Hello friends, Birgit here with you today featuring a card with a beautiful floral bouquet!
I started by cutting these flowers and leaves from Cheery Lynn Floral Bouquet Kit out of Elizabeth Craft Soft Finish Card Stock and inked them up using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I love working with this soft finish card stock as it truly is soft to the touch and has a nice bit of texture to it.
Once I decided on the layout of my flowers I pressed a piece of Glad Press N' Seal onto the arrangement and set it aside. This was a tip I learned from the incredibly talented Laurie Willison.
This allows me to keep the design in tact while I continued on with my project.
Next I cut a pretty frame using Sue Wilson's Australian Collection Background out of white card stock and then I assembled my card front.
Once the card front was ready, I simply added Glossy Accents to the back side of the arrangement, flipped it over and added it to my project exactly where I want it to go and then peeled off the Press N' Seal.
I added a smaller flower to the center of the large flower with a piece of foam tape to add dimension
and two strips of silver sparkle paper to both sides of the lacy frame and a sentiment from PTI's Bold & Beautiful Sentiments that was also popped up using foam tape.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness is that ever gorgeous, your coloring is just beautiful on the bouquet, and the framing of it all is just beautiful, I see I have to add a few things to my wish list :) I had never heard of that cardstock and the great tip with the press and seal, thanks so much for sharing both with us :)
ReplyDeleteBirgit, your inking of the dies is awesome as usual. You get such a different look by doing that vs. cutting dies out of already colored cardstock. I wish I had your talent. Beautiful card.
