Alicia:
I live is the gorgeous Adelaide Hills in South Australia & am married to a remarkable man. I'm a mother of 2 small precious people & a part-time worker. I started scrapbooking in 2005 after attending a friends hosted scrapbooking party. I didn't know what I was in for & walked away with a new love. I moved onto digital scrapbooking when my daughter was born in 2007 (& still do) as it was easier, quicker & both grandparents wanted scrap pages too so it was easier to do one page digitally & email it to everyone.
I needed to use my paper up so I started playing at card making. I had always admired all those beautiful coloured images (Magnolia, La La Land, CC Designs etc) so I bought a few stamps & used my pencils to start with. Pencils just didn't have the wow factor I was after so I decided to pick up my first Copic in 2011 after visiting a craft fair & self taught.
My sister-in-law introduced me to the world of online card making challenges late last year, so I started my blog in October 2013 & have not looked back!
Darlene:
Hi! I’m Darlene Pavlick from Akron, Ohio, USA. My husband, Mark & I are originally from Pittsburgh, PA and that is where our families reside. We have one daughter who is married with two children, Morgan (21) and Jonathan (16) and has her own accounting business. She is the one who got me started in paper crafting about 10 years ago. To make a long story short, once she introduced me to scrapbooking/card making, I’ve been paper crafting every day since. It is my passion and mental therapy!
I am retired, have the basement of our home set up as my ‘crafting cave’ and spend lots of time there spreading my creative wings! I’ve been blessed to meet so many wonderfully talented people from around the world through this craft and many have become personal friends!
Mikha:
My name is Mikha Adriani, but you could simply call me Mikha :) I studied Interior Design and I am an interior designer to be soon; I've just graduated last year. I live in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia.
I've been in love with art since I was a kid. My father and my brothers love playing guitar and drum while my mother loves knitting. So yes, we have art in our blood, LOL.
In late 2012 I was asked to attend q card makers gathering. That's the moment I totally fell in love with this world!! What I love most about being here is meeting new friends world wide, inspiring others, exchanging ideas, getting life experiences, etc; things like this made me get hooked in this world :)
I love to make cards, 3D projects, scrapbook for any occasions (usually I make scrapbook for gifts), and I love to explore new things and techniques!
Robin:
My love of crafting started when I was 8 and my aunt taught me or at least tried to teach me to knit. Over the years my creative outlet has always been some form of needle, fabric or paper crafting; I always had something going on. Most of my design and composition were learned in college. From there I spent many years in the photographic printing business and then into computer printing. I was pulled back into paper crafting, more specifically card making, when I saw a die cutting demonstration about 2 years ago, I was hooked. Since that time I have amassed an impressive collection (100's) of dies; they are addictive and make it very easy to create a card or paper project. My husband and I have been married almost 28 years, he has always supported my need to craft and built the most amazing craft studio for me. I am a personal trainer in the mornings which leaves me the rest of the day to have fun in my studio and play.
Sherri:
To help you get acquainted, let me start out by saying I am a mother & grandmother who lives in Iowa with a “fur-person” named Brady. I am newly retired (YEAA!!) after working as the export “expert” for a large chain of cold storages for 33 years. While I loved my job, it was very stressful at times & I took up card making as a hobby to help me relax. That hobby quickly turned into an addiction, which my daughter assures me even a 12 step program would not be enough to fix!
I’ve always been involved in crafts of some kind with knitting, tatting, tole painting, oil painting… But I think card making has given me the most joy! And the best part for me is all the fantastic people I have met on line through my blog! I’ve made some life-long friends because of it.
