Christmas Treat Box

Hello, fellow paper crafters!  It's Dawn with you today with my first post for Dies R Us.  I'm super excited to be on this wonderful team and to be sharing with you!

Today I have a little treat box to share with you.

Here is a photo of all the pieces that I used in my project today:

I started out by cutting a strip of cardstock to 12 x 3 1/4. Score at 5 1/4 and at 6 3/4.  I then used the dies from Elizabeth Crafts Designs Tags & More 1 - Lace (this die isn't available in the store, but you can easily use one of the other Tags & More die sets).  I layed the tag top die on one end of the strip. I ran it through my cutting machine.  I then repeated with the other end.

I then laid the overlay on the cut end and ran that through my cutting machine. I repeated with the other end. Fold on score lines.

I then cut 2 pieces of cardstock to 2 x 1 3/4. Score the one side of the 2" side 1/4 " on one side. turn to the 1 3/4" side and score two side 1/4".  Fold on the scored lines. Apply 1/4 tape to the right side of the scored sections.

To create the treat box, peel the tape off the 2" side and align that side up to the space between the folded 12 x 3 1/4 strip.  Repeat with the other side.

Peel the tape backing off the other sides and align those up and stick together.  Repeat with the other end.  This will create a box.

Decorate as you wish. I decided to make a christmas treat box using Creative Expressions Cut and Lift Poinsettias and Impression Obsession Merry Christmas dies.

Tie the box closed with a piece of ribbon.
