Good Monday Morning friends of DiesRUs! Today I'm sharing a project using: 1023 - Tag Book Pop-up by Karen Burniston.
There are so many cute themes that this really fun set can be used for that every one will love and be amazed by. I made this one with a "by the sea" theme for my granddaughter's birthday which is in June and she loves the beach.
Step 1: I used a beach themed cardstock pack as well as some coordinated solid cardstock.
This die set comes with 17 dies many of which are decorator pcs for the panels. But there are a couple of large pieces that make up the "pop-up" mechanism. It' easy to assemble but I highly recommend that you watch: Tag Book Pop up Assembly video. Plus there are sooo many cute variations that Karen will show you at the end.
Step 2: This is the fun step, when you get to start decorating the panels. I used Elizabeth Craft Designs 1147 - Shells Small (currently out of stock) but actually the set below would be great too;
The other die set I used is: 1125 - Ropes 1
The above photo is how I started to build each panel before I link the two tabs between the two middle panels. I like to do this before I connect them while can get them to lay flat to easily make sure the deco pcs. adhere well.
Once you're happy with how your panels look and have everything glued in place, then attach the two center tabs as shown in the video above. It's basically one tab on top and one underneath.
Here's a closer look at the finished inside:
The first panel has:783 - Happy Birthday from Elizabeth Craft Designs and the bucket and pail is from an older Karen Burniston die set.
I added white Bakers twine bows to the inside tabs and turquoise gross grain ribbon. The outside was decorated with elements from the same By the sea cardstock. Here's a look at the card when it's closed. If you love Karen Burniston's dies then hop on over to The DiesRUs Store. They carry a lot of her sets and at a discount!
