Fall Country Cottage Birthday

The colors of fall just can't be beat by any other season!  Birgit with you today,  here in Maine it's pumpkin picking time so I've got a festive  birthday card to celebrate those who are blessed to have a birthday in the fall.

Here's a snapshot of the products I used today:

I started by cutting Dee's Distinctively Dies Small Winter Cottage out of cream colored cardstock.
I added color using Copic markers and Distress Ink and then assembled the cottage.  Just because a die is labeled "winter" doesn't mean it has to be used for just that.  Think outside the box when you're using your dies for other ways to use them.  The snow capped roof makes a perfect thatched roof for a country cottage, don't you think?

Next, cut Dee's Distinctively Dies Tree Base 1 out of cream cardstock and add color using Brushed Corduroy and Antique Linen Distress Inks.

Cut Poppystamps Stitched Pumpkins and Stitched Pumpkin Leaves out of cream cardstock and add color using Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Crushed Olive Distress Inks.

Cut Frantic Stamper Stitched Grassy Hill Edgers out of green cardstock and create your scene.  I stamped a plaid background for a fun and unique look in the sky.   The sentiment is heat embossed in gold.

I hope you're inspired by today's project.  Don't forget to join in on all the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit
