Today, I am sharing a card fit for a princess!

I combined Karen Burniston's Tropical SceneCastle Pop Up and a Disney Princess, to create this fun card. Ariel, is personally my favorite Disney princess. So this card was especially enjoyable to put together!.
One of the many things I love about Karen's products is the easy to follow YouTube tutorials she has on putting these amazing pieces together!

Disney Gift Bags

Tracy here today with a couple of Disney Gift Bags. Using dies to decorate gift bags can really personalize your gifts. I always buy plain white gift bags at from Dollar Tree and then just decorate away!

Here's the die I used - Disney - Romantic Stroll

Here are all the pieces I cut out

I used white cardstock to cut the die out and then recut just certain portions of the die like the shoes and the hands. I then used my alcohol markers to color in the die cut and used some ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever to adhere the shoes and hands onto the die cut. I adhered Mickey and Minnie to the gift bag along with the die cut balloons using some more of ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever. I used some old Disney Washi Tape along the bottom of the bags. Dies R Us doesn't carry it but we do have a lot of fun washi tape you can find here. I tied some ribbons to the handles and added some red tissue paper and stuffed them full of Disney soaps, shampoos and some Hershey Kisses for my granddaughters.

Products Used

We carry all sorts of Licensed Dies like Harry Potter, Marvel Comics characters and DC Comics characters. Any of these would be perfect for kids Birthday parties.
The Romantic Stroll one I used is out of stock but here's a similar one.

Last Minute Christmas Cards

Hello crafting friends and welcome back to the DRU Inspiration Blog. Lena here today to share a few last minute Christmas cards with you.  It's the 1st day of December and by now you should have all your cards done, written and ready to mail, but if you're like me, there are always a few last minute cards that you need.  This is where my frame dies come into play.  Here are a few ideas of how you can whip up a few cards that take about 15 - 20 minutes each :-).

For my first card, I used Jeanine's Art Christmas Tree Frame. I dded a backing die cut with the Silhouette, a winter pic from a recycle Christmas card, a few sequins and it was done. If you want more info on how to make backing dies for your frame dies, please see this post here

My second card uses the Ice Crystal Frame by Amy Design. Since this is a straight square frame, it was easy to cut a plain square 1/4" bigger and place it as a backing mat. I then added a pair of bells adorned with holly and tiny silver glitter snowflakes to the centre of each of the bigger snowflakes on the die frame. The bells are a die from Marianne Designs.  Every so often, Dies R Us runs a big sale on international dies. During these times, you will find dies from companies such as Marianne Designs, Lea'bilities, and Joy Crafts, etc. The best way to know about these fabulous sales is to subscribe to the Dies R Us Newsletter. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will be able to enter your email address and be put on their mailing list. The focal image is cut from an old calendar. I'm always on the look out for these types of images. You can find them on old Christmas cards, packaging, gift wrapping paper, old calendars, Pinterest and Google.

Sometimes, I look for odd pieces that were left over from previous projects, like this Vintage Minnie by Character World, for example. Do you remember her? To read about how I put her together, please see this post.  I wanted a simple frame for her, so I decided on the Christmas Card Set also by Amy Design.
I used the largest die to cut the card shape. Then cut the holly frame in green and added tiny little red gems for the berries. I think this card came out very CAS but still festive and perfect for Christmas. What do you all think?

The last card I'm sharing with you today, uses the Christmas Greeting Frame by Amy Design. In this case, I traced the outside and the inside of the die so that I could scan it and cut it with the Silhouette to create a frame backing die. I did the same thing with the Merry Christmas greeting which is by Yvonne Creations. I added a piece of burlap snowflake paper to background and called it good. Again, CAS but pretty for Christmas, I think.

I'm sure by now you've figure out why I love my frame dies. They are the best to make quick and easy cards that look like you spent a lot of time making them. I made all four cards, the fronts and the insides in a little less than 2 hours :-)

I hope I was able to help and inspire you to make your "last minute" Christmas cards by using frame dies.  Don't forget to play along at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for your chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the first and fifteenth of every month.  Be sure to Follow Us on Facebook too.
