Happy 4th Of July!

Joyce with Paper Finesse here today with a card for the 4th of July. The entire "frame" not the fireworks background was cut with Amy Design - American Frame die.

I cut the frame out of white cardstock using the  Amy Design - American Frame. I couldn't just leave it white so I covered a small piece of paper to fit behind the flag and the stripes on the right. I colored the paper red and added a thick layer of red Stickles. I also added a bit of gold to the flame and blue on USA and the flag. I also put silver glitter paper behind the Statue Of Liberty and ended with coloring the skyline dark gray.

For the fireworks I tested embossing powders I thought would show up on the dark background. Since the red didn't show well I stamped with white, dried then embossed in red. Still not so good so I stamped again in silver.

The blue and pink didn't show the detail lines so well so I experimented. I stamped with Versamark then brushed on Pearl EX powders which worked great! The colors in this shot are more true to life. The gold, greens and purple are the Pearl Ex ones.

I added a Celebrate sentiment cut from silver glitter paper.
