You Donut Even Know

 Hi Dies R Us Fans!

Today I am sharing a cute birthday card made with darling Mama Elephant products that are available in the Dies R Us store.  Here is my card:

What I Used to Make my Card:
White Card Base
Watercolor Paper
Zig
Clean Color Brush Markers
Gina K Amalgam Ink Pad in Obsidian Ink
Hero Arts Ultra Fine White Embossing Powder
Light Purple Card
Sizzix/Tim Holtz Beaded Garland Embossing Folder, #660041
Mama Elephant Donut Treats Stamps
Mama Elephant Donut Treats Dies
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive
Half Pearls {stash}
Dimensional Dots

I began this card by stamping, coloring and cutting out the mice and the donuts.  Setting them aside, I embossed a piece of light purple card {there are SO many embossing folders available in the Dies R Us store; I have some on order but haven't gotten them yet} using an embossing folder and then embossed the sentiment using ultra fine white embossing powder.

I used some pastel colored half pearls I had in my stash to add some interest and to act as some sprinkles on the donuts, gluing them down with adhesive. Lastly, I used dimensional dots to attach the elements and then glued the the entire piece onto a white card base.  Between the embossing folder, the half pearls and the dimensional dots this card has a lot of character, but it was difficult to get a good picture of both the front and of the dimension so I have included a view that shows it all off.  Just click on the picture and it should open up in another screen big enough to see.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope the world is opening up a bit where you are but please, stay safe! See you soon and until next time, happy crafting! Christi

“Our Friendship” Galaxy Background Card

“Our Friendship” Galaxy Background Card

Hi Guys! I'm Debbie from Debbie J’s Crafting Corner, here today sharing how I created this card with a galaxy background and images from the “Upon a Star” stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I love showing the process when I’m creating.  I hope my tutorial and video help you see that, if I can make it, You Can Too!

I used the following stamps and dies from Dies R Us:

Lawn Fawn - Upon A Star Stamps

Lawn Fawn - Upon A Star Dies

Lawn Fawn - Grassy Hillside Borders Dies

Check out the video showing how I created this adorable card!

I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color in the adorable fox and bunny images and fussy cut each of them out.

Then I heat embossed some fun constellations onto a galaxy background that I made earlier this week for a LiveStream on my YouTube channel.

I used WOW Embossing ink and White detail embossing powder from Recollections.

The little family needs something to sit on, so I cut a little hill using one of the dies from the Grassy Hillside Borders Dies set from Lawn Fawn, and added a little texture to the hill with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink.

I adhered the grass to the galaxy panel with a tape runner and trimmed the entire panel down to 3 ¾ x 4 ¾.  This will leave a nice border when it’s added to a card base.

Next, we need a sentiment.  I placed the panel in my stamp platform and positioned the characters where I thought I’d add them later.  Then I lined up the sentiments on the grassy hillside using one of the tools in the Misti Creative Corners set.

After using my anti-static tool again, I stamped out the sentiments in Wow Embossing ink and added the same white embossing powder as before.

I love how the white pops once it’s heated.

Then I adhered the little family to the front of the panel with Art Glitter Glue.

Before adhering the front panel, I also heat embossed some of the constellations and one of the bunnies onto the inside of the card.

Then I adhered the front panel with foam tape for dimension.

💥Quick Tip: use liquid adhesive on your foam tape to make it easier to position your panel.

As a finishing touch, I added a few crystals from my stash.

Here are some photos of the finished card.

Elegant Embossed Christmas Cards with Tutti Designs!

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's Rosie here today showing how I created these elegant, embossed Christmas cards using Tutti Designs Dies. They came together pretty quickly, and I think they would be perfect as boxed sets to give to family and friends.

Here is how I created them!

Step 1: I die-cut the Tutti Designs Fir Trees Arch Scene (this die is sold out now, but you can really use any of their dies for these cards) and Viney Christmas Tree from white cardstock.

Step 2: Next, I used a makeup brush and gently rubbed Versamark Embossing Ink over the die-cut.

Step 3: On this die-cut I poured Gold Embossing Powder over the top.

Step 4: I shook off the excess and used my heat gun to heat the gold embossing powder.

Step 5: Now this is where the magic happens. I repeat the process and rub the die again with Versamark, add more embossing powder on top and heat set it a 2nd time. You will get a thicker and smoother texture to your embossed die!

Step 6: I did the same thing to the Fir Trees Arch Scene, but this time I used Silver Embossing Powder. I also used silver on the Lawn Fawn Merry Christmas Border Die.

Step 7: I decided to create 5 x 7 cards to showcase these embossed dies. The card base is 5 x 7. The silver and gold paper are cut to 4.5 x 6.5. The top panels are 4.25 x 6.25.

Tip: If you can't find silver or gold metallic paper, cut some white cardstock, rub the edges with Versamark, pour embossing powder along the edges and heat emboss. You now have embossed paper. :)

Step 8: I then glued the embossed die-cuts to the top panel, and put the rest of the card together using Scor-Tape. You want to use Best Glue Ever or Art Glitter Glue with the Fineline Applicator Tip to get a thin line on your intricate die cuts.

Here are the products I used:

Tutti Designs Viney Christmas Tree Die

Tutti Designs Fir Trees Arch Scene Die
(sold out, but you can use any Tutti Die)

Lawn Fawn Merry Christmas Border Die
(sold out, but you can use any Merry Christmas Die)

Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad

No Prob-llama

Howdy my crafty peeps!  Kristina H. here today with something totally *not* holiday related!  Don't get me wrong, I love all the great holiday cards but I needed a break.  Without further ado, I bring you Lorenzo the Llama!

Isn't he just absolutely the cutest???  I cut him out of X-Press It white paper and colored him up using Copic markers.  Who says die cuts have to be plain?  I used E41, 42, 43 and 44 to color the main portions of the body.  I added a little R00 on his cheeks and the inside of his ears.  For the muzzle area I used W1, 3 and 5.  For his hooves I used W7 and for his eyes I used a blue Prismacolor pencil.

To build the card I started by cutting out the purple patterned with a rectangle die from Lawn Fawn.  I glued it to a purple card base.  The llama paper I cut down to 4 1/4" wide and then ran it through my Big Kick with the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders.  I believe I used the middle sized hillside.  I glued this down to the purple patterned layer.  I decided where Lorenzo ought to be on the card and used a Copic marker to add a bit of shading underneath before gluing him in place.  The shading helps to ground him to the hillside.

I used a die from the Frantic Stamper Long Special Bubbles set to cut out the mustard patterned paper.  The sentiment is from the Frantic Stamper Llama sentiments set which was one of the special order items available on the website.  They frequently have special order dies and other items available.  Make sure to sign up for the newsletter to always be in the know!  I stamped it with black Versafine ink and sprinkled it with clear embossing powder.  I used my heat tool to melt the clear powder.  I added some foam tape to the back of the bubble and adhered it to the purple paper.

It might be hard to see in the photo but the purple paper has some gorgeous purple foil details.  I wanted to spruce the card up a little more and kind of fill some of the area that I felt was too open.  I dug through my stash of sequins and found a purple that matched and some smaller sparkling clear sequins.  I used a dot of liquid glue to adhere them randomly on the card.  And we have a finished card!
