Hello and welcome back. Do you sometimes find yourself in need of a quick card? If so, stick around and I, Lena, will show you how easy it is to make a quick card by just using a couple of dies. One of my favorite type of dies to use in these cases are frame dies. They are easy and fun to use and make the card without you having to spend too much time adding embellishments.
In this case, I've used the Vehicle Frame die by Amy Designs.
I took the inside piece of the frame and embossed it with a Diamond Plate embossing folder. When you add it back into the center of the frame, you have a beautifully embossed background. Next, I chose a focal die to fit within the frame. I chose to use the Convertible Roadster by Frantic Stamper. I cut two of these so that I could place one on the inside too.
I stamped a birthday message and it was done, one easy peasy card made in less than 15 minutes.
I bet if you go through your dies, you will find lots of beautiful dies that you can use as focal images, so all you need are a few frame dies. You can also use either a stamped sentiment or die cut words as your focal point on your card.
Here is an example of a quick card made with a frame die and using a word die as the focal point. I used the Musical Frame by Precious Marieke, the Just a Note by Sue Wilson and the Virtuoso Music die by Memory Box. I've been told that this musical die is retired, so here are a few other musical dies that will work just as well. These are the Musical Stave by Amy Designs, Musical Score by Frantic Stamper and the Fancy Music Border by Memory Box
I hope my post has inspired you to add a few frame dies to your collection. When in need of a quick card, they definitely help you to create a pretty card in a jiffy.
