Winter Greetings

Hello, Alicia on the blog today with some Winter Greetings.  In my area of the country we have not had snow yet but these cards make me look forward to the first white layer to blanket the ground.

I used several specialty papers on my cards including ice blue shimmer cover stock,
arctic shimmer paper, glitter and chalkboard card stock.

I upcycled the lovely fiber I used for the scarf from a plant I received as a Mother's Day gift.  As you may have guessed the plant did not make it and I am usually very good with plants.  The hint of sparkle made the perfect accent to my snowman.

My second card uses a glitter card base.  I then alternated ice blue and glitter card stocks cut with Frantic Stamper Stitched Corner Cut Tags and the circles included with Karen Burniston Pop Up dies.  I added a dash of snowflakes, a die also included in the Snowman Pop Up set.

I decorated the inside background a little bit different in each card.  Now that I have used the Karen Burniston Pop Up dies several times I feel very comfortable experimenting.

  4. Both cards capture that icy snow feeling that happens when the weather is cold. Something that I miss here in Florida. Love your pop up snowman.
