Hi Everyone, Kristina here today playing with this gorgeous textured birdie die from Memory Box. My other hobby aside from crafting is bird watching so I fell in love with this die right away. I love all the intricate details that Memory Box includes in their dies.
The Process
- I die cut the bird die 1x from Paradise Blue card stock and 2x from white card stock.
- I die cut a circle slightly larger than the Memory Box die to serve as a platform.
- I removed the inside space from the blue die cut leaving only the frame and the bird, and adhered it down to the die cut circle.
- I removed the inner negative pieces from the white die cut and inlayed them into the adhered down blue die cut, like a puzzle, to create one seamless image, but in 2 colors.
- I used precision scissors to cut the branch and bird off the two white die cuts leaving only the circle frame, which I glued down over the blue circle frame one on top of the other.
- I adhered this down to a previously created background using a Gina K stencil, distress ink, and Gina K glitter glitz gel, which I had trimmed down to 4x5.25.
- I adhered the whole panel down to a Paradise Blue a2 card base, and added a simple stamped sentiment to finish the card.
Thank you for stopping by today!
