For Someone Special

Hi Everyone!
Darlene with you today sharing a creation for your inspiration, using dies from the Dies R Us Store.  If you've not popped over to the Dies R Us Store recently, DO IT NOW!  So many newly released dies that you won't want to miss out on.

I've used new & old dies today and was attempting to use up some of the scraps I've had laying around on my work table.  For instance, the blue frame ... left over from an earlier project using Spellbinder 'Pierced Rectangles' SCD-012 dies .  The gold & green background panel for my sentiment is a Sue Wilson die set ... Canadian Collection - Toronto - CED6204.  Again using up scraps to die cut my panels.

I just recently purchased this Cheery Lynn Designs sentiment die, 'For Someone Special' #B788 ... could be used in so many applications!!  TIP:  I have found when using this type of die, it looks really cool if you put a 'shadow' panel behind it by making a second cut from a darker paper.

So easy, yet so effective!!  Give it a try!!

Please remember, each an every day of the month there's a new inspiration sample shared on the blog by this fabulous design team.  Please be sure to pop in regularly.

And, don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

  1. I got on the FRIENDS OF DIES R US PINTEREST PAGE and it is in another language. Can I ask why? And how do I translate it into English. Are Dies R Us dies made in the USA?

    1. Hello, I am Connie one of the design team members, I just went on to the Pinterest page to check and for me it is all in English, so I am not sure why yours is showing up that way unless there is a setting on your computer doing that. But I will contact our Coordinator that is a little more computer savy and see what she might think it could be.

    2. Hello Nana and Papa ... I'm not sure what was going on when you clicked into our Friends of Dies R Us Pinterest Page but it seems to be fine now and in English as it is set to be. As far as where the dies are made ... it depends on the actual COMPANY ... some are USA and some are not. Dies R Us carries a large variety of company dies so it is dependent upon which company you are referring to. Thanks so much for stopping by and please come back often!
