Flower Shaped Easter Card

Greetings, fellow die lovers!  Is it seeming like spring at all where you live?  We have had 3 feet of snow in a week where I live as I write this post, so spring seems far away, but I'm confident it will get here!  This is Julie with you today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers, where we will have lots of muddy paws when that 3 feet of snow melts!

If you have followed my posts for the Dies R Us Inspiration blog at all, you know I like to create shaped cards.  I made another one today.  This one, using a fun springtime die from Precious Marieke:

There, that will get your attention, won't it?  Fun, eye catching, bright!  It's just the effect I like when creating a card.  Let me tell you how I did it:

I started with supplies from Precious Marieke, and Impression Obsession (links below), and coordinating 6x6 papers.

Here's everything laid out, ready to run through my die cutting machine.  You'll notice it's held in place with Washi tape.  I find this comes off without damaging the paper.

Here's everything after I die cut it:

I made the card base using the largest flower die, leaving a portion of the die outside of the paper.  You can see the fold of the pink paper on the far left of the above picture.  I attached the largest flower die cut piece to the pink base.  Then, you no longer see the card fold, just the flower petals.

Here's one more look at that bright, bold, flowery shaped Springtime card:
