesome DT creations from the talented Team A, and it is open until August 28. It's Never too early!

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration of the week for Dies R Us!  It's almost the middle of August, where did this year go! I am seriously thinking Christmas cards, NOW! I know how my time disappears the closer we get to the holidays, so this would be a great time to get all my cards made, addressed and stamped!!! If you need to make cards quickly, look to the many large background dies that Dies R Us carries!

The die I used for my design today is Merry Christmas To All by Memory Box.  I used a pretty Christmas red for the die cut and then cut again from white.  I used the negative space, from the white CS, as the top of my card, backed it with vellum and then glued my Merry Christmas on top. I used a chunky red and white bakers twine for the simple bow, added a few sparkly embellishments and then added the top, using foam tape, to my card base. ALL DONE, woo hoo!!!

There are many more large background dies for the upcoming holidays in our store, so check them out! Plus, shipping is FREE for orders $35 and over!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Shop Till You Drop!

Hello again, friends!

While trying to decide just what kind of a card I would share with all of you today, I decided to go with one that is dear to my heart!  "SHOP TILL YOU DROP!"  Yup!  We have all done it, haven't we?  Sometimes you just feel a little down & need a bit of cheering up and sometimes you shop just because you are feeling so great!  I got this great Penny Black stamp on vacation last month & thought it would be a great card to use to enclose a gift card.  And  since it also included a cat image, I had to have it!

I only used 2 dies on this card. The image was cut with Spellbinders Adorning Squares and the beautiful floral corner is Magnolia Doo Hickey Flower Swirl Corner.

And since we are talking about shopping till you drop.......you REALLY need to stop by the Dies R Us store, even if you were just there.  Dani is adding on so many new products you won't be able to keep up with them!  Just when I think I have all the things I really, really want, we have added something else that I just can't live without!  Don't forget the low prices & the fabulous shipping either!

Enjoy the rest of your week & be sure you have checked out all the daily inspirations posted on our Inspiration Blog as well as the great challenges on our twice a month challenge blog!

Happy shopping!!!!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow ...

OMG What am I saying?
I must be delirious from viewing all those fabulous new dies, embossing folder, etc. available at our Dies R Us Store!  WOWZA ... the list of companies available to you just keeps growing & growing!  F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!

Hello Dies R Us Fans!
It's Darlene back with another card to share using some of the wonderful products available at our STORE.  Today I'm getting started on some winter/holiday creations.

The store items I have used on today's card are:

Other product used:
White cardstock, Silver Matte Metallic paper
Tim Holtz 'Tumbled Glass' Distress Ink,
large sponge dauber, pop dots

This card was so much fun to create!  After sponging around this wonderful Memory Box snowflake stencil, I got a little adventurous with the 'shadowing' technique I used for the mittens.

I had actually die cut the mittens from a variety of papers for future cards and after laying the die cut onto my already sponged background, I decided the mittens needed some shading so I grabbed one of the die cut pieces of cardstock from the trash ... placed it in the center of my panel and placed post it notes around the edge so as not to get ink someplace I didn't want it.

This is what I got when I was finished sponging my 'hand cut stencil' ...
Now mind you, I could have stopped right there ... for this is beautiful in itself.
BUT ... that will have to wait for another time and another card because I had something else already in mind for today's creation!

I just LOVE this Memory Box Snowflake Corner and think it really gave my card corners wonderful dimension.  I must admit, I was really feeling creative today and I think that had to do with all the fun and fabulous dies that are available today and you won't find a better price or shipping rate than the one offered at our Dies R Us Store.

Remember to sign up for our Newsletter to be informed of all the latest deals, pre-orders and fun going on at Dies R Us.  And PLEASE ... don't forget about our Challenge Blog ... a new challenge (with a prize) is posted on the 1st and 15th of each month.  I hope you'll come join in the fun!

Well that's it for me today!  Please come back tomorrow to see what Sherri has created to inspire you!  For that matter ... stop back each day of the work week for new inspiration from each member of our Inspiration Team.
Monday - Mikha
Tuesday - little old me
Wednesday - Sherri
Thursday - Robin
Friday - Alicia

I seem to be the 'long winded one' of the group, lol!
Thanks for sticking with me to the end!
Till next Tuesday ...

Be happy, be bright, be you!

Greetings Dies R Us friends.

My daughter is such a popular girl who gets invited to numerous friends birthday parties. She loves to be able to choose which card to give to her friend and this is the latest addition to the ever growing pile.

Dies used include:
(wow, I didn't start off with all of them in mind!)

My Besties Sherry Baldy Primrose Polly

I've used a super cute My Besties stamp called 'Primrose Polly' and coloured her in Copics. I've used the Spellbinders Label One to frame her and also to cut two coordinating papers with the same die, layered beneath. I've also used the Spellbinders Classic Oval to add another paper layer.

