Leaves falling, swirling every where

Colleen from Scrappin Granny here with a great fall card.  This card is so easy and fun to make and using some different techniques as well.

This card is made from scraps from my scrap pile, don't we all have scraps leftover from other projects?

These are the Cheery Lynn Designs, small leaves 2 dies I used for all of these leaves and the acorns.

I started by using my biggest piece of scrap as the background and then I die cut lots of leaves
because I wasn't sure what color I wanted to use.

I used brown ink to ink the edges of the leaves and also a gold and/or brown ink pen to draw in the veins in the leaves.  If you get carried away making lots of leaves like I did, inking and drawing the veins on is something you can so while watching TV.

Also, here is a second way that you can get veins in your leaves.  First you ink your die up with ink, I chose to use the brown and orange ink.  After you have it inked up put it down on your paper and cut it out.  It is faster this way so it all depends on the look that you to achieve.

Next step was to use the 2 biggest dies to cut out the leaves from a strip of paper.  After I had them all cut out, I took brown ink and inked around the edges of the leaves.

Next you will ink around the edges of the leaf cut out and then pick out what color leaf you want to insert into your shape. Add glue to the back of your leave and line it up with the shape of the leaf cut and adhere it in place. I went with the red leaves for a punch of color.  To finish the card I used velvet ribbon and twine.  Added some acorns to finish off the card and the sentiment at the top.  This die set is so versatile, please check it out at the store.
