Pop-up Sleigh

Hello and welcome back crafting friends. Lena here today sharing a Christmas card and wishing you and your loved ones the very best during this festive season and an awesome 2019!
Now on to my card!  It's Christmas Eve so I thought what better way to celebrate than to share a card with you featuring a pop up sleigh :-)

We all have those beautiful paper pads that are almost too pretty to use. Because of this, you don't want to cover them up with too many embellishments, right?  Well this is where a few simple dies come into play.
As you see I kept the front of the card very simple by just adding the Santa's Sleigh and Reindeer from Cheery Lynn Dies.

And then when you open the card, there is some more of the pretty paper, but most importantly a pop-up surprise :-)  In order to make this pop-up sleigh, I used the Sleigh Pop-up die from Karen Burniston.
Here is a link to Karen's tutorial video on how to put this pop-up together. And you can actually use it in two different ways:  the traditional pop-up as I show in this card, AND as a stand alone pop-up.
For my greeting and to take up a bit of the empty space I cut a sentiment mat using the Label Ornament die from Precious Merieke.

Here is a close up of the sleigh. If you watch Karen's video, you will find other versions of this card and other ways on how to use these dies.  It's really very good value for your money.  Each die set consists of 9 dies.

For a quick recap of the materials I used, here is a list with links to the Dies R Us store for your convenience.
