Charming Grunge or Rustic Charm?

Happy Wednesday, friends!

It's Nancy, from The Nickel Nook, back with a new project share!

As you can see by my title,
I didn't quite know what to call this card.

I love the combination of a grungy or rustic background,
and the delicacy and prettiness of a doily, flowers, or ribbon!
So that's what I did for today's card!

First, I chose the paper I wanted for my background.
I die-cut it using the medium frame die from the Yvonne Creations - Holly Jolly Card Set.
Then I chose a coordinating cardstock, folded it,
and used the largest frame die to cut the card base.

For the doily I chose the Cheery Lynn - Spring Flower Burst Doily.
I cut it from the same cardstock as the card base.
Once I had it in place in the center of the background,
I decided that it covered up too much of the brick design.
So I cut the doily in half, and adhered it in place along the top of the card.

I then added some pretty little flowers,
and a big sparkly bow!

I think it's such a wonderful combination of elements!
There are so many beautiful doily dies to choose from in the Dies R Us shop.
Try making a fun Charming Grunge or Rustic Charm card of your own!

Thanks so much for stopping in today!
I'll be back soon with another fun project!

Let Your Dreams Set Sail

Hello again! It's Lisa back with another beach themed card using lots of Dies R Us die cuts. Did I mention this is my favorite time of the year? I just love everything about the beach and I can never get enough of it.

I was inspired by the beautiful white sandy beaches and kept the colors simple. Blues, grey and green  palm tree tops.

I recently received these stitched clouds and well you will being seeing more of them soon....

I die cut 2 sets of blue clouds, 2 shades of blue and 1set in white with an extra small one.

As for the shore birds, I didn't separate them for fear I might lose one die cut. So I keep them the way they come from the manufacture and die cut one piece in white then color them with a copic marker.

The palm trees and grass are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I layered the grey on top of the green and added the tiny coconuts in the centers in white. Hurry to get yours too...

Hope you were inspired and enjoyed!

So Glad You're My Friend!

Friendly greetings, fellow crafters!  It's Julie with you today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.   I have 2 different friends that I send cards to every week.  One of them is a gentlemen that just turned 98!  I started sending him a card a week when he turned 90.  It's turned into quite a tradition.  I need lots of friendship cards, so I enjoy making them!

Today, I have a friendship card with a spring twist to it:

The hardest part of this card was finding the papers I wanted to use.  I played with papers quite a while to find a combination I like.  Here's a picture of all the supplies.  I'll link everything at the bottom of this post.

I cut out all the die cut pieces.  What I really like about this craft die from Sue Wilson is that it can be used in either a portrait or landscape direction.

Here's all the pieces once they were die cut.  Then, it was just a matter of constructing the card.

Ready for sending, don't you think?

Dies R Us supplies used on this card:

I used a Cheery Lynn butterfly similar to this one:

Thinking Of You

Hey friends!
I am sad to say this is my last post here at Dies R Us. I have enjoyed my time here and am astonished at how the design team uses these awesome dies!
For today's post, I created a beautiful "Thinking of You" card:

I used Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow 6x6 paper pad for my card and stitched the layers in place. I used the Frantic Stamper Geometric Lace Flower Doily die and cut it out of teal patterned paper. I cut the Cheery Lynn Designs Olive Branch twice from green patterned paper. I stamped the flower with 3 different Distress Oxide Inks:
I outlined the flower with a black Sharpie. I fussy cut the leaves and flower.
I glued these all together using ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap attached to get just the right amount of glue.

Hummingbird Sympathy

Hi, fellow paper crafters!  It's Julie with you today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  It's always a pleasure to be sharing some of the wonderful Dies R Us products with you!

I'm a church organist.  One of my duties, besides Sunday services, is playing for funerals.  I seem to always need a sympathy card.  Today, I used some gorgeous Dies R Us products and created a sympathy card:

I'll go over all the supplies a bit later in this post, but here's a photo of them, before I started:

The nesting dies are from Yvonne Creations Dies.  It is the Nesting Frame Die.  I love this die, but there's a bit of a learning curve with it.  Make sure you keep track of your layers, or it can get confusing.  I've ruined some paper, cutting the pattern in the wrong direction.  I always reassure myself -- it's only paper!!

Here's a shot of how I did the card base:

Notice how I leave the largest die outside of the fold of the card base.   If you look closely at the finished card, you can see where that fold is.  The outside layer is exactly the same size on the left side of the card (where the fold is).

Now, as promised -- a list of supplies used:
