Poinsettias from an Embossing Folder

Ann here with a card I made using a gorgeous Darice Mosaic Poinsettia embossing folder which is available at the Dies R Us Store.

Darice - Embossing Folder - Mosaic Poinsettia

Here's another photo without all the shine from the camera:

To make the card, I embossed on white card stock.  Then I just painted it all in using distress inks and a paint brush.  To give the sparkle, I brushed on some Ceramcoat Sparkle Glaze paint by Delta Creative.  This added a clear iridescent sparkle and has tiny pieces of glitter in it.  Once that was dry, I manually cut around the embossing and adhered it to  piece of linen white card stock.  By cutting out the image, I didn't have to be real careful trying to stay within the lines when painting it in.

Since the card is going to be mailed, I wanted to keep the flower centers flat and not use any gems which would likely put holes in the envelope or fall off of the card.  I colored the centers with Smooch pearlized gold accent paint.  The top panel is layered on top of a piece of  gold Shimmer Sheetz.

I can see so many more possibilities with this embossing folder.  To see all the embossing folders available at Dies R Us, click here.
