Ghost Ride

Hey everyone, Anne from Anne-Made here today with a cute Halloween tag.  This tag uses two of the newly released Halloween dies from Tutti Designs and an older Tutti tag die.

The following Tutti Design dies were used for today's project:

Tutti Designs: Cross Stitch Tags (these Nesting Stitched Tags would also work...same size, different edging)

I started out by creating my own sparkly black cardstock with a homemade spritz that is so easy to make.  I added a little bit of Perfect Pearls (Perfect Pearl) mica powder to a spritzer bottle and then added some water.  No measuring....if I don't like it, I add a little more Perfect Pearls to the water and shake it up again. The great thing about this is that once you make a bottle, it lasts for a long time.  Just shake it up before you use it every time.

Then next step was to die cut all my pieces.  I die cut the Spooky Fun truck from this black cardstock and a couple other colors so I could paper piece.  I also die cut the Spooky Boo twice; once from the remainder of my black cardstock and again from the purple used it paper piece my truck.  (I didn't take a photo of the purple cardstock being die cut as I only wanted the negative pieces.)

Now it's time to die cut the tag base using the Nesting Tags die.  I decided to go with this cute plaid cardstock.

And finally, it's time for the assembly.  I added the negative pieces from the purple onto the black Spooky Fun truck and fussy cut out the ghosts to adhere on top of the black ones.  I offset them a tiny bit so the black would create a slight shadow.

I fussy cut the "boo" from the rest of the die cut and adhered it on top of the purple, offsetting it slightly.  I also added some sparkle to the web using a Nuvo Glitter marker. After adding it to the web, I decided the truck parts needed it as well.  So I carefully added the glitter marker to the small negative pieces.

I also added a couple confetti pumpkins to the back of the pickup bed.

Here's a side view of the assembled tag so you can see the dimension and the sparkly goodness.

And one final look at today's project:

  1. This is fantastic! I love the background you've created. Those truck riding ghosts are so fun. I especially love the script "boo" sentiment.
