Creative Use of your Dies

Hi everyone I am super excited to be sharing my first official post as a member of the Dies R Us design team yay me!!!  I hope everyone enjoys my projects and can take something creative away.  So, in joining this team my thought process was I am going to challenge myself to really try and think outside the box and  to find creative uses other than obvious with our dies.  Now i am not saying I will succeed every time but I love how my globe came to life.  .   So today, I used the "Lovely Circle Frame" from Jeanine's Art and worked to created a 3D Shaker Snow globe!  .  Below is my finished card and if you don't have mirror board I highly recommend it!

• Take your Lovely Circle Frame die and run it through your machine using a piece of silver mirror cardstock. (machine of choice Gemini strictly a preference) This is our top layer or front and you will need to remove all pieces that are snowflakes or snowflake looking.  Set this aside.

           

• Now for making the globe and give it the appearance of being 3d you will repeat the step above cutting the diecut image multiple times.  The more layers you have the more depth you have.  I cut 6 layers and one layer of foam.  Then glue them all together.
• Now time to make our globe come to life and give us that depth so we can add the shaker portion.   Keep in mind you will be adding enough layers to your liking.  I love to make sure there is no question whether or not its 3D and my shaker pieces more more freely.

•   I stamped/colored Lawn Fawn "Mom&Me" stamp and dies and colored them with copics for the inside of my globe.
• Finally simply glue everything together to complete your card.
