Hello, Janice here with you again to share a birthday card for a male of any age,
who loves to play or watch golf.
Of course, it could also be made for Father's Day which is just around the corner.
Lastly, the colours could be also adapted a little and it could made into a female card!
I love making cards with these Spellbinders Card Creator dies. Today I have used 'Happy Days'.
It is such a versatile die set, which includes nine little dies to decorate your card.
It can be used for any type of celebration, plus the card when made, folds flat for postage!
I started by cutting the card base in green card, folded and scored where marked. I cut two of the scalloped edge and glued them behind each of the sides.
Using the insert die, I cut two pieces of white card, and embossed the top half of each one
with my Darice - Clouds Embossing Folder.
I next inked a blending brush with my Tumbled Glass distress ink, and lightly ran the brush
over the clouds to give the hint of blue sky. I then glued these two pieces of card to the card base.
Next with my Memory Box - Stitched Border dies, I cut scraps of three different
shades of green card, and arranged them at the bottom of the white card,
to give the effect of a golf course.
** A tip to get them to fit exactly - I ran each one through the insert die in the
position I wanted to stick them onto the card. **
I added two small squares, embossed and coloured as above to the inside steps of the card, then attached small pieces of green card for the golf course.
Using the Memory Box Mini Golf Carts dies, I cut one buggy and three
flags and coloured them with Promarker pens and positioned them on the card.
Finally I cut a small Spellbinders Nestability oval die in green card, and a small tag from the
Sizzix Framelits Phrases die and stamp set, then added my sentiment
Here are the dies I have used, the links are in the description above:-

very cool design, like the different colored green's for the grass, cute little scene!
ReplyDeleteLove how you lined up the clouds and hills from the first page to the last.....amazing card Janice. I tried making this type of card manually with a score board once and gave up on it. Maybe I need to try that die.
ReplyDeleteGREAT card, love the step fold. Those dies make this super easy! So FUN!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat masculine card. I haven't seen those card dies. Guess I better go take a look.
