Holly Christmas

Holly and Christmas go hand in hand.

Hi everyone!  This is Monica of HeartcraftPaper.  I hope that you find yourself in good spirits.  This holiday season will be much more different than anything else.  This is why it's so important to send our greetings in the mail.  Here's an easy yet very beautiful Christmas card.  This can easily be made in quantities for a large or small mailing list.  Hope you enjoy.

Supplies

Apple Green Cardstock
Red Glitter Cardstock
Gold Cardstock
White Cardstock
Black Glitter Cardstock
Acetate
Black Embossing Powder
Embossing Ink
Liquid Glue
1/8" Double Sided tape
1/2" Foam Squares

Let The Crafting Begin

Start by cutting the Lumberjack Christmas paper to 4.25" x 5.5" and adhere that to your card base.  I like using liquid glue because it gives me a bit to be able to move it around.

Die cut the Holly Background using the apple green.  Cut out squares of the red glitter cardstock to fit over the berry groupings.  There are a total 5 groupings.  Die cut the berries in one pass.  Once the items are cut out, adhere the apple green cut out onto the center of your card.

Apply liquid glue to the berry sections of the background.  Then, place the berry cut outs into their allocated place.

Using the Love Machine die, cut the base out of black glitter cardstock. Run a second piece of gold cardstock.  This time you will only cut out the strips at the bottom and the top to retain.  Cut the circle outline out of white cardstock and a heart out of red glitter cardstock.  For the acetate and white circle I traced around the circle outline die and cut by hand.

Using 1/8" double sided tape, adhere the acetate to the circle outline and set aside.  Using liquid glue adhere the heart to the center of the solid white circle.  Then using more 1/8" double sided tape adhere the acetate piece to the solid circle.  This will enclose the heart within.

Using 1/8" double sided tape, adhere the acetate to the circle outline and set aside.  Using liquid glue adhere the heart to the center of the solid white circle.  Then using more 1/8" double sided tape adhere the acetate piece to the solid circle.  This will enclose the heart within.

Line the back of the two sections of the cut outs with 1/2" foam squares.  Adhere down the globe base first and then slip the circle piece slightly under the base.

For the sentiment, stamp out the Merry using embossing ink and heat emboss with black powder.  Die cut this out and adhere it to over the snow globe.  You will repeat this process with the Christmas sentiment only this time you will cut the paper down close enough to the wording.  Adhere this directly down onto the card next to the globe.

Your card is now complete.  This is how your card should look.
