Make A Wish

Good Morning, Donna Phelan back again.

I've been thinking a lot about card making and I have finally figured out, I love to make Birthday Cards.  You can use any images, any dies....just sit down and start creating!  Here's what I came up for today!

I cut a piece of white card stock and using a Dove Gray ink I stamped my background foliage.  To soften the look a bit more, I added a piece of Vellum on top.  Perfect!  My sentiment is stamped in Raven Black ink.  I also added a bit of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Dandelion on my sentiment strip.  Yellow Candy Dots in each corner of my Vellum layer.

Next I cut out these BEAUTIFUL Elizabeth Craft Designs Dies Dandelion Fluff from Yellow card stock.  I sponged on a bit of More Mustard ink to the ends, this gives them a bit of depth and dimension.    Now here's a little trick, when using Vellum and you don't want your glue or glue dots to show, just cover them up.  I used the Tutti Designs Dies Nesting Stitched Banners to do just that.  Then I simply topped them with big Enamel Brads.  Honeycomb and Black and White Striped Designer Papers.

I think these Dandelion Fluff are really FUN!  Remember as a kid, you would find them, blow and make a wish?  Oh to simpler times!  :)

Here's what I used:

  2. This birthday card design could be used for anyone. Male or female. It is so soft and pretty, but I love the punch of yellow on the gray.
