Autumn Leaves Cards

Hi everyone, Steph back with another project for Dies R Us.
I know it's still Summer, but I've got Autumn on my mind soI've created 2 Autumn themed cards.

Using the Tutti Leaves Background die, I die cut Graphic 45 pattern paper.  With the colors in the pattern paper, the leaves really stand out.

Using the Tutti Designs Cross Stitching Nesting Ovals, I die cut the sentiment from the same pattern paper plus a larger oval from cardstock.

Creating cards from cardstock, I adhered the die cut panels to each.

Using 3D foam squares, I adhered the sentiments in the center of each panel..

Pop-up Sleigh

Hello and welcome back crafting friends. Lena here today sharing a Christmas card and wishing you and your loved ones the very best during this festive season and an awesome 2019!
Now on to my card!  It's Christmas Eve so I thought what better way to celebrate than to share a card with you featuring a pop up sleigh :-)

We all have those beautiful paper pads that are almost too pretty to use. Because of this, you don't want to cover them up with too many embellishments, right?  Well this is where a few simple dies come into play.
As you see I kept the front of the card very simple by just adding the Santa's Sleigh and Reindeer from Cheery Lynn Dies.

And then when you open the card, there is some more of the pretty paper, but most importantly a pop-up surprise :-)  In order to make this pop-up sleigh, I used the Sleigh Pop-up die from Karen Burniston.
Here is a link to Karen's tutorial video on how to put this pop-up together. And you can actually use it in two different ways:  the traditional pop-up as I show in this card, AND as a stand alone pop-up.
For my greeting and to take up a bit of the empty space I cut a sentiment mat using the Label Ornament die from Precious Merieke.

Here is a close up of the sleigh. If you watch Karen's video, you will find other versions of this card and other ways on how to use these dies.  It's really very good value for your money.  Each die set consists of 9 dies.

For a quick recap of the materials I used, here is a list with links to the Dies R Us store for your convenience.

Cross Flower Die Cut Card by Melinda

Hello Dies R Us Friends!
Melinda here with you today and I am super excited to share my second project with you!  Here is what I came up with.

My card is an A2 size card. I started with a white cardstock base. I then cut a piece of black cardstock for the mat. I embossed the mat.

The focal point of my card are these adorable flowers that I created. I used the Cheapo Cross Die to make them. Here's how:

I started by cutting the shape out of some white cardstock. Here you can see how I initially cut the die apart. I cut it out several times for all the layers I would need.

Next, I used the three similar shaped points and adhered them to a little circle. I used 5 of them to create one layer.

I then used 5 more and glued them to the same circle. I staggered them between the "petals" of the first layer.

I repeated this process for a third layer. I then gently curled the layers to give them a little shape. I then used some of the pink cat's eye pigment ink to brush some pink onto the petals to give them a soft color tint. For my finished flowers I did end up trimming off the little points at the tips of the petals, but here you can see how the "flower" would look with them on.

I also added a pearl and some stickles to finish the centers of the flowers. I used the long piece of the die cut for the leaves. I inked them with some of the    cat's eye pigment ink pad. I then mounted the flowers on a mat using my rectangle scalloped stitch die. I cut it out of white and then cut a corresponding mat in yellow cardstock.

Here's a closer look at the little sentiment I created. I added a pearl accent for a little extra pizazz.

Here's a view of the embossed mat. It is very subtle but very nice. I also used some patterned paper from the Bo Bunny    pad. I added a border of green cardstock to break it up and wrapped that with some ribbon.

Here's a closer look at the pretty pink plaid bow to finish off my card.
