Sweet Friend

Donna Phelan back again.

I have a sweet little floral card to share with you today.

I used the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Tags and stamped my Hydrangea image and sentiment in Raven Black ink.  Copic Markers for coloring.
Sakura Glaze Pen for flower centers.  My background card stock uses the Circle Link Embossing Folder.  Designer Papers by My Minds Eye and Echo Park.

I used the Penny Black Border Edgers to create a bit of interest on the right side of my card.  This particular die is unavailable at this time, beautiful dies move in and out of the Dies R Us Store so quickly, so if you see something you like BUY IT!  lol  There are more to choose from, here are a few pretty Border Dies.  I added Adhesive Pearls to the center of the die cut flowers, which were colored with Copic Markers. Oops and now I notice that bottom one fell off...don't you just hate that?!?!  It will be fixed prior to mailing!  ;)

A Snow Globe Christmas Card

I used to love Snow Globes when I was a little girl.  So when this die set was released, I knew I would be buying it.  It is a set from Elizabeth Craft Designs called 1410 - Snow Globe

                                                              So let's make this card!

I cut the globe die pc. 4 times.  I cut 2 from white cardstock and one from brown cardstock. The last one was cut with a transparency.  On one of the white ones I colored a sky with PanPastels Ultra Marine Blue.

I cut both the "house" and the "church" from white cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.  I adhered both to a pc. of yellow cardstock and trimmed the excess off to look as if the lights were on.

I cut all of the trees from white cardstock and colored the bottom of each with a little green Copic Marker.

I cut the snowflakes with white cardstock and added a little sparkle with some clear Wink of Stella.

Cut the Noel pc. with silver mirror cardstock.

Cut "Merry Christmas" from this die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs 944 - Merry Christmas from silver mirror cardstock.

Elizabeth Craft Designs - Merry Christmas

Assemble the globe by adhering the white globe that you colored a sky to the brown one.  Now, create your little scene by adding the white pc. that is the snowy hill.  Add the house, church and trees as you like.
Cut the base part off the transparency globe and adhere it over your little scene to look like glass.  There are several circle dies in the set.  I nested two circle dies to make the white border.  Adhere this white border next over the transparency.  Now adhere this completed globe to the brown one and then add the silver Noel pc. to the stand.
Make a base card by scoring a 8.5 x 11" pc. of white cardstock at 5.5".  Fold over and trim to a 5.5" square.  Make a 5" square from some designer paper and adhere to the front.  Now adhere the finished globe to the card and the "Merry Christmas" sentiment.  That's it.  I hope you'll give this adorable die set a try!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you'll come back tomorrow for more inspiration from the team.

Thinking Of You!

Happy Sunday everyone! It's Rosie here today sharing this card using one of the Gorjuss Girl dies. I LOVE these characters so when they came out with dies that allow you to make your own paper dolls I had to buy every single one! I paired her with the Sue Wilson Circle Scene-Garden Die to create this fabulous scene card.

++++++++++++++++++++++++
The links to all of the products used from the Dies R Us Store are shown below. Here is a step-by-step of how I created this card.

The first step was to cut out all the pieces for the paper doll. I decided to cut some of the pieces from white and color them in to get more depth to my image. I also colored parts of the cut-outs in black so that when I layered the pieces there wouldn't be a white border.

The next step was to start gluing the pieces together. These dies do not have step-by-step instructions so I hope this tutorial gives you a better idea of how to layer all the pieces. I glued the large hair piece behind the main image since that is the back part of her hair. Then the blue bottom portion of her dress goes on top of the main doll form. On the 2nd body form I glued on the dress. On the head, I glued the headband to the hair piece first and then glued her hair to the face cut-out.

Next, I glued the dress/leggings cut-out to the top of the main body.

Finally her face and bow were glued on.

To create the card, I used the Sue Wilson Circle Scene-Garden Die Set. The great thing about the fence, grass, and flower dies is that you can form a long continuous piece because the ends are not scored to cut the paper! Then you can come back in and line up the circle die to cut it where you want. Or if you want to use it to create a scene on a rectangle or square card, you have that option because you can keep layering the die to make a long continuous piece....AWESOME!

To create the circle scene, I cut out two circles from watercolor paper and colored in some sky and grass. The 2nd circle was used to cut out the grassy panel at the bottom of the card.

And....here is the completed card! I raised the girl and sentiment on foam squares for added dimension.
