Crate Full of Flowers

It's so exciting to have Spring here!  Over the past several weeks, everything bloomed, the weather has been gorgeous and there's color in my world again - yay!!  To celebrate, I pulled several dies from the Elizabeth Craft and Karen Burniston lines.

To start, I cut kraft cardstock using the Wooden Fruit Crate from Elizabeth Crafts.  Love this die!  It's such a great country-looking crate and so unique.

The next step, I used Karen Burniston's Flowers and Bee dies to cut all the pretty flower pieces, leaves and bee.  What an awesome set!  I know I'll be using this one alot -- there are so many color schemes to go with!

Then came the really fun part (seriously, I enjoyed this!)...putting the crate of blooms together!!  I used a Zig 2-way Glue Pen, Thermoweb 3d Foam Squares to add dimension/pop up the die cuts and Thermoweb Small Clear Zots here and there as I arranged the flowers and leaves.

To create the card, I layered on the base a pattern paper design  from this beautiful Echo Park 6x6 paper pad: Welcome Home.  I adhered my flower crate then added the tiny red flowers and bee from the Flowers and Bee set and the 'Thinking of You' sentiment from Karen Burniston's Greetings word set.
