Hello and Welcome! Barbara Campbell here today with this fall card. I just love the colors of fall. Not just
the colors, but the feel of the cool air and the smell of home cooked
foods that go along with it.
I decided to make this card with all of the delicious colors and leaves.
I pictured the leaves blowing and tried to show that on this card.
I
used water color paper and die cut the Leafy Breeze die from Memory Box
in white. I left the leaves in the die and colored them. This worked
much faster, as I didn't need to be careful about my coloring. Sorry
for the out of focus picture.
Next I cut the die again and trimmed the sides like this.
Then I channeled my best Jennifer McGuire and placed each leaf back into the die that you see here.
It took a bit of time, but I think the finished card was worth it.
Along
the right side of the die that I trimmed, I glued some gold cord and
then heat embossed the sentiment in gold, from a set by Power Poppy. I
then added more leaves and vines to the upper left and lower right
corners. The are from Poppy stamps Stitched Pumpkin Leaves.
Here is a tip.
After heat embossing the sentiment, my card was warped. To make it
better, I sprayed lightly with water and put the card under a heavy
book. That fixed that.
Here are the dies that I used for this card.
