Greetings friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with my first post for Dies R Us. I am so excited to be part of this team, and put all these fun dies to use.
For my first post I wanted to start off with something that I love... Sunflowers. This Birch Press Die to me when I look at it, looks exactly like a sunflower with it's 3 pieces, and just knew it was the die for this first post.
Using Recollections 110 lb White Cardstock I ran a panel through my Vagabond 2 die cutting machine. This die cuts so smoothly that the cut out pieces just fell right out with no problem. The great thing about this die is that it cuts in 3 pieces, the smaller inner circle, the medium inner circle and then the main outer panel.
After my panel was cut, I went to work with Distress Oxide Inks in
Gathered Twigs,
Mustard Seed and
Tumbled Glass to blend on each section.
Once I had my blends the way I wanted them, I set them aside to dry and Stamped out my sentiment using
VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink from an MFT stamp set (Bitty Thanks and Gratitude).
When everything was dry I adhered my panel segments together on a white cardbase using
ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever and cleaned my stamps using
The Best Cleaner Ever.
Don't forget to come join in the fun at the
