Happy First Day of Spring...

Hi, its Robin with my design of the week for Dies R Us! It's hard to believe today is the first day of Spring and Easter is just around the corner.

My card uses Memory Box Twisty Stalk and Taylored Expression's Banner Stacklets 1 dies. This quick and simple card can be put together in no time!

After cutting the banners I sponged the edges, of the floral card stock, with Distress Ink Shabby Shutters and glued them together. The Twisty Stalk was glued to the banner using a product I just found, E6000 IN A SPRAY BOTTLE! OK, maybe you already use it, but to me it's a new find. Makes gluing the fine detailed dies, like Tattered Lace, a snap to put on your cards. This glue dries clear and gives you a little time to position your die cut. I hold my die cut over a trash can in my studio and spray. TIP: When using this glue make sure you do a couple of test sprays into the trash can first, spray your die cut and wipe the nozzle with a damp cloth or paper towel when done. If you forget, you just pick off the dried glue and you are good to go.

The base of my card is made up of three layers. The floral layer, Flower Patch from Echo Park, is sponged with Distress Ink Salty Ocean and is stitched around the edge to the other layers. All layers were then added to my white card base. I put buttons on the banner for flowers and added the banner to the layered card using foam pop ups.

The sentiment was stamped on heavy weight velum with StazOn ink and adhered to card with small glue dots.

Until next week… thanks for stopping by, Robin!
