Grateful for you

 Grateful for You

Hello Everyone,

My name is Diane with "Pretty Fun Stuff" and I am super excited to be here with you today.  I am one of the new Dies R Us Design Team members for the next term.  I hope that I will inspire you with my designs.

I have used the Scrolly Bird Tree by Tutti Designs:

How I created my card:

I took 100lb white cardstock and cut it 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and scored it at 4 1/4 for an A2 sized card. I cut some starry night paper slightly smaller than my card and adhered it down.  Then I took a layer of deep green/blue card stock cut slightly smaller than the previous layer and added it. Then I took some designer paper that looked like a night sky and cut it 3 5/8 x 4 3/4 and place it down. Next I took a piece of 3 5/8 x 5/8 piece of brown scrap and placed it towards the bottom for my tree to be grounded.

Next, I die cut the tree in four different colors of cardstock. Black, Brown, Redish Brown and Coral.

Then I layered the redish brown on top of the brown to make my die cut a little thicker and easier to work with.  I cut out the birds from the black die cut, then set aside.

Here you can see the Redish Brown on top.

Next, I cut out the coral tiny flowers.  I layered them on top of my die cut.

Here you can see me adding the little flowers to the front of my die.

After I place my black birds on top then I added some tiny pearls to the centers of the flowers.

Next, I stamped my sentiment in black ink. I cut out a few more little coral flowers to add them to the left hand corner under the word grateful.  That's it.  The card is finished.

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.
