Daisies ~ The Friendliest Flowers

Good morning Dies R Us friends!  Birgit here with you today!

"Don't you think Daisies are the friendliest flower?" Anyone recognize what movie that's from?  Meg Ryan said it in "You've Got Mail", one of my all time favorite movies and yes, I do think daisies are so friendly!!

I started by cutting the Frantic Stamper Basket Weave die from white card stock and added it to a white card base.

Next, I die cut the Die-Namites Daisy Bunch twice out of white card stock.  I colored one set using copics and then cut off the flower heads from the second set, leaving them white and adhered them over the colored daisy heads, slightly off center so the color would show through.

The base of the Elizabeth Craft Small Butterfly is cut from white and the top layer is cut from light blue card stock.  I brushed some Icicle Stickles onto the top of the top layer and set it aside to dry.

I cut a stitched oval out of the same light blue card stock and stamped the sentiment on the top portion and adhered it to the basket weave panel.  I added the daisies with gem centers and layered the butterfly to the top right corner to complete the card.

Here's my creative tip of the day:
Step your die cuts up a notch by adding glitter and/or gems to add sparkle and shine!

Here's a list of dies I used that can be found at Dies R Us:

    1. A really pretty card Birgit. What a lovely way to use the flower die, a great way to add dimension to the flower head, and they frame your sentiment along with the butterfly beautifully.