I've embellished this card with numerous individual dies from different sets. I coordinated the Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and Impression Obsession Spiral Flowers to match the flowers in the papers and layered them over one from the Spellbinders Floral Flourishes set.

My Besties Sherry Baldy Primrose Polly

I finished this card with two more embellishments, the Poppystamps Simple Banner and the Magnolia Doohickey Swirly Butterfly, plus a splash of bling with a few rhinestones and sheer ribbon.

If you haven't already popped over to the shop swing by to get all of these dies (& oh so much more!). And if you are like me you will love the free shipping on all orders over $50 for international shipments and just $35 for all domestic ones too.

Until next week, happy crafting!

Lavender Bees

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration of the week for Dies R Us! I have been having fun lately using multiple colors of ink on one stamp. I'm actually getting the hang of it and am loving the results! My card started out by stamping Gathered Blooms by Memory Box with Distress markers in shades of lavender and green.

I cut the stamped image and contrast using Spellbinders Large Labels.  My card base was cut with a bottom opening; I then cut off 3/8" from the front and added Washi Tape to the inside of the card. I quarter rounded the corners to match the stamped image.

The cute bees are Memory Box Jolly Bumblebees and I used vellum for their wings! The card was finished with Memory Box A Little Thanks word die. This card was very easy to put together!

Don't forget…at Dies R Us shipping is FREE on orders over $35 in the US and $50 for international orders! We also have a super fun challenge blog AND you could win a gift certificate to Dies R Us!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

A Little Birdie Told Me...

Happy Wednesday!

It's hard to believe another one has rolled around already, but that means it's time for a little bit of inspiration from me today!  I bet you are already full of wonderful ideas you have gotten from visiting our blog earlier in the week.  Don't forget to check back each day for more inspiration!

Today's card is one that would be suitable for a man's birthday, and we all know how hard those are to find! The minute I saw these cute birds on a wire, I knew they would make a perfect "guy" card!

This card was made using just 3 dies:  Spellbinders Elegant Ovals, Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders Two and Spellbinders Birds on A Wire.   I cut the scalloped border with one of the less feminine edges. There are 7 dies in the set & your choices are endless by combining them.
I also like to decorate the inside of my cards, so I used the bottom I cut from my designer paper as an edge inside. By adding the 2nd line of birds to the inside, you carry the theme throughout the entire card.

I hope this has given you even more ideas of your own!  And if you check out all the new additions to the store, I'm sure you will get even more ideas!  We have more dies than anyone out there & the best prices too!  Happy shopping!

See you next week!!

A day in the life of a cat . . .

Happy Tuesday Dies R Us Fans!
Darlene with you once again, hoping to inspire you with using die cuts on your card/project creations.  Today's card was easy and fun to make.
I created this little 'scene' using the Die-namites 'Spring Window' die about a month ago and finally got it off my work table and onto a card front.

By simply using a white piece of cardstock, I lightly sponged blue ink over it to create the look of a sky.  Next I adhered my die cut to the sky paper panel and fussy cut around the outside edge.  I used my Spectrum Noir DR5 alcohol marker to color in the birdhouse.  Such a fun and cute little scene and one I'm sure all your cat lovers have seen first hand!
Here's the entire card ...

I love the silhouette look so kept everything else on my card in black and white.  Here are the other Dies R Us products I have used today:
Tattered Lace 'Kensington Corner' #D318

I've used pop dots to add dimension to the cat in the window as well as the cat that is walking away.  Offray black satin ribbon, a small tie of Offray black organza ribbon and a Martha Stewart bird punched black bird are my only other embellishments.

I hope you'll come join us at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog and show us what YOU'VE created using die cuts.  And by all means, pop on over to the Dies R Us store ... there are some fabulous sales going on and I'm sure you'll see something you just can't live without!

TIP:  There are frequent SURPRISE SALES posted in our newsletter ... so be sure you are signed up and don't miss out on these fabulous sales and pre-orders.

I'll be back again next Tuesday but be sure to stop by each day Monday through Friday to see what my amazingly talented team mates have created for you!  Till then ...

And here's the full knot from the back of the card.

Handy Tools

Greetings Dies R Us friends.

My card this week is for my handy brother in law, who's sure to get a tickle from this Sassy image and sentiment!

Dies used on this card include:

I've used the Sassy Studio Designs Hand Sassy and coloured her in Copics. I've layered her on a Spellbinders Standard Circles to help the green pop and to also cut out the sentiment, which I sponged with chalk after embossing.

I've used the Spellbinders Label One for a couple of coordinating panels. I've use the Die-Versions Sweet Petite Socket and the Memory Box Antique Gear Set on some glitter/shimmer cardstock to add some tools to the page, which have been tied down with a bit of twine.

If you haven't already popped over to the shop swing by to get all of these dies (& oh so much more!). And if you are like me you will love the free shipping on all orders over $50 for international shipments and just $35 for all domestic ones too.

Until next week, happy crafting!
