Winter Wonderland

Hi everyone, Deanna here with another inspirational project for the Dies R Us blog.  Here is what I have for you today.

This fun die is the Tutti Design Snow Globe Scene die. Many of these dies are very intricate dies to cut.  Tutti Designs makes a metal adapter plate to use when cutting these dies.

The adapter plate acts as a shim to help ensure these dies cut properly the first time. I layer my base plate, then my no cut cutting pad, then my die face up. Next I put the card stock on top of the die then my cutting plate and then my metal adapter plate.  I then run everything through my die cut machine and get a perfect cut. You can use this adapter plate with other intricate dies besides Tutti Designs.

For the card itself, I used some distress watercolor paper and stormy sky and chipped sapphire distress and inked about half to two thirds of the paper to create a sky for my card.  I lightly spritzed it with some water to distress the sky a bit. The distress watercolor paper is pre cut to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2".

Once I had the sky ready, I rounded the corners of the card stock and attached my snow globe die.

Now, what's a snowy scene without some glitter.  So I used my zig two way glue pen to apply some adhesive to the snow areas of the die cut and applied some Hero Arts prisma glitter to the areas.

Next I cut a white card and scored it to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  I rounded the corners so they matched the card front.  I attached the card front to my card base.  I added some snowflake sequence to the card and it was finished.

I hope you will join in on the fun over at the Dies R Us Challenge blog.  Be sure to pop over to the Dies R Us store to do some shopping while you are here. And don't forget to like us on our Facebook page.  You don't want to miss out on anything that is happening at Dies R Us.
